  1. Bronsky Beat(tie) . I would go with Cooper and Lowdon at full back and Beattie with one of Darryl/Bronsky in the middle. McHardy definitely signed for next season unsure about Eadie.
  2. Agree on Byrne. Quick and decent on the ball. His opportunities were a bit limited last season but would like to see him given a chance to stake a claim.
  3. Reilly should do well for you lot. Obviously a player Weir knows well and definitely has the ability. Someone said before he's perhaps a bit lightweight and i'd go along with that certainly needs more physical players alongside him, but like I said very good ability on the ball and will score a couple of screamers every season.
  4. Oh well I presume he was offered a new contract but I didn't think there would be any chance of him staying for another season.
  5. Agree with this. Fair play to Reilly if he is off to full time football, did a good job for us scored some excellent goals and still has time to make it at a higher level. Like you say Cameron has to be in the middle of the park as him playing wide right or up front, whilst he has the ability to do it, just doesn't work.
  6. I thought Beattie was fantastic playing at the back against us earlier this season and I'm always a fan of having an experienced core to the team which hopefully he and McGovern can provide. Happy with the business the club has done so far although I would agree with a previous poster in regards to Mcleish. Technically decent and works very hard, but not a proven goalscorer and lacks a bit of size. Would definitely prefer someone different to partner Shane for the whole season but pleased to keep Mcleish as a squad player.
  7. Clyde fans seem to rate Lowdon highly and any time I can remember seeing him he always looked a decent player, especially at Arbroath, so happy with that. With the two HL lads rumoured to be coming in soon as well its pleasing to see the club trying to get some business done nice and early so the players can get a good pre-season under their belts with as close to a settled squad as possible. As someone pointed out above, it's a big summer for Gavin so hopefully more positive news to come with signings and re-signings as he tries to put his own stamp on the team.
  8. One of the U20's signed a first team contract at their game last night. Also heard Scott Miller from Turriff (also ex-lossie) which would make sense with GK coach Stevie Dunn being a former Lossie manager. Makes sense to have a few more of the 'squad players' being local guys if possible. Obviously not advocating a fully north-based squad but surely works better if you don't have guys coming from Perth, etc. just to sit on the bench. Also means more numbers at north-based training sessions.
