  1. Even before that, as soon as that purple patch of wins ended last season cracks started to appear. Pretty much from the moment he got the job permanently the sides performances cratered. I remember feeling that the side limped into third place after the split. As good as that initial run of wins was it’s remarkable how bad Hearts and other sides had to be for Aberdeen to finish 3rd.
  2. It’s amazing to me the lack of vision pundits at the major media outlets in this country have. Just having any kind of association with one of the big two can be enough to get your name mentioned for a ton of jobs. Seeing names like Malky Mackay, Callum Davidson and Neil Lennon mentioned you get the impression they don’t want to put forward a name that isn’t someone they already know and may be on friendly terms with.
  3. The form that got McInnes sacked was probably worse than Robson.
  4. Aye as others have said I think it's almost certain they'll go for someone with more experience this time. No idea who that would be mind you. Alex Neil and Lennon are the two obvious names that will likely be mentioned but obviously have their own issues.
  5. Incredible him complaining about the squad being leggy when he dropped players like Barron who’ve played way less than almost every other midfielder. That combined with the stat showing we used the least number of players and second least number of subs in the league show he is full of it or just clueless. Or both.
  6. He certainly should be, only thing that makes me think he won’t is that they’ll likely have nobody in place for the interim period and won’t want to leave whoever they end up with against the old firm for two games in a row. If he’s not gone imminently then I think they’ll keep him until after the Scottish cup game.
  7. This is perfectly setup for the inevitable Curtis Main scrappy winner.
  8. Saying on the radio the official word is that Duk is ill...
  9. Think Pollock can be put back into the not an option pile again then.
  10. Please! A stationary chair could play at fullback against Aberdeen this season.
  11. No clue what formation that is. Not sure if Milne is in midfield or at CB? No Duk at all in the squad.
  12. Don’t be silly, next you’ll be suggesting we play a midfield 5 that isn’t entirely made up of centre mids?
  13. Here we go again. Says we’re looking at several options with Pollock being one of them.
  14. No I can’t say I am either. As I said above I think they’re just delaying because they don’t have a clue for an alternative just now.
  15. Yeah I think everyone knows realistically if that game had meant anything it would have turned out very differently. It seems pretty obvious they have absolutely nobody lined up and so are just stalling for time. A defeat on Tuesday and likely some potentially grim games against the ugly sisters afterwards means it’s surely inevitable now.
  16. Starting today for Watford as well. Doesn’t mean he won’t still go as Derby are already out of the FA cup so he wouldn’t need to worry about being cup tied but it is a bit of a strange move to play him if he’s supposedly got one foot out the door.
  17. Not that it’s enough to go by on its own but transfermarkt lists him as a cm/am that can also play on the wing so doesn’t sound like a Ramadani type at least.
  18. Way, way more positive than I expected. Have to imagine Hearts will do much better in the second half.
  19. I just don't fancy Morris to have any end product although i suppose a game like this where we're likely going to have to counter attack would certainly suit his pace. Would be nice to see Duncan play any games in his actual position rather than trying to play him as some sort of closing down centre mid.
  20. Yeah not that I'm calling for Morris to start but it's another Robson peculiarity that he seems keener to play him out of position at wing back than to play him on the wing in a formation that uses wingers.
