  1. @NorthCaleyFA Early goal at Holm, @bobbygunn67 scores for @ThursoFC after 6 mins. Score - @OrkneyFC 0 v @ThursoFC 1 #NCFA https://t.co/dANPvsGQPq
  2. So on P&B moving day are NCL and the North juniors, or whatever they are going to be called, each going to get their own independent Scottish Professional Football League section? With the Midland league to follow when the SFA rubber stamps it? I do hope so. Is someone on it?! [emoji106]
  3. It makes you think the LL will be running two league tables. One with and one without! The LL clubs will certainly need to keep track of where they are in relation to promotion so the one without them. It really does seem like a joke...
  4. As I said, I'd ideally promote four. This would leave just the worst seven clubs after just one season...
  5. They really should have at least one relegation place from each conference. There's at least a of couple of sides who's natural place is the third division and delaying them getting there won't do them any favours like it hasn't Eyemouth United. I think there should be four up and two down to the third from each conference but there are now just those two options... It also makes you think they are 100% confidence they'll get a number of applicant clubs come the end of March 2022. Could it also include the relaximg of the application standards for division 3 making them confident?
  6. Well, let's see if it actually happens as most would agree to them being banned. As the EPL, UEFA and FIFA are suggesting will happen. Anyway, nothing to do with the EoS...
  7. Now I know this isn't EoS, or even Scotland, and there are vast differences between Scotland and England but this is from my local league. Which are the 9th tier of English football, step 5 of the non-league system... https://theucl.co.uk/2021/04/13/ucl-to-expand/ There were big changes planned anyway at the end of the 2019/20 season in England and these changes got postponed one season. I thought there were a few things in the link which might interest some as we've debated on them in recent years and others very recently on here as regards the Scottish non-league set-up. I thought it might be of interest to some... Feel free to ignore if it doesn't interest!
  8. That's not what null and void is. The LL & HL did PPG and not null and void.
  9. I did agree with the proposal to play on until 50% was complete, one reason being, although I'm hopeful, there's a chance there could be a break again in the next twelve months, and imagine being in a similar position next year with three uncompleted seasons and still no first division. However, it wasn't up to me to decide. It was up to the clubs to consult their committee and players. In most organisations you have to be a member for a year before being able to vote. They should have and no doubt have consulted and those eligible have voted. Although as pointed out even if everyone could vote immediately the overall decision wouldn't have changed. So fair enough, the decision has been made...
  10. I wonder how many in the conferences would just settle for just them getting to 50% just to sort out Division 1 and Division 2 for next season?
  11. I did say compromise. It would at least mean a Division 1 was in place. Not saying I necessary agree but it would be an option.
  12. Probably a compromise is they establish a Division 1 based on the top eight (PPG) from each conference. It won't suit quite everyone as some of the sides outside the top eight won't be happy being in the third tier of the EoS. However, I feel some who have been getting beat regularly each season since the first junior influx, might well prefer it and will be glad when they are playing other sides of their level more regular.
  13. They could combine the results from the last two uncompleted seasons and work out the Premier and Division 1 from those. Doubling this season's points for those promoted last season... I'm off to run and hide even though I'm sure everyone will think this is a fantastic idea... [emoji23]
  14. Ah, there you go... I've found it in the Junior section. I should have worked that out sooner... [emoji2957]
  15. Midland League thread? Why can't I find that thread? t's late and I can't find it can anyone help? [emoji2957][emoji23]
  16. Tayport have said previously, they'll be applying to the EoS if no alternative senior league was available. The context was ready for next season.
  17. Yeah, that was why I was encouraged again from the reply above as I previously thought things were where you just said. You think you're getting somewhere and then there seems to be a dampener, again like you said.
  18. Do we know if the East Juniors, North of the line, have been kept up to date in any brief way? Forfar West End don't seem to be that encouraged but that might be because of their fellow North of line Easterners? Montrose to Forfar, isn't that far though?...
  19. Can't some existing clubs from the EoS, former juniors, go and talk to the North Juniors about the benefits of the pyramid? With the facts not myths. I know most consider the North Juniors on par with amateurs but not a lot needs to change for a lot of them. May be a commitment to have no changes to criteria to get things moving. Allow them to play on public parks if they want to? I'd love to be a fly on the wall to the North pyramid discussions just to know what the issues are. Maybe they could get advice from the EoS for setting up a Highland feeder? Lack of anything in the North is continuing to cause problems in the Lowland League area...
  20. Any further news on the North Caledonian League linking up with the Highland League? May be that's the only way this moves on? A ripple effect, North juniors decide after all they're interested, after seeing it in operation for a bit, and then the north of the line East Juniors are attracted because they aren't just linking up with the NCL...
  21. If there was appetite for the Highland League pyramid you'd half wonder if it was to force someone's hand. Maybe Tayside have gone for a North of Dundee club to increase the chances of a club being rejected by the EoS. Then it's, well, we should have a Tayside senior league then! We've tried all other options! [emoji12][emoji23]
  22. Phew, I was concerned they were trying to open a ridiculous back door to the Lowland League...
  23. They already have plans. Those were mentioned on here a month or two back. For the EoS there were slightly different routes depending on if the season was completed in some form or another and how many new applications there were.
