The only change that I could see happen, is McGill drops out(lad playing really well) move Smith to right wing and bring McCabe into midfield, we will definitely need him against Falkirk..

With Fordyce a shoe in , to come back into the team, who drops out, we don't want to change formation too much as for the first time in many years we look like a football tean.

I understand your frustration, if you hypothetically swapped our strikeforce for megginson and mcallister, would we have won the game, No..... the problem is creating chances away from home, we are very organised and h a rd to break down, personally I think our best centre forward is Callum Smith, would like to see him and salon given a run, but we need more depth of squad for this to happen. Would be disappointed if we do not add to the squad with Wardrop away, The drop off in quality from starting 11 to the bench although better than previous years is still pretty alarming.... Our starting 11 is as good anything in this league...

Slightly off topic, have we started doing matchday hospitality yet, with most restrictions now lifted, it always seemed a good 'earner' for the club.. Falkirk, QP and Clyde ( probably others) in our League are offering pre match hospitality....

There seems a lot of similarities to ourselves when Wotherspoon bought the club, Iain King chief execitive, started the Airdrie Academy, brought in various individuals to take up positions in the c!ubyou didn't what they did, just to protect the owner, funnily enough it all went pete tong... Onto the game I thought Airdrie were very good today, sharp passing, kept possession, we really demoralized East Fife today, if we played our usual 3 passes punt style of football the game would have suited our opponents.. With Airdrie having played QP feeling like fortnightly since the start of the season, I would say centre mid is your strongest position Liam Brown the stick out, who will Connell replace Gillespie who seems a class above this league also.... admittedly my knowledge of Connell is minimal, What is your clubs objective this season promotion or consolidate, the way the league is the quality of player is and has been getting higher in recent years , If you find yourself top of the league in January can you see yourselves adding to the quality again and " kick for home"...

Whatever happened and said, let's be blunt with the hassle it takes to book a seat to get into Firhill it is definitely an Airdrie fan,, As you say Rico seems a top guy and well liked and respected by his teamates. Hopefully with the help of PTFC the crowd control cctv will be carefully scrutinised and anything that flags up time wise will be investigated and relevant action taken.... That is all we can really say at this time,

Personally I don't see Murray going anytime soon, and to be fair he should their is no real reason to, 9th place after 5 games, No , it means nothing at this time, although we have to and will win football matches, We are also producing fairly consistent performances and apart from Montrose, we have been the better side in games .... Ian Murray will possibly go when and if it suits him, arguably he has taken us to our ceiling now as a club 500 crowds, total apathy in the town and amongst the support, covid has probably propelled it, forget about all the past glories 25 years ago, we are a top 4 league 1 club now and get used to it... Clubs in the championship like Ayr and Dunfermline will probably start to look downwards for managers with fresh ideas, Murray must be getting to the stage of being in the frame for jobs in league above, not due to being anything special, more just a steady hand at the tiller, could be interesting times ahead in the next year or so....

Rico like Frizzell got very poor reports from fans of there previous clubs, both players have done fine so far and look big players for ourselves, Rico gets compared to McCann all the time, was and is McCann that good, offensively he was poor, a decent defender though and got his move. Ric o proved today he can play in a disciplined role and previous games was seen in a more attacking sense, Good player...
