Rovers are currently 8th in the table with 45 points from 30 games played. Impressive as EK's record this season is, as detailed below Rovers have won every game they've played against EK (click to enlarge) most recently our 3-1 triumph at the K Park on Boxing Day. This also marks EK's first ever visit to Cliftonhill.
  5. Ross Connelly has also played every minute of our LL and indeed all other games in 5 cup competitions this season.
  6. Thanks for bringing back that memory of July 2004 when we visited Starks in the League Cup and Raith were a division above us but we outclassed Clod (a more appropriate spelling) and his team 2-0.
  7. To be known as the Carmatkings South Challenge Cup for the remainder of this season and also for next season. So now there will be some prize money or at least a set of car mats for the winners?

  10. As one of those at Dumbarton on Tuesday I'd estimate the "crowd" at 100 as Rovers had a decent travelling support by LL standards for a Tuesday in February.

  15. A new director was appointed a week ago, Hugh Morrison and another new director was appointed today Margaret Rizza. The club issued the following statement about the Lowland League vote on admitting B teams for the next couple of years:
  16. The plan was voted through! We’re stuck with them once again!
  17. I hear that Rovers board are very much against this, and quite rightly so! I could be persuaded that 18 teams is the right amount for the LL but obviously the extra teams should be promoted in the correct manner.
  18. Rovers chairman Ian Benton has resigned from the board with immediate effect for "personal reasons".
  19. I understand he's vaguely related to the Reilly's of Pat Reilly and their company Reigart Demolition who are a very long standing sponsor. You can pick your friends but not your relatives! He is also not our former secretary who shares the same name. He says the name change is off the table but if he gets control he could easily do whatever the hell he likes.
  20. Rovers have set their admission prices at our usual LL prices for our Scottish Cup match v Bonnyrigg Rose: Entry will be via pay-at-the-gate, cash or card, adult £11, concessions £6, under-14s £3. Concessions include those aged over 65 or 14-17.
  21. Looking forward to the trip to Ayrshire on Saturday, I'd have preferred a later k-o but it'll do. Will there be a programme for the match? I've seen us play you just the once IIRC which was a midweek friendly at your old ground maybe 15 years ago. Should be a rip-roaring cup-tie and I think Rovers can get the win.
  22. The crowd at the Rovers game wasn't announced and from previous sports journalism experience I wouldn't be surprised if one or indeed both figures were guesses from the press!
  23. Rovers have announced the admission prices for the cup game this Saturday at home to St. Andrews Utd. They're our normal league prices: Adults £11, Concessions £6 and Under 14's £3. Carers go free. Pay at the gate cash or card.
