No team wanting to win the West Of Scotland Premier League?
Thought Clydebank were a shoe in at one point, but no wins in February 24 seemed to put the breaks on that one.
Now, Beith have only won, one of last 3 matches.Auchinleck can now draw level if they win all their games in hand, but is that a step too far?
Also, what’s with Clydebank having no league matches since 6 April? Momentum can be key, but this gap must be detrimental to their cause.

3 of the quarter finalists realistically have something to play for in their respective leagues, wonder if this could hamper their chances in the cup.
Certainly didn’t do Glenrothes any harm last night, but I do take your point that for some, relegation/promotion will be the priority.

Well done to Glenrothes tonight. But a woeful and gutless performance from Broxburn.
That’s now two cups they had a great chance of winning gone by the wayside to relegation strugglers (who thoroughly deserved both victories).
Winning the league will paper over some of the cracks but they have let what could have been a great season slip from their grasp.
Really surprised at that result. Haddington hammered Glenrothes 7-0, ten days ago. Just shows that you cannot take any result as read. Great cup win for Glenrothes

TBF Kinnoull had a great run to the end of last season and were minutes away from winning the EOS first division title before Dunbar got a late winner. The subsequent change of manager at Jeanfield which resulted in the Luncarty manager going to Jeanfield and then the Kinnoull manager going to Luncarty made the start of the season hard and was far from ideal.
Short term the EOS First division is the right place for Kinnoull, with a great season they could repeat 22/23 but most seasons they should win more than they lose at that level, even with more of the late entrant West Lothian clubs progress up the EOS.
Good post
Saw Preston beat Kinnoull last week in the League Cup, the home side winning 4-2 after extra time. Thought Preston were the better team, even in 9 mins, but not much in it.
Top of League1 has been very competitive in past 2 season, but Kinnoull will be very much in the mix should they go down.

A win for Luncarty would all but confirm Kinnoull’s relegation as well due to there poor goal difference. Along with it being a local Derby it could be very spicy .
Got to think that even a win for Kinnoull, they will still go down. Fair play to them if they manage to win their last 5 matches, but even then, one win in 5 for both Luncarty & Glenrothes (never mind Hillfoot and Crossgates) would see Kinnoull down anyway. Good luck to them all

On a less ramble of a post; this feed is on page 99, having only started up in June 23. Compare to Linlithgow which has 39 pages of posts. (Comparing as these two pages have always had more posts than other 'EoS' teams
When pie and Bovril seems to be on a continuous slow death rate, great to see fans of a club willing to share their thoughts so much. D Dave obviously contributes a lot with match updates - also great to see

Where to even begin??
What a great season. From where we were last May, the job Stuart and Michael have done putting that squad together and achieving what they have done is fantastic
Ignoring Hearts B because they shouldn’t even be in the league, finishing in second place behind Chequebook FC and ahead of a couple of other bankrolled teams on a tiny percentage of their budgets is outstanding work.
Let’s kick on from here. Thank you Hunts and Gemmell. Mon the BU!
Edit - Have to finish with one minor gripe; It’s rubbish the season ending in mid April! Football should run until the end of May!
Who do you think are the other bankrolled teams in the league?
I'm not so sure that a bankrolled team automatically wins the league. Yes, EK spent more (certainly brought in loads of players), but players have to gel to make a team and sometimes egos will get in the way so no guarantee on the playing/winning front.
In saying that, I found it funny; comments made by some of the Tranent fans on their supporters Facebook page. Nose was certainly out of joint with EK. But, only a few weeks ago, some were saying that if they beat EK away, then they were back in the running for the league. Today, Tranent sit 24 pts behind - bit of a capitulation.
I've transgressed somewhat, but in the past few years, Tranent has also spent a fair bit on their squads / management teams, bringing in loads of players / shipping out at nearly same rate. However, it took a few years before they were promoted to the Lowand League - coming back to thought that large investment in funds doesn't guarantee league success.

Thornton vs St Andrews
Jeanfield vs Dunbar
Jeanfield will inevitably 'Hibs' the final 5-1 and tournament organisers will (in 90's F1 style when an outsider from am obscure country wins a GP) be rushing around trying to find a version of the St Andrews national anthem to play
Used to think your posts were a good read

Hill of Beath is a good shout, given their recent results
All subjective, but I can hope!!

Hi @The Faceman
I know you've went with a different approach recently with sending the data to the social media of the leagues. It looks like the Lowland League isn't publishing them.
A new month often sees an update, would it be possible to add them here?
On behalf of The Faceman, Lowland League Attendances, at 1 April 2024, now attached.
For any Bo'ness United 'posters' who see this, would be great if you/the Club can see if the missing 9 attendance figures can be provided.
Thank you.

Wonder why the 4th round and semi final draws were to take place but not the quarter final draw? So strange!

Tuesday 23 April 24 is the selected date for the 3rd round League cup tie between Haddington and Dunbar, taking place at Millfield. Dunbar has won both league matches, this season; (2-1 home) and (1-0 away).
In the first match, Haddington should have been out of sight after the first 45 minutes,, but hardly won a ball in the 2nd half. The 2nd was a close affair, only split by a 1st half penalty for the away side. Both teams will be confident of progressing, so an eagerly anticipated match in prospect.

only Wednesday but already looking grim for the weekends fixtures due to be played on grass. Not just in the Premier but across all the leagues.
Near enough guarantee that practically all the EoS grass pitches in Fife will be off. It’s rained less in previous weeks for this to be the case. Can’t quite remember such a sustained level of rain these past few weeks, in many a year.

Taunts of "kill the kilby" from the home "ultras", among other things, were to be heard on saturday, not nice to hear from the younger element! Things are getting well out of hand now, and it is not just an East lothian problem! Such a shame!
Can’t agree with you more

It's definitely not just a Tranent issue but what happend to cause the statements.
"Ultras" at this level can be an excuse for wee fannies to act like wee fannies.
If you use Facebook, check Tranent F.C. Supporters Page where details are included in the comments underneath the statement shown earlier on this page.

What happened that Tranent are apologising??
I like you as a poster, same with D Dave. But, this is not just a Tranent issue, albeit it appears this has gone a step to far! Linlithgow has already restricted their own 'ultras' as the wee knows are already causing trouble in the town centre. If clubs at this level, including East of Scotland clubs don't control their 'young teams' better, then this scene may get out of control. I know not all clubs are affected by this kind of issue, but taunting by a few 'young teams' appears to be getting out of hand.

Helps when you are the ‘big team’ in East Lothian though
I honestly feel sorry for local journalists, it’s a thankless job and the market has completely imploded on them with these websites that just sweep up and plagiarise their work while creaming in ad money
Big club status in East Lothian changes on a regular basis. At moment, my team isn’t the biggest, perhaps just be the best.
I can see where the original poster is coming from and what is said is certainly mirrored, in most, to the Edinburgh Evening News. But my point regarding the coverage of football related issues in East Lothian stands.
Also, as far as I am aware, (ALLEGEDLY - in case I am wrong) coverage of the 6 teams mentioned is not even dealt with by a full time journalism; but rather someone who is totally into football at this level.

I take your last point, but there were postponements in East of Scotland leagues to, but all teams (I think) have had more than 1 league match to date, since 6 April.
