Finisher, right back and someone who can cross a ball without it going to either the goalie, first defender or row Z of the stand would be my priorities. Cover for when Beck goes () and midfield playmaker next most important. -

Did I miss the announcement about Scottish Gas sponsoring the Cup??? When did that happen? I presume they've sponsered it for the equivalent of a packet of polos and a bottle of 7-Up?

Very poor performance last night. Boateng and Sylla looked like they had never been asked to make a five yard pass to a team-mate before, and both wanted far too much time on the ball. Tiffoney beat his man the first time he went on the attack and did nothing at all after that. No idea what Carson was doing for their first goal, but he did make a few really good saves after that. Beck looked really good in the further forward role, was the only real bright spot. Pineda should be starting at the weekend, Rudden & Baka have offered nothing going forward, other than weak shots and poor build-up play. Our season won't be defined by games against the Bigot Brothers, but we need to start scoring - Shaughnessey is our only player with more than one league goal this season. -

I presume that line up leads to Goal machine, Portales and Lamie at the back, with Beck and Donnelly wing backs?? Am also assuming this will be the night when Lammers and Dessers finally click and score (dodgy VAR-assisted) hat tricks each… -

Rain has pretty much stopped now. A few hours of dryness and it should be fine. Any more rain however… -

As I said on the Green Bigot match thread, we usually have one performance per season where we wither get an unexpected point/win or lose a heartbreaking 89th minute goal to go down 2-1 or 3-2, against either of the cheeks. We have been on a reasonably positive run the last few games, which should give me more confidence, as does the fact that it's a midweek game not on the telly, but I'm predicting a 2 goal defeat at best. We really need the forwards to start scoring regularly, but can't see it happening tomorrow. Prove me wrong. Please. -

I live not too far from Dens and it's been pretty sunny and dry since Sunday morning. Not too sure that will have any relevance to the conditions at the ground, based on the recent state of the pitch after even the slightest drizzle. Hoping it'll be on, without any real confidence that it will be... -

Saturday night excitement in the far north. Fully expect us to play reasonably well and yet still lose. Will be the coldest game of the season so far without doubt, will need to look out my hat and gloves in preparation for an action-packed thriller under the bright lights of the sheep-dome... -
P&B as new sponsors - on the condition that they arrange the top flight like the top flight forums (fora??) - Bigot Brothers get their own little 1v1 league and the rest of us get peace and quiet...

Celtic FC vs Dundee FC - 16/09/23

We usually have one game against either of the Bigot Brothers each season where we either get an unlikely point/win or press them really hard and fall to a gallant 2-1 or 1-0 defeat. Not this time, routine 3 or 4 goal win as Brenda finally gets a decent showing out of his team. -

Watched the highlights today and two things came to mind; Firstly, Tiffoney’s miss was worse than Rudden’s. Secondly, to prove how ridiculous this expected goal stat thing is, apparently the fermers had a higher score than we did from yesterday. Laughably incorrect.
