  1. The question should always be, has the contact actually impeded the player? So many times, including the penalty here, players arent actually impeded by the tiniest bit of contact and just through themselves to the floor. Imagine you fell like that at 5s. Youd get the piss ripped out you straight away. Get them in the bin.
  2. For the billionth time, contact DOES NOT mean foul.
  3. To be fair, they probably thought Beaton was giving them all some masonic signal.
  4. Thats 3 or 4 times Rangers have just let Hatate shoot from the edge of the box. Not the best idea lads.
  5. Walking out to simply the best and the fans going to all that effort and expense with the display and pyro. Just to be behind after 21 seconds.
  6. Never a booking for Johnston there. Stuff like that from Silva, and the Ben White one yesterday, should be sendings off IMO.
  7. Right, wheres the pervert cameramen from the world cup? I want uninterrupted close ups of angry/crying bears on my screen please.
  8. Youre getting annoyed at a hypothetical situation played out entirely in your head. Id say most refs would just give a warning that early in the game. Its really nothing for anyone to get worked up over.
  9. Will never understand people choking for players to be booked/sent off for the smallest little thing. Consistency obviously a big problem, but I'd much rather refs kept their cards in their pockets and fans stopped being whiny bitches every foul.
  10. He'll probably score the second i post this, but i just see no scenario Johnston doesnt body Silva for the full game.
  11. Good player? Absolutely. But he has won literally nothing in his career apart from individual acclaim. His near 400 career goals have led to exactly zilch. For his world class talent, I would argue he has had a fairly shite career so far.
  12. Not sure if youre being serious or not? IMO theres no doubt that Kane is one of the best strikers in the world. At the moment there is a strong argument he is THE best striker. But his inability to contribute when it counts in pressure games is a massive black mark against him. That and the diving.
  13. For me, a big part of being a Thistle/Scotland fan is being part of the collective "us". Its being surrounded by men and women from all walks of life with vastly different jobs, educations, backgrounds and life experiences that bond together to passionately support the same team towards the same goal, i.e. to win a football match. Yes, its tribal, primitive even, its "us" v "them" and in being that lets me get caught up in something beyond the worries of every day life. If that involved noising up another set of supporters for 90 minutes, then so be it provided it doesnt cross the line of course. Some of my best moments in supporting Thistle and Scotland involve me going mental celebrating with strangers I had never met and will likely never meet again. But they are not really strangers, because we are part of the same fanbase, part of the same tribe if you like. My opinion is that experience would be diluted if surrounded by fans of another club who didnt have the same goal as me. You seem to confuse any of that with the notion that no single football fan can be trusted and everything is a hateful cesspit. In my experience its really not. Just last week I walked to and from the Thistle game alongside groups of Inverness fans. Of course there wasnt a problem, why would there be? But once the game starts, its us v them. Those Caley fans would have felt the exact same. We can go back to being pally after the game has finished. If you disagree, thats fine. If you have a better experience sitting amongst fans of other clubs, good for you. But dont call me or anyone else a moron and tar football fans with the same brush because you cant see past the vile sections of certain fanbases.
  14. What you on about? Where have i said anywhere about battering opposition fans, or doing anything moronic for that matter? I just think football loses a key part of the fan experience if you have mixed seating.
  15. Jack Grealish is completely stealing a wage. £300k a week and it must be about a year since he last did anything productive. Complete fraud of a player. No idea what Pep sees in him.
  16. Cant think of anything worse than going to the football and being stuck amongst a bunch of opposition fans. Leave that "just here for a good day out" shite to the rugby bores IMO.
  17. Imagine being worried about getting beat in the air by Ashley fucking Young. Stonewaller the daft kunt.
  18. Refuse to believe Beto isnt a competition winner. Theres an Ali Dia story in the near future with him.
  19. Its as much a riddy for the league as a whole as Livi themselves. We all get why they do it. But being in the Premiership should be financially rewarding enough in itself to not need to do it.
