  1. Literally almost every deal is undisclosed these days, this is no surprise. The only surprising thing is the lack of understanding amongst our fans.
  2. Him being off form isn’t anything to do with the lack of goals and assists. His pass completion has been poor to say the least and I’m referring to simple passes. He clearly isn’t comfortable collecting the ball deeper which it looks like he’s being asked to do more this season. Let me make this clear, this is not a witch hunt. Overall I’m a big admirer of Tait but I feel peoples perception of this deal has been shadowed by recent events.
  3. Lets be honest, our MotM awards have been questionable to say the least.
  4. Its too early to say if either Arnott or Coulson could step in but thankfully we have until January to assess them. We also have the options of free agents or dipping into the loan market.
  5. Right now £100k could be better invested in the squad if the club choose to help us get the the premiership. Tait isn’t Hendry, he is replaceable. Tait as I said would struggle to be in our first 11 if everyone was fit. From what I’ve seen of Bowie since he’s left, he’s went from strength to strength.
  6. I get your point but doesn’t the club have a £1M debt over its name? Within the last 2 years we’ve generated an estimated £250k + future incentives. The clubs existence is priority. We don’t want to be like our neighbours, we pay our debts. Within this 2 years, we’ve progressed from league 1 to the championship. In regards to price, nobody seemed unhappy with the fee for Bowie who had a long list of scouts at every game from all over the UK. Tait attracted some interest but nowhere near as much and whilst I am a big fan of his, hasn’t been a shadow of himself this season. Whether thats due to interest, being asked to play deeper due to being without Hendry, nobody knows. If we had Matthews and Spencer fit, I doubt he’d have featured much based on form. In McGlynn we trust we all say. Lets show him some. Ultimately we have Tait until Jan, at which point (if not before) we’ll have a replacement lined up.
  7. Haven’t been on here in a couple of days and have just discovered the Tait news and i’ve got to be honest, I don’t think its a bad deal. We were happy with £150k for Bowie who was youngster, has more potential and went to a second tier English side. Tait on the other hand hasn’t looked half the player he was last season, isnt doing well adapting his game to drop deeper like Hendry. The timing could have been better but ultimately we still have him until Jan at which point we can find a replacement and have money in pocket with future incentives in place.
  8. I would imagine given his injury record that a clause would have been in place for such an incident as this.
  9. Im not saying its not true, but these things can start from one speculation and the next things it’s Chinese whispers and its spreads like wild fire. Despite the clubs errors, they’ve always communicated serious injuries well either via raith tv or the ffp. Until I hear from an official source I’m taking it as a rumour.
  10. Lets take Mr 2 posts as gospel… Whilst rumours about this are flying about, until it’s confirmed by McGlynn we shouldn’t be speculating.
  11. Here’s a thought… to prevent going 2 weekends without a game. Is it out the realms to arrange a open door friendly game free to all with donations optional. Donations would no doubt cover running costs, would make up for how last week was managed and a thank you to supporters and most importantly game time for the first team. Time might be against it but would be a good gesture from the club.
  12. Any reason why? This is the first fife derby with fan attendance since January 2019. Even giving our short falls with ticket sales, there was still more than enough time to purchase them. Surely it being on the BBC is putting people off.
  13. They’re all on the piss after celebrating getting into the quarter finals unlike your mob [emoji1303]
  14. Quick summary of todays (and recent) performances… MacDonald - Not much to say as had very little to do. 7/10 Tumilty - Excellent. Has an unreal engine, absolute shitehouse and a priority to get tied down to a longer deal. 8/10 Berra - Concerned about his age? Don’t be. Might not be captain but led by example. One of many MotM contenders. Won everything, drove the team on and pressed high constantly. 9/10 Bene - Back to his best in recent months and today was no different. Intercepted everything. 9/10 Dick - Solid. I was concerned about him signing but he’s happily proving me wrong. Stronger than KMacD defensively and pick and choses his moments to go forward. 8/10 BRS - Still has a lot to prove. We were never going to get a like-for-like Hendry and I feel better options were available even in league 1. He is however a bit of a unit, wins his fair share of headers but needs to distribute the ball far better and somehow become more mobile. 5/10 Matthews - To be honest I can’t really remember him doing much particularly good or bad today. None the less, one of the first names on the team sheet when fit and rightfully so. 6/10 Tait - Report card states “must do better”. I seen something in him from his debut and has grown since then. The loss of Hendry has hampered his game significantly. He suits being able to play more freely, going forward. However when dropping deep to collect the balls from the centre backs, looks very nervous and is often giving the ball away. 5/10 Connolly - Like the next name of the list, was somewhat disappointed when he signed. He has however really impressed me. He’s no afraid to get on the ball. Mostly picks the right pass and creates plenty of chances. 8/10 Zanatta - I really liked him when he had from Hearts, his career since then has flatlined and nothing screamed good enough. He is often frustrating and is the exact definition of a ‘confidence player’. When its not his day, he’ll over play, make wrong choices, over on under hit passes. Today however… Fantastic. Work rate unreal, and got the goal his performance deserved. 9/10 Varian - The lad gets a hard time. He’s a long way from the finished article but puts himself about and gives defenders a hard time, winning his fair share of knock ons. Hopefully his goal kicks him on. 7/10 Poplatnik - Struggled to understand him joining us but links up really well with bringing midfielders into play. Limited time today. 6/10 Arnott - Promising. Got about the midfield well. 6/10 Fotheringham - N/A. Absolutely delighted with todays result and nothing less than we deserved. Roll on the Pars.
  15. Premiersports are up already on youtube but pretty poor and clearly quickly chucked together.
  16. Yesterday was frustrating to say the least. It was great to see us create so many chances in the first half but annoying to see those opportunities squandered. I’ll admit I was in the camp that was disappointed with the Zanatta and Connolly signings. I was impressed with them both last tine but both had appeared to have declined since then. Only the latter has changed my mind. Zanatta has the ability to get himself in the right place so often, yet so rarely does anything after. I was one of those yesterday who was quite vocal when he made an error (and there was a lot) but it’s only because he either takes the extra touch and is tackled/blocked, hammers it across the goal or doesn’t put enough on it. Let me make it clear that I want anyone who puts on a rovers jersey to do well, he just infuriates me. The decision for him to get MOTM was ludicrous. Berra or Dick should have been in my opinion.
  17. Aye. To suggest he’s similar to Vaughan and Keatings is ludicrous. He won his fair share of arial duals in the hibs game.
  18. Anyone pick up on McGlynn slipping up saying Gullan instead of MacDonald in his post match interview? Would love him back again, he’s just what we need.
  19. What makes this anymore interesting than normal? It’s almost definitely a 4-2-3-1.
  20. Nobody’s not giving him a chance. We all want him to do well, as we do every signing. We’re all entitled to our opinions. Mines, like many others is that the signing isn’t anything to get excited about and the same as Connolly and Zanatta. Just because Nisbet took off, doesn’t mean we have to hype up every new signing. He is an exception. More often than not a lack lustre signing is poor on the park.
  21. Fair enough, don’t know why I had the 21st in my head.
  22. Very disappointing decision. Lietch suggested football matches could be allowed full capacity from the 21st August. Imagine a full starks park, instead limited capacity as its a day before just to please the BBC.
