Both prone to losing the heid but don’t remember it being as big a problem under McCall.

I did have you in mind when I said it haha. He made mistakes (the one at Tannadice last season I couldn’t believe what I was seeing), but I think it’s also clear anyone he was partnered with was a better player for it. The jury was out on Rose until he was partnered with Bell. Next thing he was one of the best centre halves in the Championship and got a move to Coventry. When we signed Baird almost everyone said he was a cracking signing IF he was partnered with someone more experienced. I can accept the reasons for letting Bell leave but we really needed to get a replacement. In the meantime I can’t believe that we’re persisting with Baird and Roscoe. Muirhead + one other is our best bet until we get someone else in.

The government have been propping him up in front of the public since April as The Guy (TM) who is advising them through everything. Why shouldn’t we take seriously what he’s saying and question it when necessary?

If you’re indicating right while going straight on at a roundabout then you are indicating wrongly and are liable to confuse others. The way to let everyone know you are going straight on is to leave your indicators alone until you’re past the first exit, then start indicating left. It’s in the Highway Code. Anyone heading west should be indicating left the whole time, it isn’t your responsibility to make up for those that don’t. If I was in the right lane of that roundabout with you on my left and you started indicating right I’d probably shit myself that you were about to ram into the side of me.

I hope they do, but will they really feel compelled to? He was well backed in the summer given the uncertainty. We even paid a fee for a couple of players. The problem isn’t that he wasn’t given the resources to build a capable team, it’s that the team has been stacked with a load of forwards and attacking midfielders - most of whom want to play similar roles. Both the defence and midfield are light - and of the players we do have in those positions there’s absolutely no leadership there or anyone willing to get “stuck in”. I still can’t believe the amount of people who were dismissing Bell as being past it and no great loss when he left in the summer. Our most experienced players are Muirhead and Moff. Muirhead is a nutter and Moff is hardly the most vocal. On top of that it’s obvious that Kerr has no idea what his best team is. The front 3/4 changes on a weekly basis.

He can’t play for anyone else this season as he’s already played for us and Aberdeen. Unless Aberdeen see a use for him in the second half of the season or he’s incredibly unhappy at Ayr, he’ll probably be here until the end of the season.

Nah. Anyone about to exit the roundabout should be indicating left. Plenty of people don’t but that doesn’t mean you should start using your indicators wrongly to compensate for them. Edit - what you’re saying could also be quite dangerous. That’s a two lane roundabout so if you’re going straight on you’ll be in the left lane. If you’re indicating right while in the left hand lane people on the right of you will worry you’re about to cut across them.

That’s highly disingenuous. Hospitalisations UK wide are at the level they were back in April, but the number in ICU is only half of what it was then. In Scotland, total hospitalisations are 2/3 of what they were at the peak, and ICU levels 1/4 of what they were then. Our percentage of tests returning positive is also well down from a couple of months ago.

We played 27 games last season amassing 40 points. 18 of those points (45%) came in the 9 games before Kerr took charge. Under Kerr last season we amassed 1.22 points per game. If you apply that to the whole season we would have finished in seventh place - behind Arbroath, Dunfermline and Morton. I don’t take any pleasure in criticising him as I know this will be hurting him just as much as any of us and I want him to do well, but the pessimism on here is justified. Even in most of our wins this season we’ve been poor and most of our losses come as the result of a complete capitulation.

Completely agree he deserves time, but to be honest I’m starting to lose any hope I had that he can turn it around. We don’t seem to have anyone in the squad who will take responsibility. We lost a lot of our influential players in the summer, and I can’t say Kerr seems the type to rile the players up in their absence.

We seem spineless. No leadership. A defeat at Tynecastle isn’t season defining, but the manner of the capitulation and most of our performances this season don’t paint a good picture.

This for me but Miller in for Chalmers. Unfortunately I think it’s almost guaranteed that the centre-halves will be unchanged and Muirhead will be at full back again. I think we’ll get absolutely horsed.
