  1. A wee word of caution to GG and Hertha - dont try and have a reasoned argument with Griffiti on the Wall , particularly where sectarian comments / bigotry is concerned as you will find he is always right and will paint people with the bigotry / sectarian thing even when he has no proof - been there and had the treatment from him when he stated he had evidence of bigotry against a St’s player in a game at Cumnock , but, even though he couldn’t or wouldn’t produce his “evidence” , he continued to accuse me of saying stuff that was not true A loathsome individual
  2. I don’t know anything about any bigoted comments or anything similar, but, I saw him referee a few Cumnock games and he wasn’t shy about talking back to the players and he is really in a no win position there One game in particular against Petershill when a Peasy player dived like a block of flats going down and he told him to get up or I’ll book you if you try that s***e again However, I think that your liking for him is probably more to do with his family connection to one if your Beith players of the recent times !!!!!!?????? This became obvious a couple of seasons ago when Cumnock played at Beith and he sent off Scott Anson for fouling a Beith player after a Cumnock move broke down at the top goal and the ball was passed out to a Beith player, who was nudged over by Big Scott , obviously to slow the play down and Brown sent him off for what was nothing more than a booking as the Beith player was around 80yards away from our goal . That was bad enough but he proceeded to sent off another Cumnock player who turned away from a soft free kick and muttered as he walked away and Brown sent him off for foul language, even though literally 30 seconds before a Beith player went right up to him and told him that an incident that just happened was a “f***ing foul”. Not even a talking to The original homer !!!!
  3. Apologies to Blackie Gold for quoting your post rather than the original posters post
  4. If they have been offered money for him or his contract is up , why not to Cumnock. OR is it that you think Lochar Thistle or the league they are in is a step up from the Junior top league ??
  5. Why “ No Chance” ...... ??????
  6. A few people on here saying that Mark Shankland should NOT have tweeted what he did and that he caused this Possibly a fair point However, I think he was commenting on what he saw as an amateurish situation by delivering the stuff in a carrier bag and let’s face it with all the stuff on here recently about cups/ medals and all the “wrong cup” , “ late medals” stuff, the boy was probably saying it as he saw it, we will give him the “innocence of youth “ defence Can Mr Robertson day the same thing in respect of his comments - I don’t think so If the boot had been on the other foot and a player or official said that Robertson would “be dealt with”, the sound of shit hitting fans would have been deafening Mr Robertson is neither use nor ornament and time he was put out to grass
  7. Think you may be right mate, probably someone else ( wonder who that might be !!!!!) who on an annual basis tells us about how big spending Darvel are going to buy all the big names in football and totally dominate the junior game. I think all the teams in the divisions above Darvel should be able to get free counselling from the SJFA to cope with all this worry and stress this impending doom of Darvel going to take over the world is causing It is terrible it is PTSD , but in this case it is Pre Traumatic Stress Disorder as it hasn’t happened yet although this is now several seasons the top division clubs have had this worry and, to be fair , many have dismissed the threat as it continually doesn’t happen Always next year eh !!!!
  8. CAUTION - TALBOT SUPPORTER : uses recycled post from last season and the season before and the season before and the season bef............ yawn
  9. I hadn’t read the Friday Night fitba post before posting on this thread I have to agree that Gemmell, good player that he is, can only be described as a bully and a clown He tried to scare one of our young boys when we played them a few weeks ago after he scored the only goal with a dreamer from about 25/30!yards I have seen him with a few clubs over last few seasons and he is a fud, a very talented one, but a fud nonetheless
  10. That might be right old pal, but, big Gemmell’s pie bill could easily have been more than the £750. To be fair, they do have a couple of pretty good players at Troon and that along with the ability of Stevenson and Gemmell should have been enough to keep them In the league ,and it was ,in the end
  11. ALERT - ALERT - fellow p&b posters, please help us find Glenconner , not been seen/heard since 18/04 since tipping Cumnock for the drop I do hope he is ok as I miss his insightful points on here
  12. It is a thing that happens to us people with the distinguished hair colouring mate My silver highlights are slightly more intense than they once were!!!!
  13. At least he didn’t jump the barrier and hide behind the dug out like he did when Cumnock played the Buffs at Lugar after he shouted abuse at the ref It was as much comical as it was “sleakit” the way he roared at the ref and then pulled his woolie bunnet over his eyes and jumped into the crowd and hid behind the dugout to stop the ref locating him His desire to win is admirable, but, he is a fud all the same
  14. That idiot was the referee when we played Beith last season ( maybe even end of season before) when Brown sent off our number nine , Scott Anson for a deliberate block on the Beith centre forward . You light think what’s the problem with that - Scott Anson had been back helping defend at a corner kick and blocked the breaking Beith forward approx 25 yards from his own goal line . Straight red card, obviously stopping a goal scoring opportunity It transpires that said Mr Brown is related to the Beith legend Kenny McLean, who , surprise surprise was playing for Beith The mans a Complete fud
  15. I think your “chased the money” comment shows a lack of knowledge of why the new set up was necessary . Like most junior clubs, Cumnock find it difficult to survive financially and to ensure we didn’t end up as a statistic in football history books only, the “Community Enterprise “ came about to benefit the “ Community” , while it allows our club to survive which may not have been the case by now if things had continued under the old situation Ask yourself a question, if it was a straight choice between ensuring your team continues to be part of the current Junior set up with a Community facility , dreaded plastic and all, OR possibly cease to exist, which would you chose????
  16. I met the "shyster" when Bellshill played at Cumnock and he struck me as someone who thought the sun shone out of his own arse. He didn't seem to have a nice way about him that day and when it all blew up , I felt sorry for the guys like Paul Fox and the other guys who were dyed in the wool Bellshill boys
