  1. Unless it’s a big drubbing on Saturday then no chance he will go and sadly with the number of games left unless it is the assistant ( please god no) or a senior player too late imho for anyone to come in to save us. The only thing we can hope for is effort and fight from the players. Well that’s us gubbed then… ….I could actually see us going the rest of the season without another win.
  2. Couldn’t agree more. For me… Stone Houston Brydon Efe Kilsby Gibson Cochrane Todd Connolly Reilly Mumbongo
  3. I can’t see there being a reduced compensation clause. Remember that he looked a hot ticket when appointed him so he will have struck a good deal.
  4. I had the fear when he said in his interview that he would drag us out of this and rebuild for next season. If we survive he will dig in. If not will run away with excuses.
  5. Don’t blame you for that rant at all. I pretty much agree with you
  6. Hmm. That’s the joy of this Board. Different opinions!
  7. I don’t think I’ve ever seen arrogance and ill grace like it. Yes well done you won but it was 1-1 till the 64th minute and although you missed numerous chances we missed a couple. We did fold but rubbing it in isn’t a particularly charming trait. Enjoy your championship as your last 4 seasons haven’t been so clever.
  8. Sadly I think you are right. He is a terrific orator but has zero skill at this level as a football manager, sadly. I like a lot of others was drawn in by the compelling narrative and young, cool, professional look but there is no substance. I don’t think he has a clue how to get us out of this. We are a full time team with a reasonable budget. How are we third bottom?
  9. Behave. This deserved to be about 2-1 to your mob. We also had our chances in a good half hour spell. You were the better team, won and will win the league. Enjoy it and at least be a little gracious.
  10. I agree. Sandra never asks an open ended question and we should ask: what precisely are you going to change to get us out of this, when are Brydon and Church back. Why didn’t you play Houston and Efe along with your apposite questions above. Honestly I’ve interviewed dozens of people on camera in my previous job ( and I’m not a journalist) and this is basic stuff. It looks like a Stasi staged video every week. The bit that got me was that we were ‘fantastic’ for half an hour. Well that’s no good if we lose 4-1…
  11. I thought he was a handful last night and unlucky not to score. Our issue lies further back. McKay should never play defensively for us again and Logan a headless chicken. Midfield Ferguson missing again and Cochran has been very poor recently. Until we stop conceding a barrow load of soft goals we are going to win nothing. When we went ahead again last night I just prayed for us to shut up shop but again terrible tactics and awful team selection shot us down.
  12. Shocking second half. Well done Falkirk. The better team. Couldn’t defend our way out of a wet paper bag. Set pieces and the statue that is Paul Mckay. Need Houston to replace Logan and Efe in for McKay next week. I would fire Bartley and get someone else in that can organise this rabble or relegation is a certainty. 1 win in 11. Enough is enough. Like last time how can we go a goal ahead at home and just crumble. I’m in Latam for the next 4 weeks so won’t see the next 4 games. Thank god.
  13. Can someone tell me why Vartlet is picking McKay ahead of Ambrose. He can’t mark a player. Agree getting ahead we throw it away again by conceding 2 goals again. You can’t defend like this and expect to win games. Houston and Snbrose have to start next week
  14. I’m going to turn the commentary off. Craigan not content at getting our players names wrong is so obsequious regarding Falkirk it’s sickening. Falkirk all over us for first half hour ( too high a line and Logan and Kilsby not stopping crosses) but we came into it more in the last 10. Can only see a 2-0 win for Falkirk but would like to see us have a go.
  15. Ok it’s a spellcheck issue you are right I meant I would like to hear from both sides
  16. Sorry but this sounds quite bitter. I really liked Willie as a player but he wasn’t a successful manager ( ironic that Marv is even worse) and seems to carry a lot of baggage. I would line up head both sides of the story…
  17. I retired for 2 days 6 years ago and hated it so started a new business. Dead happy. Retirement is the most dangerous job in the world. More people die in that role than any other.
  18. Yes and escaping into the sunset by blaming our relegation on Marv!
  19. He just looked exhausted, hunted and a man that had run out of ideas. He was actually rambling for the first time. I know he has been terrible and has to go but I did feel a bit sorry for him.
  20. No I wouldn’t have Gibson back. That’s my point
