  1. Auld Heid - you are a nauseating git! At least gbyh’s posts are of interest to read. Your ones never are!
  2. Looks ominous for Blackburn after today’s defeat, particularly after wins for LTHV & Haws, also with Tynecastle drawing. You’d probably think that only 3 wins out of last 3 matches will save the the West Lothian club from relegation.
  3. They were the indicative dates set at start of season and are detailed in the East of Scotland FA website. I assume the dates will remain, with exception if Linlithgow, as Premier League winners have to be involved in play offs for entry into the Lowland League (dates for play-offs) are same as Quarter/Semi Final League cup dates (again; shown on EoSFA website.
  4. Quarter Finals: 20 May 23 Match 1: Haddington Ath v Coldstream Match 2: Dunipace/Whitburn v Penicuik Ath Match 3: Bo’ness Ath v Rosyth Match 4: Linlithgow Rose v Newburgh Semi Finals: 27 May 23 Match 1 winners v Match 3 winners Match 2 winners v Match 4 winners
  5. We will probably find out tomorrow night when the draws are made. Last night when EoS FA did the semi finals / final draws, for the King Cup, the dates for that tournament were announced at same time.
  6. Appears I upset a Penicuik committee member, and if memory serves me right, not for the first time. However, not sure what I said wrong, and not the only one with similar thoughts, including a couple of actual Penicuik supporters. Hey ho
  7. Wrote at the time of his appointment that I thought it was a strange move. Looks like that was proved right! After all the funds he had available at Tranent, there was no way Calum Elliot was going to get the same financial commitment with Penicuik. Hopefully the next Penicuik manager will stay that bit longer!
  8. “Hardly a great night for us” - your response to my post. And - are you saying that posters should only comment on the team they support? Time to grow up imho!
  9. Your nearest rivals get beat, strengthening Dunbar’s chances of winning the league and/or finishing in the top 3 and you don’t think it was good for your team Stew in your own misery
  10. Not sure what your issue is? I am just happy there will be 3 East Lothian teams in the Premier League next season. Nothing more to read in to my comment.
  11. Great night for Dunbar and they did not even have to kick a ball
  12. Agreed! The main priority for any relegated team is an immediate promotion. Dunbar have fared much better than Nitten S and Whitehill W and are surely a nap to be in the top 3 come end of season. I also agree/think that Dunbar will go up as league winners. The coaching staff/ players should be satisfied as things stand, the way their season is going..
  13. Certainly the best ‘Rose’ poster on this site
  14. Having last won the ‘West of Scotland Premier League’ title in 2019-20, is the slow demise of Auchinleck Talbot finally coming to a head? No League title in last two years (about to be 3-years) and teams like Beith, Darvel, Clydebank etc getting stronger. Is it likely Auchinleck can challenge for the league next season with the current set up of officials, or should a new coaching staff be brought in to try and stop the demise?
  15. Yip - Chris King was with Musselburgh and an exceptional free-kick taker. Coincidentally, Chris resigned as Manager from Newtongrange Star earlier on today.
  16. Think the reason was purely down to travel/time issues. Am sure Charlie stays in/near Perth and maybe could not commit any longer to travelling to Edinburgh three times a week. So, when the Scone position became available - much closer to home.
  17. After today’s defeat by Kirkcaldy & Dysart, I am glad some of Dunbar Utd fans have taken stock, before coming on to P&B tonight. Yip; Dunbar have just lost two games in a row at home, three in a row in the league. But, look at the league table. Dunbar are currently seven points clear at the top of League One, with seven league matches remaining. Yes, Glenrothes, K&D and Kinnoull all have four matches in hand. But even if these three teams win all four (probably not!), Dunbar would still be in 3rd place in league, therefore, still on track for straight promotion back to the Premier League for 2023-24 season. All honesty; I think Dunbar will finish, at worst, in 2nd place, if not first. Keep the faith, you Dunbar supporters, and we should see three East Lothian teams in the Premier League next season.
  18. HbJb is without doubt my favourite contributor on P&B. Like @RyanMusselburgh of twitter, HbJb stats/knowledge at this level of football is OFS! Thank you sir
  19. You are never going to stop all the moaners in this day and age and I bet the numbers of persons that do, are minimal. Just looking at comments on twitter, there has been a huge positivity vibe around the Groundhop weekend and the benefits to each the home teams has to be applauded by all (or most). As BWD states, the event has been going on fora number of years now and should be applauded.
