  1. Posters on here getting defensive, we are top of the league (Falkirk voyeurs, you reading this). To stay there we need to strengthen now in centre mid and right mid is it not 17 players with Hutts more or less a coach these days at the moment for a professional football club that is an extremely light squad at this stage of the season...
  2. I do think the majority think Rhys etc are playing with fire signing wise.... We have just announced a new starting left back ATS, we still have a number of gaps to fill... Would you agree.....
  3. Is this the player that kept Leon McCann out the Falkirk side last season..
  4. So there is a sign ing plan in place, you would never know, not convinced at all, we have started well top of the league etc, things change quickly in Football and if teams are unable to adapt they get left behind, apart from a few Lemmings on here, I think the majority think that McCabe and Fordyce are playing with fire.....I You would think the management team would like to sign an experienced defender who has played Premier League, down south and at Championship level, we have had one training and on the bench as a trialist the last 2 games, surely this is a move that is a no brainer or are we waiting for an unknown quality 19 year old to become available instead .....
  5. A striker who doesn't score goals basically.... not what we need at all IMO
  6. The recruitment continues to be the elephant in the room, ATS the trialist, again I would get him signed up pronto, very experienced player and he knows this league, Rhys will probably go down the loaner route, Problem with that is when you sign a loanee, the parent club wants the lad to get game time, to see how they play in a competitive environment, which is absolutely fine, Yesterday we had McMaster and Wylie on the bench, barring injury or a cameo sub appearance can we see these lads playing much, which brings on a January issue when parent clubs have a recall option,
  7. The McG lynn factor he will drag Falkirk kicking and screaming to the playoffs, it won't be pretty though...
  8. Umbro have made some crackers in recent years, much better than Joma who must be the blandest kit designers around.
  9. I thought it was poor man management by McCabe, alright LJ wasnt getting much change out of Edwards, although is that his best position. ?? But to sub the lad at a Dunfermline corner a minute before half time was bizarre, Rhys clearly has high standards, which is great, Ridiculing player's like that too much and you could lose the dressing room.... Enjoyed visiting East End Park for the first time in many a year, good venue with still a bit of the old park still prevalent, am I right in saying that the away support used to frequent the enclosure behind the opposite goal and half of the enclosure now stand across from the old main stand..
  10. Remember these games were massive in he late80s early 90s a,real rivalry both sides basically scrapping it out every season ..... expecting a 4000 crowd.... Where is the best place to park near the ground.
  11. Totally agree visiting EEP you would always want to play there with a fully loaded squad , The time to strengthen is always when things are going well, not wait until the tide turns...... Looking forward to the game, big crowd expected
  12. What stand will the Airdrie support be in would imagine we will bring around the 350 mark as already stated..
  13. He was the same in his limited appearances in league 1, constantly needing told What to do, stand at set pieces, raw as they come...Played CH and he was a different player
  14. Has the Craig Bryson signing turned out as most teams feared, his legs are completely gone.... Scott Walker is a very limited full back, but a surprisingly effective centre back,
  15. For a League 1 football team, The football played was exceptional at times, Justin D was great and is really growing week by week, Euan D is full of energy but lacks composure and worryingly lost the ball with lack of composure a few times today, which is a problem... Awkward team Alloa, good well earned 3 points if we could just get those 3 players or so in, when we are going well, our season could really fire on..... ATS would be a decent signing IMO...
  16. Question for you good luvvies out there, Aaron Taylor Sinclair was a non playing trialist for Airdrie today, I know he played a few seasons back with Thistle, what kind of defender is he, we need cover at CH and LB don't know if he would fit the bill.. Thanks in advance
  17. The name mentioned a couple of weeks back was Dylan Tait from Hibs on loan, this is the same player who was loaned out to Ki!marnock who won the Championship last season, can you see hi bs or indeed the player wanting to drop to League 1, I would be very surprised if he,did, which begs the question are we aiming too high in the players we are trying to sign......
  18. It's clear that Rhys is getting the benefit of the doubt over signings, but at some point he will have to sign let's be honest bench warmers, For whatever reason signings haven't been forthconing, We all thought the deadline would be the end of the pre season group tournament and be ready for the league, Now its cacceptable to ki c k the can down the road to the end of September, we have no play squad wise and results could downturn pretty quickly..... We all wanted QUALITY loanees have we got them.......Jury is still out ...
  19. Agree, he appears to be stubborn in what he wants, which is fine if you can deliver, a minimum of 2 sign ings have been mooted by Rhys, he seems to aim high on who he wants, we need competition and cover for positions, we rode our luck yesterday with our lack of bench, Hopefully something happens this week, Any more ITK talk,
  20. To me he was a neat and tidy defensive midfielder, had no interest in an attacking sense, no real pace, although he played during the covid season.... Murray didn't fancy him, he was clearly a Stuart Millar sign ing...
  21. Big Jimmy was doingv hospitality at the Falkirk game , saw him at full time when he was out for a fag, I suppose it's not as easy to smoke in the cbangingv room toilets these days , He was probably one of he last old school type , great front man and heart of a lion..
  22. Remember there are two sides involved in this tribunal, but only one side will be highlighted by the media..
  23. Where is the 1200 away fans coming from, The stand was segregated apparently for 1800 with the 2 end sections taped off, Falkirks sections were clearly less than half full I would say 850 max...
  24. Move on, no still a couple of days to e joy the victory sure!y....
