Any rumours flying about on who we might sign? I wouldn't imagine there would be at this stage but you never know.

Very good player. Strong, energetic and powerful in midfield. I wouldn't say he is a defensive midfielder, more of a box to box type of player.

Great business to have the core squad all signed up again for next season. Hopefully retaining the majority of the squad will give us an advantage over other teams. With 18 signed up we will need to replace the four loannes. Our defence is undoubtedly our strongest area so I think we will need to two midfielders, a winger to replace Lyons and although we have Hawke, McLean, CJ and Campbell I feel we still need to try and find another goalscorer.

Ah just a wind up. I do commend you lot for holding on to your best players. There are a few i would take at the Mo. Thank you for your wishes. You should be happy. Of course we are still delighted with where we are and long may it continue. Progression like this won't last forever haha

Montrose POTY - Whilst there are many contenders for Montrose POTY I think it has to go to Blair Lyons. He came from Stirling Uni in the summer and has lit up League 1. He has been absolutely fantastic for the Mo and you could tell from very early on that he would go on to bigger and better things so no suprise that Thistle paid money for him. Have to mention Graham Webster who has undoubtedly had his best season in a Mo shirt. Clearly found his best position right of a front three and this is evidenced with his impressive goal and assist tally. YPOTY - tough one as our young loanees has all done very well. Aidan Quinn who came from Heriot Watt Uni looks a right good player. He has only had a few appearances but he clearly has a bright future ahead of him. My YPOTY however will go to St.J loanee Cammy Ballantyne who at 19 has been fantastic in our midfield three. Very good passer of the ball and a composed player who should do well at a higher level.

Get in there. What a fantastic win. Big Rusty deserves his goal. Last couple of performances have been great.

Comfortable win for the Mo yesterday. Created lots of chances and should really have scored more. Lyons and Webster on the flanks were outstanding yet again. MOTM for me was young Ballantyne in the midfield - he is very composed on the ball and has a mature calming influence on the game. We are in a really healthy position in the league. Tough couple of weeks coming up but we have to look at getting at least 7 points from a possible 12.

We have just signed Lewis Hawke lads. Looks like he did really well for you guys last season. Reckon he can do a good job in league 1 again?

That's it confirmed that Blair Lyons has signed for Partick Thistle on a two and a half year deal. Fantastic move for him. To think that he was playing in the lowland league last season is remarkable. He stays at Montrose loan until the end of the season which is great bit of business, i can imagine Partick would have wanted him now considering the trouble they are in. Also sounds like a significant fee has been agreed which again is brilliant for the club.

Some player on your hands. Delighted for him.
