The shambles at senior level is all about self interest because of the financial implications. That comes first before the actual good of the game however I dont see where self interest comes into it with ayrshire committee?? Theres no financial gain involved in how they split the leagues. Their only thought is fixtures by trying to ensure leagues arent finished too early or late. They cant win because they wont ever please everyone. Someone will always have a gripe. People come on here and moan but I have been to my fair share of league formation meetings and no one says a dickie bird. They just patiently wait on the cup draws. The 2a and 2b leagues turned out to be disastrous but I was at that particular meeting and I recall just one person who expressed his views against it and it was unanimously voted in! They ask for input but very rarely have I seen any given. The next agm and league formation meetings will be the most important ever and let's see if there's people who will help the committee out with ideas. I wont be holding my breath. They will wait till afterwards and then take to a forum for a swipe at how big a c**t of it they made

You dont know it's a minuscule risk. People of all ages have died thru this virus, from new born babies to the old and infirm. The world has been locked down as a result of this so it must be serious enough to us all. We all want the world to return to normal, we are all struggling in one way or another but why put hundreds of people at risk to kick a ball about a park before we are sure it's ok to do so? We all miss the football but why rush back, run the risk of infecting hundreds more and then find ourselves back to square one again?

I can't believe people actually believe the amateur game has a chance of returning this year. We will be lucky to be playing at this time next year. Amateur football cant possibly return until theres a vaccine. Leagues at senior level with millions of pounds at their disposal have no idea when they will return so how on earth can we possibly play at amateur level? Its simple....if you cant get tested then you cant play, manage, officiate etc

I honestly cant understand the delay with the amateur game. Just call it now and void the season. Sure some people wont be happy but its not as if theres financial implications like there is in the professional game. Let teams know now and be done with it and at least clubs no they will be starting afresh whenever this has ran its course.

Opinions vary. Everyone is allowed one and no one will know who is right or wrong until its experimented. I don't think it would ever have been so with what's going on in the world right it gives us that opportunity. If it fails, it won't be difficult to avert back

Without players you dont have a game. Simple. I agree they are pampered but even in the professional game players have it all their own way. Like it or loathe it this is the way football is currently. Summer football would increase interest on and off the park massively, I dont really think theres any doubt about that. Sure clubs might find themselves missing a player or two july/august time but that's the only slight negative I can see

I'm my experience our squad is weaker in the winter. Boys waking up in the morning and saying f**k playing in that. Yes holidays will play a part in summer football of course but imo the positives outweigh the negatives

Without repeating every one else but it's also a no brainer for me as well. This unprecedented crisis also gives us the perfect opportunity to give it a whirl. The interest on and off the park during the lighter nights and better weather will be night and day by comparison to the way it is at the moment. Crowds are at an all time low and its purely because of the conditions. Seeing 90% of matches played on grass has to be a good thing too. Not just because that's where the game should be played but also the money it will save clubs will be welcomed massively. Player interest will double overnight and I think it could save the amateur game which I'm sure we will agree has been on its arse for a couple of seasons now

My personal opinion is they have to find some way of finishing it. No matter if it takes to August or whatever. Then restart next season around October and we would have the summer football we all want. The back end of the season big games all played in the summer.

Difference is these people do that for a living. You cant force someone not to work and not pay them for a month
