Not at Beith today so not in a position to comment on things that happened. However, Clydebank are the original conundrum wrapped up in an enigma
In all the times I’ve been at Holm Park and all the times I’ve been at games v Bankies at Cumnock , I have seen / met some of the nicest folk but I have also had to listen to the big number of those who followvBankies who like to tell everybody how the Bankies are actually just marking time and helping out in the juniors ,and now WOSFL ,to help bring a bit of professional class to the grade as they are a senior team stuck in the wrong grade
It does become a bit tiresome after a while and is in total contrast with the really top folk I have met4 -
Cumnock, obviously! Nocknosh holds the 'Managed a draw' cup with greater pride and esteem than any league title! Co*k blocking Talbot is the pinicle of the last decade according to them...
And along comes the incomer “ who always wanted to film for Talbot “

While I don’t even know / care what Blackie G and others are talking about in respect of a game that did/didn’t take place , the general tone towards Blackie and his team for not taking part in the league and the assertion that they are “looking after themselves” is a bit unfair
Talbot decided that the welfare of their players, staff and fans (to a lesser extent at the moment) was of paramount importance is to be applauded and not scorned.
As a Cumnock fan I totally agree with their decision and also my clubs decision to do similarly

I think that Dover Athletic are playing St. Cadocs in the “bubble” at Toryglen with armed guards on every door (or emergency exit)
All players and staff will be allowed to enter in groups of six only
No laughing , shouting or heavy breathing will he allowed
All the players etc from both sides will require to play the game in a hazmat suit, with individual air tanks.
However, no prior notification of this game will be published to ensure that no fans etc will have a clue what’s happening1 -
Cheers Billy B , that has cleared up the “who plays where” part of this but only , really, makes you shake your head in more wonderment as to how two “professional “ teams (cue smart remarks from my friends in Talbot land [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]) are treated differently to two others in relatively similar positions distance wise from each other
It also doesn’t look as if it is an isolated incident either if the other posts highlighting other games that didn’t go ahead are correct1 -

Fair enough,but, you did say originally that it WAS different rules , not maybe different rules
If there are different rules , can you explain what the difference is as I was under the impression that the clubs in all levels in the “pyramid” are “professional” clubs so I find it weird that the rules are different from the Scottish League Two (not actually La Liga) to Tier 6/7 clubs .

one is a boys club,the other one is no,yes they both play in stranraer but under different rules,[emoji6]
Not wanting to be sounding like many other on here with snidey remarks to points brought up by other posters.
However , your comment regarding the boys club being governed by different rules is a bit weird.
Cumnock and Bonnyton are both WOSFL clubs and one can play a boys club but the other cannot play a team from the same place as the boys club

As I said in my post , IMO. It is my opinion only and others may not agree , but, it would appear that a few others felt the comment was a bit childish and I don’t think they were all from Cumnock , although happy to be proved wrong .

Cumnock Juniors social club is a major part of local and club life .
It is used by a lot of local groups etc for meetings and has been used recently to help provide food parcels and other items for vulnerable folk during the pandemic.4 -

For a few weeks I have opened up the WOSFL tab on here and saw that the Darvel FC 20/21 tab always seems to be near the top , therefore being regularly contributed to, but, I have kept away from it as I remember the old days if Darvel Legend etc and the inane drivel that haunted the Darvel thread before and I deliberately stayed away from this subject as I felt Not my Club , Not my Problem
However, I decided to have a look at what all the fuss is about and really ..... nothing has really changed since the old junior page with Darvel Legend talking about how they have put in an offer for Lionel Messi as his contract is coming to and end at Barca ( might get him paying you to come to Darvel the way Barca are playing just now ) , along with all the petty jealousy tinged posts from folk who feel , with some justification I may add, that Darvel are being the Billy big baws if our game , when nothing of substance has really been achieved
Have things changed since we are now in the world if the WOSFL pages ......... eeh Naw !!!!!
It’s still full of people from the valley with delusions of grandeur which, as yet , are not backed up by fact and on the other side of the coin, we have those who cannot stomach that there may possibly someone/ some team , who may actually be on the verge of doing something good
My issue is , every time I start to try and step on the Darvel juggernaut and get inside with their plans for world domination , someone with the old Darvel legend- itis comes on here and totally makes me sick
So has anything really changed ...... not really as the WOSFL tab on here for Darvel is just a re- badged Version if the Junior page ....... yawn0 -

I always find that he is pretty well mannered on here and doesn’t have cheap shots at other posters and/ or players , but, always stands his corner regarding his club
It seems that dedication and total commitment to his club are seen as a fault by Gavy and the continual attacks regarding Glencairn are a bit tiresome

Peter is never going to take the bait as he loves his club and genuinely doesn’t see any merit in having a go at ex- players

Calm down , calm down - a defeat after a long run of victories isn’t the end of the world - half of this victories would be enough for a lot of other teams
However, it is funny to see the “diehards” or as I call them , the “real fans” having a pop at Killiepyo for his “only team I have ever supported “ views , when a lot of the same ‘diehards’ leapt to his defence previously when myself , and a few others , have questioned his allegiance
I don’t think sleepless nights should be something to bother many of my auld pals in Talbotia after a solitary narrow defeat
