  1. What's with the possible restrictions on weddings in step 4? No legal limits on social contacts and nightclubs can re open but weddings still need to be restricted? Doesn't affect me but seems a bit random. Also are we presuming masks will still be required in stage 4? Good luck with that in nightclubs.
  2. It's interesting. I've seen very high levels of compliance around where I live however I had to go to London yesterday (essential journey) and I would say about 30% of folk on the tube either weren't wearing masks or had them pulled down below their nose or round their neck. I don't place a massive amount of faith in masks tbh but it was a bit of a surprise and a contrast to my experience more locally here in Norfolk.
  3. It's awright, Phil the Greek about to sort that out over the next few days...hopefully.
  4. If this game results in anything other than Kamberi scoring the winner I'll be quite surprised.
  5. I enjoyed his reference to serial killer Dennis Neilsen in the pre match build up...
  6. People were saying that months ago. UK public are shitebags. When was the last time there was large scale public unrest in this country?
  7. Celtic to field an under 21 team but still win the match. Its the Hibs way.
  8. Just had an email informing me that nursery will be closed tomorrow here in North Norfolk due to lack of staff. Would be interested to know if this is through illness or staff deciding to stay at home. Not much of a surprise either way tbh. Supposed to be back on Tuesday. Canny see it.
  9. Disgrace what happened to him. Although I do feel we are perhaps guilty of romanticising the situation. He hadn't played a massive amount of games and whilst he may well have been the next Billy McNeil, I remember a lot of hype surrounding Danny Wilson when he first broke through at Rangers and we know how that turned out. If someone had snapped his knee in half we could've been having a similar conversation about him. Regardless Ganea wouldn't be getting any fucking tea in my house.
  10. Is that real? What a fucking minter of a country, honestly.
  11. Reading the story about that it sounds like one of those things where you can start a petition online and if it gets so many votes it has to be debated in Parliament. If its anything like when that happens in this country then I doubt there's much chance of it passing. I wouldn't get our hopes up.
  12. Fletcher's peak was taken away from him by his illness and he was becoming one of their most important players prior to that, I'm sure he was even being touted as Captain at one point. On the wider point of some of the "EPL standard" players that are either coming through or have already established themselves, I agree we now have some very good options. However what we really need more than anything else is a top class goalscorer. We've not had that for a very long time (if ever tbh). Thats been the real difference between us and the other home nations in recent years. Wales have Bale, ROI had Robbie Keane, even David Healy scored a barrowload for NI FFS!
  13. Supported Rangers when I was wee, because they won everything and all the kids at school supported them. Family had no interest in football. Got to my teenage years and realised I disagreed with pretty much everything they represented and that actually supporting a team from the other side of the country because they happened to be in the middle of 9 in a row when I was growing up didn't mean I had to spend the rest of my life amongst union jack waving neanderthals. Started going to Easter Road with my best mate (who had a season ticket and often had a spare) for something to do on a Saturday and the excuse to have a couple of pints. Had my own season ticket within a couple of years. Winning stuff very occasionally when you are shite the rest of the time is much more fun than winning every week.
  14. Angus Gunn. Alright he was born and brought up in England, but with a name like that and considering his father was a Scotland International you'd think we'd have had a decent shout of getting him. Similarly see David Weir's son is currently representing England at youth level.
  15. Tbf I think he only played about 4 games due to injury. And it was Heckingbottom's Hibs, everyone was rubbish.
  16. Watched this the other night. Usually I'm alright with true crime stuff but this really got to me. The combination of the use of lots home video etc of the wee girls and the family acting normally throughout the documentary with audio near the end of the dad describing exactly how he did it and his daughters confusion what was happening was really quite upsetting. The fact I have a daughter about the same age probably makes it worse.
  17. Most of the modern stoves have now got similar self cleaning glass systems to the clear views I think. We got a heta 45 installed last year. Stove was about 1k and the installation, building work etc was 2k. That was from an old opening from a gas fireplace that needed slightly opened up and made good. Got a massive cage of kiln dried oak last year which I'm still working my way through. That was about 300 quid. Stoves are great but don't kid yourself on into thinking it will save you money. Maybe if you can get free wood you might save enough in heating to cover the cost of the installation in about 50 years!
  18. His position is fairly untenable after the Rangers saga, be surprised to see him back in a hibs jersey.
  19. I've had one of these for about 10 years and its still going strong. It is a bit more specialist that maybe what the OP would be after though, you need a decent grinder, good beans, fiddling about with techniques etc aswell. I believe they changed the way they are manufactured a few years back and the newer ones are not built to the same standard so you really want an older one. Got my eye on a lelit marax or similar for the next machine but I need to upgrade the grinder as well. Things start to get a bit silly money wise tbh I can't really justify it. If you just want a nice coffee in the morning then something like an aeropress of a hario V60 will both make a really good coffee for little outlay. Just need to get a hold of decent ground beans (or buy a half decent grinder).
  20. Not so much meltdown related but there was a teacher who got done for trying to get girls to send him naked pictures via Facebook. He used the classic "I was hacked" excuse which surprisingly didn't wash with the authorities and he was promptly struck off. Another bloke got done for making alleged suggestive comments to various girls. Whilst this wasn't an enormous surprise I was a bit shocked to read that he hung himself after being found guilty.
  21. Massive stack of porn mags on a country path when I was about 14. Great days. Not seen a discarded jazz mag in a bush for years.
  22. Complete waste of money. Every single person in the country knows they should be staying inside. If Boris Johnson interrupting their nightly viewing of Corination Street to tell them didn't convince them I doubt a letter through the door will..
  23. Wickes website currently has a "queue" holding page due to "unprecedented demand". It's like trying to purchase T in the Park tickets circa 2005. Gonna be some really badly put together shelves going up over the next couple of weeks.
