Many judged him in isolation, given our stature in League One, but it was the first time we improved on the year before in 5 seasons. The first job was always going to be to create a semblance of stability, but that doesn't go down well with some fans.

Need to be fair here, today is looking class. Smooth and crisp.

Today was a good starting point in terms of pure picture quality and the highlights v Arbroath looked good as well, but we saw the predicted framerate issues immediately. That cannot be the standard and I would always pick a lower quality and smoothness over the product today. Football (and most ball sports) isjust really rough when the ball and every player jitter constantly. We'll see how they come along with that, since the rest like commentary and picture was quite positive.

The platform being the website and the capability to stream? "Hosting" perhaps? The website doesn't look up to date. If we're doing the filming and set-up, surely there'd be ample services just for the part of uploading it once it's ran through any broadcasting software? What are we paying for? User admin?

There hasn‘t been a manager since Houston with a discernible playstyle and there hasn‘t been a manager with a better points average in decades. Thought that worked for what I wrote originally as well, but this is what I meant.

And the last sentence should show that saying none of our sayings are arguably better than what we had is pointless before they‘ve kicked a ball for us. Half the dross I couldn‘t believe were professionals in our League 1 spell has gone on to play higher up. Stability and some sort of existing team spirit and professional environment helps.

Houston was the last one to have a discernible play style, not a better points average. McGlynn beats everyone this century, as he should in League 1. And doing that coming out of the complete clown show of previous gaffers comfortably earns him another go for me. Anything but changing it all up again, which has brought us to where we are.

1) And? Hartley, McKinnon drastically worse in the higher league. Everyone since worse in the same league. 2) Just going to head right out again, this is pointless. We couldn‘t even make it out of our own half against teams the year before. We were hopeless, no passing, no movement, no chances. Getting worse constantly. Last year was our first uptick in years and people want to change again. No sense for group dynamics, team bonding, learning a style together. Just stick 15 blokes and an experienced hard hat gaffer and we‘ll piss it. We have a big crowd after all.

And I bet you were giving equally fair reviews to our players in recent years. No way are people just listening to their mates over pints and coming out with strong opinions rather than giving those folk a couple of games.

Comfortably the best points average and most discernible play style since Peter Houston, coming off the back of 5/6 years of utter squad turmoil and worsening each year. Yes we were poor at the end, but we were comfortably better than the year before. We‘ll see if it turns out well this year, but wanting to change manager and a large chunk of the squad again after the last couple of years is nothing short of insanity in my opinion.

Watched the game on Falkirk TV, red may be borderline but I don't see a chance in hell it gets rescinded. Too late, too hard, too late, none of the ball. Don't know how much contact there was for their red, but that seemed an outstretched leg which caught Henderson's kicking leg. Apart from that a great performance, really on the front foot, lot's of people getting forward and we kept going even after the chaos in the second half. More than happy with that!

I've been more passive in the past, but whoever starts slating players and manager again after this is nothing short of f**king eejit. We've had hypothetically good players and managers and everyone that touched this club in recent years turned to shite. We are/were rotten at the core. The only way forward is stability, do NOT dare start another full-squad turnover in January/June.

It's purely the McGlynn factor then, because the players in recent seasons haven't lacked resumes.

So who do we blame then? For me it's the turnover and complete shift in approach every summer. We don't have a recruitment or tactical system in place and keep bringing in managers to do whatever they want, rather than following a plan we have set out. It would make more sense to me to keep some of the underperforming players and building from there, rather than starting from 0 every single transfer window. Add in the frail board structure in recent years and pair it with a lack of home support due to Covid and I don't think players are grasping what is expected of them. Even guys like Si Ferry and Tam Scobbie comment on their bewilderment about us underperforming with the players we have, whereas we keep saying all the players are useless. I agree on that, but have long accepted there must be more at play.

Quick summary from me then: Rennie, Sheerin, M&M, McKinnon, Hartley - all useless managers Robson, Longridge, Balatoni, Loy, Mitchell, Harris, Tumilty, McGhee, Harrison, Froxylias, Petravicius, Paton, Dallison, Brough, Sammut, Tidser, Miller, Leitch, Buchanan, Connolly, Toshney, Telfer, Durnan, Gomis, McManus, Dowds, Mercer, Alston, Francis, Keena, Morrison, McCann, McGuffie, Wilson, McKay, Hetherington, Nesbitt, Williamson, Weeks, Lemon, McDaid, Ompreom - all useless players So we still have lots of people that were useful (1) before they joined us and many useful (2) after they left again, they're just useless at our club. And still we we continue blaming individual board members, specific managers etc? Ok, carry on.. In terms of setting up a structure your scenario would mean we re-start from close to 0 as soon as the manager leaves. The DOF should be tasked with preventing the complete 180 we have performed from manager to manager, changing out entire squads at a time. Someone implementing a long term philosophy and at least forcing a manager to sign players within that framework could do us a world of good.

I‘ll say it again. When multiple managers and a horde of players all come into the club and look bad, it might be the structure thats at fault. I‘d give any plan a two year window right now, because continually changing everything is guaranteeing failure.

I should just ignore it, but the way you state these opinions as fact really gets under my skin. There's nothing wrong with people hoping for the best with a young player, whether you find it delusional or not. There's a system out there that can make McKay a Championship defender, Keena a double digit scorer and Hetherington a good holding midfielder. All at the same time? Probably not, but I certainly hope none of our staff take your approach to player development.
