As you say Andy, this is a one-off weekend so ‘concession fans’ are hardly being fleeced- maximum of £4 - two clubs I think being £3. I am sure the majority of fans would be happy on this occasion that their club (home support) is getting additional revenue for this one-off match. I know of one club who, advised on the ‘non-concession’ prices so that those affected, if so wished, could buy their ticket in advance, so no additional cost to them. As also said in a previous comments, those who have season tickets would not have been affected by this. Bigger worries to think about - me thinks!

Spoke to the Groundhop guy who is tasked to do the actual counts at each of the grounds this year. For Saturday matches, he said that generally, the first/last matches, are best supported, with the two middle matches showing a drop in numbers. This seems to be in favour with what HibeeJibee says in his comments. The reason the guy gave for his thoughts, is that some of the groundhoppers may choose to do something different between first/last matches, or go to a ‘non groundhop match’, such as the Bonnyrigg Rose v East Fife match.

Agreed NB and Dundonald has had its fair share of postponements this season.

You won 2-0 so give a wee bit credit surely - even if that’s just because Dunbar are into the next round! ’no very good’ - seems to be the main theme for most of your views on your team so far this season, not just a take on last night. I think though, that Dunbar’s main motive this season will be for a quick return to the Premier League. From a neutral’s point, Dunbar seem to be going the right way on that objective. If you look at where Nitten and WW are in the league (other relegated sides from last season), I think their supporters would gladly be where you are now. No, I wasn’t at the game last night, but have been to five matches at Dunbar in previous weeks.

13 pts ahead in the league and a cup win and no flicker of any enjoyment of how well your team are doing. Whether or not Dunbar win the league (most probably, they will), your team will get promoted straight back to the Premier league for next season. Thank God they are not in 3rd/4th place, or goodness knows how you’d be feeling then!

Wonder if Callum thinks Bo’ness announcement was a tad too late? Quite surprised at this move, as I am not sure Callum will have the same resources/financial back up at Penicuik as he did at Tranent. Obviously, time will tell if this is a good appointment or not.

Musselburgh have beaten the three sides above them in the league, so there is where the quality is. But three of five losses (two against Tynecastle & Haws) seem to have been their Achilles heel, in their hope to win the Premier League this season.

Maybe Fife is the new Glasgow, where rain is concerned HoB and Dundonald's grounds appear to have the same troubles this season with their pitches. At least Burgh hadn't played Haws so far this season to allow the switch to take place this coming Saturday

This season, Musselburgh won at Linlithgow and beat both Sauchie and Jeanfield at home. But, all about opinion and Linlithgow still in the driving seat at this time.

Linlithgow Rose still in commanding position at top of Premier League. But, with only one point from last two home matches, they are giving Jeanfield, Musselburgh and Sauchie hope that leaders can be caught. Also, The Rose still have to play Jeanfield and Musselburgh away from home.

See Liam scored again tonight in the friendly against Preston Ath. Fourth goal in last five matches. Coupled with Musselburgh having the Premier league’s equal best defensive record, Liam must be in the running for player of the year award at end of season.

4-5 matches ago, Penicuik would have been looking to finish in top 2 this season. But, 3 draws and a loss in last 5 games seem to have paid to that thought. Am sure Penicuik would have celebrated leaving Olivebank with a draw!! With Musselburgh, Jeanfield and Sauchie all winning on Saturday, coupled by Linlithgow losing at home to LTHV, these wins take on added importance - particularly as all 3 still have to play Linlithgow again before the end of season. Big transformation for Burgh compared to last season.

On twitter, the attendance for the midweek match against Spartans was quoted as 125. That must be the smallest home crowd at Newtown Park in many a year? Surely the committee must be worried about that? The loss of revenue alone must be a concern for attracting new players/sponsorship alike.

Two good articles. Great to see two signings from a club two divisions higher that the EoS Premier League. In contrast to last season where most were from lower divisions. Sure George and Bob will aid Burgh's progress. Love the 2nd post detailing Liam Reid's 100 appearance for the club. In truth, when Liam was loaned out to LTHV three seasons ago, I was a bit worried that he wouldn't have a future at Burgh. Thankfully and contrary to my thoughts, this greatly benefited Liam, who got match play on a regular basis, and ultimately Musselburgh. Liam is turning into a great player for the club and now a regular starter. Long may this partnership continue.

Good to be loved Wont be at Olivebank this weekend, but look forward to reading your comments after the match. Last season, Burgh beat Penicuik 1-0 at Olivebank and this season, Penicuik beat Musselburgh 1-0, so matches generally tight between the two clubs. Hopefully a home win to keep Burgh in 2nd place in league.

Five different Burgh scorers; must be pleasing for Liam B and rest of coaching staff. Also 3rd week in a row Liam R been on the score sheet. Last 3 results were against the bottom 3 sides, though not always easy to get 3 wins in a row, which propels Musselburgh into 2nd in league. Going by last 2 weeks results, score this coming weekend could either be 8-1 to Musselburgh, or a 1-1 draw. Likely to be closer to the latter as results against Penicuik are always close affairs.

Another home win on the cards next Saturday against Oakley, then a tougher encounter the following week, again at home, to Penicuik. Win both of these, then Burgh will be in contention with top 2-3 finish come end of season. Don’t see any team catching Linlithgow at top of league. Another clean sheet, which must be pleasing for players/coaching staff. Only 15 conceded in 17 matches - best defensive record in league. Second week in a row that Liam Reid has been on the score-sheet. Will we see another this weekend?

It’s your team, so you will know more than me. But, he was in charge of team with beat HoB 3-1. Can’t remember reason why Pittman left last time? Was it to go to a better/different team, or was he sacked?

Shouldn’t have got rid of Scott McNaughton! Pittman has been a manager before for Broxburn. Never think it’s a good idea for an ex- to come back. Scott should have been given the rest of the season. No chance than Broxburn would go down, so Scott would have had a great opportunity (or not) over the remaining fixtures to show the committee he was good enough for being given the post permanently.
