  1. That's the risk you take, January window will be busy I would imagine, whoever gets the gig,,, Its a bit of Russian roulette, the stakes are high, survival or oblivion.. your move
  2. Good chance Kennedy et all would keep you in the league, can Fowler....
  3. Good point which we.needed, if we were on decent form probably would be disappointed with only one point though, Raith are a pleasing team on the eye, always a good day out and.not long finished the fish tea in burntisland tbh.. How do you guys think Dylan Easton is doing on the championship, he had god like status the season we had him in League 1, seen him a few times and probably like Frizzell in our side , he seems to lack a yard, The step up to.the championship is much bigger than most realise.
  4. Listening to his interview he was bemoaning hitting Todorov earlier getting us up the pitch, which was working in the first half, he wanted more control like the second half, I know which is more effective and caused the opposition more trouble and it wasn't the second half controlled possession .
  5. Seem to remember an altercation between our then Fan of the year and a young rovers fan, which resulted in the old bill getting involved.. Let's just say we had better days...
  6. Good crowd on a cold Tuesday night, around the 900 mark, fantastic turn out and a decent side on the park to be fair, how did you guys find the stadium, parking catering etc
  7. Recruitment was and still is an Achilles heal for Rhys, all signings to me seem to be an agenda if either being signed up by Consilium when they sign or sign up when we sign them, is this a prerequisite requirement or just coincidence.... That's scary Todorov, Hancock and McStravick are the 3 players scouted as quality signings .. Let's be honest the majority of us, knew we were short, and I am led to believe the budget was not spent before the window closed .. all we can do is battle away, every point has to be fought for, Rhys is feeling the heat and has never reacted to criticism before....
  8. Pretty much agree, Rhys was telling his players in last season's playoffs, don't trust the media, don't comment just play your game and he commits the ultimate sin, and he will get reminded of it by all and sundry.. We need a result from somewhere, just to calm the waters, our squad is 21 which should be enough, but we lack serious options, our core which we can rely on last couple of seasons Frizzell and Gabby cannot cut it in the championship, and last night painfully showed it.. It looks like Rhys will have to lead from the front in Kirkcaldy, tough times, where would we rather be though.....
  9. Tonight was men against boys at times, we are so naive as a team, funnily enough defensively we were ok, apart from blowing our toes, Rae should have left the cross as it was going safe and McStravick with his slack backpass, don't know why he was in that position anyway. We played much better 1st half and a decent side would have had a couple of goals during that spell, Todorov was a welcome change up top, Aiken tried hard with Telfer in the middle, although Aiken could be out for a while with what looked like an Achilles issue.. Sadly Frizzell our captain, cannot play in the middle of the park, he is clearly 2 yards slow and was painful to watch, where does he play though, Gabby McGill out his depth also, we are down to the bones after this although young Dunlop got a couple of deliveries into the box late on... squad wise there is not much else O Connor, Hancock not much there is there and Gavin Gallagher seemingly still having his issues although he has found time to join Rhys's agency Consilium.. On the downside the abuse McCabe was getting was uncalled for, and hIs old man and family apparently watch the games from a box now due to abuse received at the Arbroath game.... If true surely we as a support are better than this ffs ....
  10. How many do you think you will bring to Airdrie on Tuesday night.
  11. Another narrow defeat with a big fat 0 in the goals column, wants at the game today so won't comment .. But I agreed with the changes to the team we were and are getting a little stale... Let's be honest Rhys came across an arrogant p***k after his we can win the league nonsense on BBC last week. (I have spoke to Rhys a few times and he is far from an arrogant p***k). Don't know if that was a BBC special and cut and paste job of an interview... That statement has done the players no favours, we have a number of players who are playing above their level McGill, O Connor, Mcmaster and Frizzell, Frizz could do with a system change in order to help him, Rhys trusts his players and his system, this is where he needs to rein things in, This passing from goal line to goal line is fine if you have athletic midfielders, we don't, and at home it looks worse with the size of the pitch, we can still pass the ball about the back it doesn't have to be 18 yards out, how about passing it about 30 yards out, this pushing our midfield up and getting closer to our isolated front man, Frizz might be able to play more balls through the lines on the other teams half , than having to carry and protect the ball 35 yards out from his own goal all the time, our chance creation and goalscoring is horrendous, we need to try something , or there will be more days like today, and the feel good factor and crowds will disappear like snow off a dyke.. The championship is a hard league, harder than you ever realise, I hope Rhys swallows his pride for the United game on Tuesday, could this side recover from a tanking, time will tell..
  12. Was there as a neutral tonight, well can you be a neutral when the opposition it Partick Thistle, Queens were excellent and looked a class above anything I have seen this season, Thomas on the left was very good and have Thistle trouble all game, All in a very good game of football..
  13. Can always understand the sentiment regarding Shawfield, in reality it was a shithole with horrendous viewing angles when you were in the narrow terracing steps, remember it once in the 80s, and all stadia facilities were poor then... But Shawfield took the biscuit....
  14. Would be surprised if the management team if Ian McCall and Neil Scally isn't eventually on the shortlist.
  15. Just watched the game back, was Rae totally to blame, he seemed to pass to McMaster who was slow to react and the rest was just a mess.... watch it back..
  16. Decent game in horrendous conditions, both teams tried to zip the ball about, over the 90 QP were the better side, passing and movement in midfield was very good and kept us quiet for long spells, I never really felt that both teams really went for it, don't know if that is down to style of play and being overcoached.. If you carried out a weird science type project you could maybe get a decent side between the two of them...
  17. The league doesn't lie and we have 13 points after the first quarter, I tend to look at recent results and performances and they have been a struggle to be honest,, I think Rhys knows we have players probably playing a level above themselves therefore if we have the ball you cannot score mantra until of course we gift the ball to the opposition. Tonight showed our main issue and flaws and that is the midfield and setup, Queens passed through our lines all night, that was there strength and played a much more drilled possession based passing game than we did.. Playing with a deep lying midfielder and 2 wingers on a big pitch, leaves a hell of a lot of ground to make up for your attacking mid and sole striker, it is easy to understand why chances and therefore goals are at a premium. The subs Telfer and Todorov especially were very good, Telfers speed of passing and mobility instantly improved our midfield and Todorov with his energy and the ability to win and compete for second balls, Gall is Gall, he scores goals and sometimes not a lot else, could we somehow shoehorn Todorov up top beside Gall and sacrifice McGregor, and introduce Telfer in front of Aiken, doubt it will happen Rhys seems determined to play with 2 wide players all the time.. We need to change it up, use the squad or we will be very lucky to get 13 points on the next quarter.
  18. Time for the champion elect to show their teeth, starting tonight against the jolly old Queens.. I would make a few changes tonight, remember we were pretty abject last time out against Ayr, Rae Megwa Watson Fordyce Hancock Aiken Telfer Frizzell McStravick Gallagher McGregor.. In my opinion McGill has offered nothing most of the season, our chance creation and execution is very poor and to that matter him with McStravick and I would replace McMaster with Telfer, No need for a defensive mid, when Fordyce, Rae et all play keep ball, it is a wasted position and we need a more positive player in the side for that reason..
  19. Can Queens Park if they so wish, say to our Willie, thanks pal but GTF.. Or is the club so reliant on his business acumen, that if he does go he will take the fillings out your teeth as part of the process .
  20. The Airdrie game will be very interesting or a complete borefest with McCabe and Veldman having a dick swinging contest to see who has the best football philosophy of passing the ball aimlessly around the back four..... Queens don't seem in great fettle (going by posts mainly on here) Airdrie have there own issues lowest scorers in League and lowest attempts on goal also, but we have lead the league on completed passes.... Bring on a 4 - 4 Friday night thriller...
  21. What's the honest opinion of Haughey is /has he been good for the club or short term relative success is going to lead to a survival battle when he gets fed up, as long as oor Willie makes money he seems to be happy..
  22. When we play the very slow passing about the back 4, totally nullifies the strengths of McMaster as he plays too close , Fordyce et al have to feed the ball much much quicker through the midfield, and he should probably have been subbed earlier, Telfer gave us a far better option when he came on.... Deano was poor last week against Morton as well, we have a decent 'sized" squad, I think Rhys has to change things up again,
