  1. Is Lewis Vaughn nearing fitness or is Easton his replacement
  2. How's Easton been doing, an abso lute class act in League 1, although the question mark remained could he cut it at an average championship side,,
  3. Am I correct in saying Telfer won all last season's Player of the Year awards....
  4. All the pre season clamour about quality loanees arguably our strongest 11 has no loanees in it......
  5. Teller is a good signing and will be a good player for us I am thinking Rhys might step back into the middle of aback 3, with Telfer his place in midfield..... Line up injuries permitting could be. Rae Watson. McCabe. Fordyce Ballantyne. Telfer. Wylie. Frizzell. J Devenney Gallagher. Smith That is a talented startng 11... with still possibility of 2 quality loanees to come in
  6. I sit around the home dug outs and there is no communication between Prunty, Hutton and either Rhys or Fordyce during the game, it is quite a bizarre situation, Prunty love him or loathe him is normally a hyper active cheerleader type on the sideline, this season Prunty looks pretty glum and fed up even when we have been winning..... the club promised Rhys a support structure (whatever that means) to help him I suppose in situations like this......
  7. Well what can be said about that, was it a surprise, Yes to an extent, the big question always was if teams are brave enough to play against us and not sit in, could they outplay us and boy they outplayed and outclassed us in every department... The selection as previously mentioned was unnecessary, Justin D moved to LWB and a so far unimpressive Wylie in midfield, Ballantyne was unlucky to be sent off IMO, although none of our players really protested it, Today really showed up our lack of options and tactical naivety and general stubbornness by Rhys McCabe, The bus should have been parked at 3 nil and if we are being honest we were lucky it was only 6.... In fairness Edinburgh have built a very capable side, Keiran McD, Fontaine, Craigan all would instantly improve our side, all players have played at higher levels and were available in the summer... While we are still harping on about quality loanees Can we say that about LJ and Wylie after today.. The mix up front hasn't been right the last couple of weeks either Gabby yet again clueless as a centre, Callum Smith still not sure where he is meant to be playing , if anybody knows can they let Callum know, LJ has pace and skill but is not good enough for the role McCabe wants him to play,, Gallagher yet again our best option up front starts on the bench is he on the bench due to being Part Time. ?? There has to a reason he doesn't start... Pretty sure Rhys is going to come out in his interview and state we had enough chances to get back in the game, which we had,, now rhys be brave give Kelt y a phone and see how much they want for Nathan Austin who is apparently on the way out if rumours are to be believed....
  8. That's great news, with Rae being unconvincing in his time between the sticks so far, Murray Johnson has proved age is no barrier and was outstanding..... according to reports Rae is still out so it looks like Alex Henderson's position to lose now, Good luck to the lad......
  9. How did Euan Deveney do at Falkirk, it looks like ATS and him will be fighting it out for the left back slot
  10. Time will indeed tell, we got ripped on both wings against Dunfermline both LJ and Gabby unable to cope with Edwards and on the other side Kyle McDonald schooled Euan D most of the game, system changes are part and parcel of football and personnel changes need to be made if you have them, you cannot and teams won't allow you to pass through them all season don't be naive, nothing wrong with playing 4 4 2, 4 5 1 if the situation arises and it gets you the win or a fighting draw... Is that not being realistic for a team that hopes to stay top of the league....
  11. Posters on here getting defensive, we are top of the league (Falkirk voyeurs, you reading this). To stay there we need to strengthen now in centre mid and right mid is it not 17 players with Hutts more or less a coach these days at the moment for a professional football club that is an extremely light squad at this stage of the season...
  12. I do think the majority think Rhys etc are playing with fire signing wise.... We have just announced a new starting left back ATS, we still have a number of gaps to fill... Would you agree.....
  13. Is this the player that kept Leon McCann out the Falkirk side last season..
  14. So there is a sign ing plan in place, you would never know, not convinced at all, we have started well top of the league etc, things change quickly in Football and if teams are unable to adapt they get left behind, apart from a few Lemmings on here, I think the majority think that McCabe and Fordyce are playing with fire.....I You would think the management team would like to sign an experienced defender who has played Premier League, down south and at Championship level, we have had one training and on the bench as a trialist the last 2 games, surely this is a move that is a no brainer or are we waiting for an unknown quality 19 year old to become available instead .....
  15. A striker who doesn't score goals basically.... not what we need at all IMO
  16. The recruitment continues to be the elephant in the room, ATS the trialist, again I would get him signed up pronto, very experienced player and he knows this league, Rhys will probably go down the loaner route, Problem with that is when you sign a loanee, the parent club wants the lad to get game time, to see how they play in a competitive environment, which is absolutely fine, Yesterday we had McMaster and Wylie on the bench, barring injury or a cameo sub appearance can we see these lads playing much, which brings on a January issue when parent clubs have a recall option,
  17. The McG lynn factor he will drag Falkirk kicking and screaming to the playoffs, it won't be pretty though...
  18. Umbro have made some crackers in recent years, much better than Joma who must be the blandest kit designers around.
  19. I thought it was poor man management by McCabe, alright LJ wasnt getting much change out of Edwards, although is that his best position. ?? But to sub the lad at a Dunfermline corner a minute before half time was bizarre, Rhys clearly has high standards, which is great, Ridiculing player's like that too much and you could lose the dressing room.... Enjoyed visiting East End Park for the first time in many a year, good venue with still a bit of the old park still prevalent, am I right in saying that the away support used to frequent the enclosure behind the opposite goal and half of the enclosure now stand across from the old main stand..
  20. Remember these games were massive in he late80s early 90s a,real rivalry both sides basically scrapping it out every season ..... expecting a 4000 crowd.... Where is the best place to park near the ground.
  21. Totally agree visiting EEP you would always want to play there with a fully loaded squad , The time to strengthen is always when things are going well, not wait until the tide turns...... Looking forward to the game, big crowd expected
  22. What stand will the Airdrie support be in would imagine we will bring around the 350 mark as already stated..
  23. He was the same in his limited appearances in league 1, constantly needing told What to do, stand at set pieces, raw as they come...Played CH and he was a different player
  24. Has the Craig Bryson signing turned out as most teams feared, his legs are completely gone.... Scott Walker is a very limited full back, but a surprisingly effective centre back,
