As much as I like him I do struggle to see Edwards' appeal to higher level clubs sometimes - as above his crossing is so infuriating, he seems to have a least one cross a game that lands in the Cowden End/the NMc. That being said I seem to remember him showing up quite well in stats posted here not too long ago. I would absolutely take 100k and a decent sell-on, especially from a non-Scottish club.

That lies with McPake today. Last week I blamed the players, but (despite being a bit pish) they were hung out to dry by McPake's set up today. No big chances created all game, at home, to a team in ninth. At HT it should have been obvious that we were going to do absolutely nothing with that set up. And yet we get three like-for-like subs with no change to the system? I just really do not get it. Win next week or gtf for me. Inexcusable management today.

Hello fellas, bit random, looking for recommendations for any pubs/bars in Ayr/surrounding areas that will be showing the Scotland game on Thursday night that will be alright for kids coming along?

Brutal. A penalty in the first half may have changed the picture but the reality is that this defence (as it is) isn't really good enough for this league. Thought second half was a bit of a throwback to season 21/22 tbh, confidence totally shot and reflected in our inability to create any sort of chance. Fair enough to Thistle though, certainly wouldn't have taken much to beat us but got the job done. Certainly think we need to taper our expectations for the rest of the season, at least until Bene/Breen are back. Defence doesn't look the same without them.

Think by the laws of the game its a yellow. But as others have said, in my opinion those sort of tackles where there's no attempt to play the ball and there's some sort of lunge should probably warrant a more severe punishment than your usual 'take one for the team' pull backs etc. An orange card perhaps. I know it doesn't work like this, but anywhere else on the pitch that tackle is a yellow, counter attack or not. The fact McCann is breaking away should be considered an aggravating factor, as it is its own yellow offence. Really could've gone either way but no point wetting ourselves over it now I suppose. P.S. echo what others have said re Tod Jr. Need to get him tied up because I can certainly imagine there'll be interest if he performs like that in the league.

Just watched this on the iPlayer. The second episode in particular is immense, I'd be surprised if there's any dry eyes watching that. Superb portrayal of male friendships and against an 80s Scottish backdrop. Would recommend.
