  1. Saturday, 20th August 2022 Third Division 2.30pm Bo'ness Athletic (3) v. Fauldhouse ( 8 ) Just the one game but you'd probably fancy Bo'ness Athletic to make it four out of four in the league and keep the division's only 100% record going.
  2. Saturday, 20th August 2022 Second Division 2.30pm Arniston Rangers (7) v. Newburgh (17) Lochgelly Albert (10) v. Craigroyston (16) Peebles Rovers (15) v. St Andrews (9) Stirling University ( 8 ) v. Syngenta (2) Thornton Hibs (5) v. Edinburgh South (6) Stirling University v. Syngenta possibly the game of the day based on the early league positions.
  3. Saturday, 20th August 2022 First Division 2.30pm Dunipace (5) v. Leith Ath. (9) So just the one game.
  4. Saturday, 20th August 2022 Premier Division 2.30pm unless stated Dundonald Bluebell (6) v. Vale of Leithen (16) (2pm) Inverkeithing HS (4) v. Haddington Athletic (9) Oakley Utd (15) v. Broxburn ( 8 ) Sauchie (3) v. Linlithgow Rose (5) So probably game of the day 3rd place Sauchie at home to 5th place Linlithgow Rose? But can Inverkeithing HS match the current top two and become the third side in the top division with a four out of four 100% record?
  5. Fort William (Rel.) v Golspie (4) * * fixture subject to outcome of Facebook members' appeal
  6. Ahh, but remember it's all the Highland league's fault. Those North East Aberdeen b******s.
  7. If there is a net gain of just one, an extra team is relegated in each division. If there is a net loss of one, an extra team is promoted in each division. If there is a net gain of two, no change to the standard, the Premier will go with 18 and relegate an extra two the following season. (The standard is three up, three down. Except for between divisions 2 & 3 where Division 2 is currently 18 and Division 3 is currently 10 so the standard there is relegating four and promoting only two this season.)
  8. I much prefer the EoS's approach with regards promotion and relegation depending on net losses / gains from the Lowland. The WoS's leaves so many clubs in limbo and feels a lot messier.
  9. I don't know but they sound like a crack outfit and are ready to play at a moment's notice! [emoji23]
  10. I understand the mower has been oiled and trackers placed on their goalkeepers. However, is it me, or is the grass quite long in these third and fourth photos from the 1st August?
  11. Opening league fixtures 20 August 2022 - North Caledonian League 2pm unless stated (Last season's positions in brackets) Alness (10) v Invergordon (1) Fort William (Rel.) v Golspie Sutherland (4) (1pm) Loch Ness (2) v Orkney (6) St. Duthus (5) v Halkirk Utd (3) Nairn County 'A' ( 8 ) v Thurso (7) Inverness (9) v Clach reserves (-) (Bonar Bridge (11) are the idle team on the opening day) ---------------------------------------------------------- So maybe, the game of the day is Fort William v Golspie Sutherland? Also the only two teams currently with a SFA license and therefore eligible for promotion if they win the league (and any required play-off). How will The Fort adapt to their new 'surroundings'? Loch Ness v Orkney, who also have the honour of kicking off the league season, & St. Duthus v Halkirk Utd might also be interesting.
  12. Yeah, caught up with this thread this morning you're right.
  13. I wonder how many current South of Scotland clubs would be interested in the WoS Division 4 if there was a WoS Division 4 North and WoS Division 4 South? Of course you'd really need them all to be to make it viable. Forgetting the small issue of the SoS play-off place for the time being! [emoji51]
  14. So, any news on how many games teams will be playing?

  20. Congratulations to Camelon, a last minute winner see them get their first 3 points of the season. 0-1
  21. The 3:00pm kick off is maybe match of the day according to the extremely early league positions, Edinburgh College (3rd) v. Livingston Utd (4th). Can Edinburgh College keep up their 100% record? Or can Livingston Utd continue their good start? Bathgate (8th/3rd from bottom) v. Harthill Royal (10th/bottom). Can Bathgate get back to back wins after their terrible start?
