  1. Not been on here for a while. Hope everyone is well. Might be alone in this but I’m quite happy Macca is taking his time with signings. Imagine the absolute dross Davidson, Flax and the football manager screenshots stevie grieve probably sneaked into Callum’s Filofax as scouting reports before he was chased out could have produced this summer. Any of the players in the mould of Turner and Deas probably wouldn’t have been targeted as they weren’t time served in the top league and would of had moves sorted well before Maclean took over. Now I’ve said that can’t wait for the tweet announcing 2 year deals for Snodgrass Mcgeady and Jim Butter in September
  2. Tam Cowan is small minded dinosaur and Marvin Bartley is a man who has been convicted of threatening to harm a woman. score draw in my opinion. Neither should be given a platform by the media to express their views
  3. Most footballers I have met have been very nice but the worst player and possibly the up there with one of the worst human beings I have met was Marcus Heikkinen in an Aberdeen kebab shop after a night in Liquid I wouldn’t of known who he was but my mate is an huge Aberdeen fan and went to speak to him. He proceeded to start shouting abouting about how horrible a place Aberdeen was, how he hated the horrible fans and wish he had never seen Aberdeen. then he started racially abusing the guys behind the shop counter. When I told him to stop he started shouting racist homophobic abuse at me about me and another of my mates who was standing outside and is half Indian. We started scrapping and were pulled apart by the shop staff. He was thrown out and I hope he went hungry. On a side note my spicy chicken pizza was brilliant
  4. Tommy Wright doesn’t get interviewed, Sir Thomas interviews you... Motherwell FC failed
  5. I’m really struggling with some of my fellow saints supporters, including some of my friends ideas! Maybe I’m the one in the wrong but anything above 11th place is surely a successful season? Anything else is a bonus. I can understand the frustration as on paper this is probably the best squad in terms of ability in my life time and some of the performances have been awful after the winter break but playing Celtic 3 times hasn’t helped! As well as losing Drey! Swanson and O’Halloran not being fit when signing hasn’t helped our creativity. We have had some terrible runs over the years but the team always gets through it. I wouldn’t bet against us for a top 6 finish. Tommy is an absolute legend and I for one won’t question any of his decisions, He surely has earned enough trust over the years to deserve that, when he has given us some of our best memories and moments supporting Saints.
  6. Probably that he was wrong about the plastic pitch... Killie are just an overly aggressive unit, who don’t want to play football the right way, just stop other teams playing anyway they can and then take advantage.
  7. No I wasn’t aware of that. Makes things a bit clearer. Thanks . I know a few season ticket holders who were annoyed by things like that who have got to the point of not renewing their season ticket, because there seems to be 2 levels of fans, ones in the know and the rest. But if these things need to be passed on by word of mouth then it’s only understandable that you would need to know volunteers or people active within the club to find out about them
  8. Hi I’m usually just a lurker but thought I’d reply to this topic. I’ve been a season ticket holder for a few years now and I agree to communication and information that comes out the club is amateurish at best. I know Gary is getting it a bit tight but he has nothing to work with as I believe the problem is top down, as long as the board of directors and pals know what’s going on the rest of us don’t really matter. The best marketing in this day and age for a football club is free, Twitter, Facebook, instagram, YouTube, all these things with a person updating them regularly would make the club seem more accessible. The club updated the website and somehow it’s even worse and more difficult to find anything that it was before. The club online shop is difficult to find and doesn’t really have much to buy. No new season ticket holders can get to the player of the year awards due the the fact they have went for the last 10 years, only regulars and their pals are invited. The clubhave had event for players testimonials and haven’t advertised them, not even to season ticket holders.Even One with off the ball where they only invited about 50 people. Yes the club do lots of great things, but the lack of communication and engagement with the community is undoing all the great work
  9. Just saw Mark McGhee at McDonalds at Broxden in Perth. Thought he would of been a large meal man, only ordered a medium. Not sure that was worth a first post.
