Didn’t realise that, thought he was all west/central based.  Student part of the city (well, isn’t most the city these days) so probably does well.

Also on just past South Bridge passed it on the bus going to the Uni game last season.

I’ve seen a lot of comments about his business, and the overall consensus seems to be that it not bad grub at all, need to try it some time.

There's one at the bottom of Dunfermline never been though. I will have to go sometime for research purposes.

Was having a good blether with a customer today at work about fitba. He then tells me he used to play for Cowdenbeath. Hugh Douglas is his name.

Good guy met him last season when we played Tranent, he played for Berwick as well.

Nothing to be disappointed about players should hold their head up high, we held a full time championship side for 80mins, interesting to see us try play from the back all game thought it worked out well until the ball went to jack tait, the only weak player in the side for me unfortunately, plenty of average opportunities but the work rate was brilliant, was never going to be easy when they bring on a player who just played in the world cup and a prolific goalscorer in the Scottish game in Mckay. A great day out lovely views on the drive up and in the ground, rotten home support in numbers and atmosphere. Thanks again to all who traveled on the junction bus.

I thought the crowd was better than it was going to be. Not much of an attraction for Caley fans playing an LL side not on the season ticket same thing has happened to us in the South Challenge Cup with a few season ticket holders not going.

Sadly I thing Dougie's body is telling him enough is enough. Was delighted to have him back but to be brutally honest, was part of a defence that leaked loads of goals from crosses and couldn't keep himself fit.

Wish him well and always will be remembered as a brilliant servent for us.

    Sadly age has caught up.

Might need the blanket tomorrow to keep warm. Are we getting the full range? Beach towel next.

My first visit was in December 96, baltic with a frozen  pitch. We were the them end behind the goal uncovered terrace the lassie in the shop took pity on us and gave us a box of pies in the 2nd half when they shut the shop.

    Evening folks

trying to source a cowdenbeath fc programme from the year 1938 doesn’t matter what game just any game from 1938 (my grandads birth year) I know this will be slim to none but you never know

    cheers

Only away issues back them few and far between.

Looks like about 800 or so tickets sold so far.

Anything can happen in these type of games, but I would say that we need to have a fully fit squad and everyone playing at their best and Inverness having an off day for us to have any chance.

I fear we might be on the end of a drubbing.

    Will Mac2 be playing?

Mac2 is eligible was he was suspended when we played Lithgae.

Your really pushing the boat out with the matchwinner gear, good stuff. Must be the best club shop in the LL.

Extremely tough draw for us. Hopefully we can put in a good performance. Even if we do I think it’s a tall order to get into the next round.

Its a poor draw really, long journey with high costs against a championship side, imagine crowd will be poor at 700-800 so not even the windfall of a decent gate. The magic of the cup right enough.

Absolutely brilliant article in the latest programme in response to a question about where all of last season’s players are, a very full summary.

A few that stand out for me, Sam Newman and Aiden Gilmartin mainly benchwarming at Spartans and East Kilbride, such a waste.

Sean Slaven starring for Ashfield alongside is a total stunner, do they not play offside in that league? 😉

As an update David Struthers has also joined Irvine Meadow

Good luck with your application. Since you seem to know everything about football and running a club im sure you will be shoe in for the job

Raith Rovers also started a similar scheme, fancy City coming up with a scheme to bring money in. Citydiehard really has a grind about the club.

And not a single one of them sober. I'm sure I saw their supporters bus left at 10am so they would have been in Cowdenbeath for about 11am.

Give them their due they were waiting to get into the ground to go to our bar before the gates open so we must have made a few quid. Spoke to a few of them all decent folk.

Kilwinning would like another pop at us I’m sure for not showing the respect that a middling second tier West of Scotland team clearly felt they were entitled to. 😬😭

They gave Rovers a skuding today!
