  1. It's a tribute to this kit, to which it bears absolutely no resemblance. Their current home jersey looks more like the kit it's meant to be inspired by.
  2. They also said that you couldn't buy an OAP ticket with a Child's ticket - it had to be a full price adult in order to get a kids ticket. Best case scenario is a Raith win here followed by a proper arse collapse in the following games for the banter.
  3. Interesting take on the error from JJ Bull (tactics analysis at the Athletic). You'll probably need Twitter/X or some kind of Tweetdeck to read the full thing, and I know that he and his ilk have as many detractors as fans, but thought it was worth posting none the less. Not that I particularly agree either, tbh. https://twitter.com/jj_bull/status/1772722736206413984?s=19
  4. Where to start? Tierney and Ferguson get a 6/10 for me, the rest are lucky if they deserve a 4/10. Terrible across the board. Passing was woeful - how many times did we have a man in space and then either take too long to deliver the pass or play it behind the man rather than a yard in front? I don't see what Christie offers as an attacking player these days. By all means play him, but in the deeper role that he now plays for Bournemouth. Dykes offered nothing and Shankland didn't look like he's the guy who'll get you a goal when you're desperate. We'd probably be better off playing McTominay or Ferguson as a false nine given we don't look like scoring from any of our centre forwards. Liam McLeod on the BBC commentary I'm sure said that Steven Pressley is on the coaching staff at Brentford and told him Hickey might not make the Euros? We'd better hope Pressley is as wrong as he usually is. What was the point of having 4 keepers in the squad for Gunn to play 180 minutes? Was it just so they could have 2 games of fives going at the same time? Are we now in a position where all our last games v all the other Home Nations are losses (NI tonight, England last year and Wales a few years back)? What a minter.
  5. Far too slow in possession, no idea how to break their deep defensive line, not great at beating their high press, no real style of play (are we trying to work the ball in a horseshoe to create space? If so, for who? Or are we trying to get it wide for the cut back? If so, for who? Or are we trying to go direct? If so, for who?), too many players not playing well (Patterson, Christie, Dykes, McGinn), very slack in possession, set piece delivery has been poor, look susceptible to the counter attack and we're playing in a shite strip. Other than that though..
  6. I know McTominay has good set piece delivery but I'd want him in the box to get on the end of a cross or get a second ball. Surely someone can swing a cross in?
  7. Putely looking at the BBC... Friday night - Championship (or League One/Two) game live on BBC Scotland. Followed by A View from the Terrace. Saturday lunchtime - Fitba' focus: we don't need the BBC network show but a preview show with content about all four divisions, features on non-league, etc. Round up of last week's best goals, any under 21/reserve games, etc. Saturday afternoon - Sportsound. Loads to change, but nothing too hard. First hour or so previewing all the games, not just Rangers/Celtic. Teams news and analysis of the teams from all featured games which include at least one from each division during league weeks. If Rangers or Celtic aren't playing until Sunday, then they are not discussed at all. At 3pm, cover one game live but not just a Rangers or Celtic game. Relevance to top six/bottom six, relegation, Europe, managers under pressure, game from the Championship, make sure its actually the most interesting game of the day. Other channel has Open All Mikes, but the chat is about the games as they progress, not VAR, not who Rangers could sign, etc. After 5pm, brief match reports from all featured games with scorers and comments about the other games in each division and how they leave the tables. Interviews from both managers (where available) at each featured game. Saturday night - Sportscene. Longer highlights, proper analysis, no VAR chat unless it's absolutely necessary. Goals round up from the Championship and Leagues One and Two where available (even if it just means showing one or two goals from L1 and L2) with league tables from all 4 divisions.
  8. Hopefully like a lot of opening games it'll be a cagey affair (a 1-1 like the opener to Euro 96 would do just fine) and they get into their groove from the second group game onwards!
  9. The badge stuff is petty AF. Couple of points though... - "It happened in 2022" yes, but the photo of it was of players celebrating and it was in the background (folk probably didn't notice at the time) but this one was very obvious since it was like it was Rangers social media guys making a point - After doing it in 2022 you'd think they'd have a big enough badge to cover the whole Hearts badge? Even a large white sheet with the Rangers logo in the middle? That's probably the most tin pot aspect of the whole thing tbh - Hearts statement is mental, but if Rangers have asked to do it, Hearts have said no and then Rangers have done it anyway then that is poor form. Rangers would put out a much more amusing statement if anyone dared do anything to their home dressing room.
  10. Yeah, great that Germany are hitting their straps just before the Euros. Who do they have in their group, anyway?
  11. If it was a 4 against United it was a very lopsided one given Edwards was about 20 yards further up the pitch and about 5 yards closer to the touchline than Welch-Hayes..?
  12. Aye, I've seen a few comments on here and on dotnet about 4 at the back and that's not what I've been seeing. Welch-Hayes has been RCB and Ritchie-Hosler has been RWB surely?
  13. Been to three cup finals (all v Celtic) and watched us on TV in another (v Hibs). Been to three losing efforts in semi finals (v Rangers, v Celtic and one other) and seen us on TV lose one other semi final. So it's not outwith the realms of possibility should we get back to the Premiership and consolidate our position there, but I'm getting on a bit now so it's probably unlikely.
  14. It's "should of scored" - well, according to Stewart it is.
  15. And this means that there will be people out there believing that she doesn't have cancer and its just to hide something else. Did Chuck fire all the late Queen's PR department or something? It's like Amateur hour for the Firm.
  16. Yeah in an election where low turnout (especially on the Democratic/Independent side) would be hugely beneficial to your own chances, publishing a list of cuts to things that the Democrats will be pushing front and centre in all the swing states (and probably getting a ton of free media to do so as well) seems a bit of a Ratner moment.
  17. Surely should have been easy enough for United to say "Following discussions with police and stewards, we have taken the decision to not sell tickets for the front section of the Carling Stand. This area will be roped off for safety reasons and any fans attempting to sit in this section will be removed" or something. Seems an easy out.
  18. They look like Joma or something with a Nike badge - and not even a genuine Nike badge - stuck on top of the Joma logo. Weird and not in a good way.
