I was listening to the WDHS podcast from December earlier and the guest was Derek McWilliams. He appears to have a good amount of experience as a youth coach - with Fergus resigning and McWilliams made redundant by Livi during the pandemic, is he perhaps someone that the board should approach?

There is always the possibility that the statement was well intentioned and we are just being hysterical over nothing. That however, would be pure incompetence to not cross check and consider the implications of public statements, otherwise they're just repeating the same mistakes as all their predecessors!

That statement genuinely sounds like they're just softening us up a bit and preparing us for the final howitzer! What's the point of having a board email to enable the fans to engage easier with the board, if they simply do not respond or even acknowledge the correspondences, do they even read the emails from us plebs? If they then go on to just ignore the view that I know numerous people have emailed them about, then I'd say all positivity towards this new board will go up in smoke and I for one would consider them as cretinous as previous boards. @StuartA what's the FSS position on this?

Is it possible that Rennie and Miller were brought in on the premise that Holt would soon be gone once legalities were sorted and therefore first team matters would be solely down to them? Also, hope his laddie spits the dummy and foxtrots off too!

I don't have the time or energy to look and quote examples, but I'm fairly certain that there has been numerous instances in the past where clubs have released a statement to dismiss a rumour - this is surely the right time for us to follow that example.

The rumours may be unsubstantiated and it would be ridiculous to expect the club to respond to every rumour, however, with a rumour this divisive at a time when the club seems to be making progress, a statement to quash this rumour is absolutely the right thing to do!

Whilst the majority of the board are resigning, they are currently still in place until the AGM, surely they can at least make one good decision for our club before their tenure ends..... I'll get my coat.

Absolutely turgid, abysmal performance as expected. Struggling to give pass marks to anyone today but special mentions go to Martin, Hall, Hetherington and Ruth for going the extra mile to absolutely stink the place out today. Any successful team needs a solid spine to it and those cretins today demonstrated that our team has as much of a backbone as Ian McCall, Ray McKinnon or any other snake that comes to mind. I've been an advocate of defending Sheerin as I truly believe(d) that Holt is the main culprit, but he is absolutely indefensible after that performance today. Well done to Montrose, absolutely bossed the first half and then went into coast mode for the second, they will definitely finish above us this season, as will most teams in this league.
