The youth academy and football golf day I really couldn’t care less about TBH. But again, each to their own. I just want a successful first team. But of course you’d announce sponsors etc so not sure what that griping is about. However frustrations can often spill onto other aspects. Also aware you can’t press gang people into signing a contract, give folk some credit as they understand that too. As for the coaching thing, the club set an expectation around a support structure so maybe people are expecting to see something in that area and asking questions when it doesn’t happen?

I’m not seeing pure rage. More frustration at having half a squad and premier league opponents/the league looming and those concerns being dismissed when they’re perfectly valid. You’re not worried - that’s fine. Some people are - also fine. Edited to say: Just watched IM post match and he too was saying how tough it is to get players but didn’t elaborate why. It’s still OK to be concerned about it.

Nope, I’m at a loss too. You can get away with it to extent when things are going well. It’s easy when you’re winning games. Less so when you’re not and, as someone said, frustrations start to build.

Bit more fan engagement might help with things sometimes. Dunfermline and Falkirk have done a fair bit ahead of season starting. We’re treated like mushrooms until it’s time to get the bank accounts out.

Seems like it’s everyone else’s fault we’ve not managed any decent signings in a couple of weeks.

Easton was kicking around the game (Dumbarton, Clyde, Forfar, Kelty) a long time before having the season he did with us. I’ll be interested to see how he gets on over a season in the championship and not peterhead. I don’t buy into this idea he’s some irreplaceable talent but hope he does well as I loved having him at airdrie.

What the f**k? The kid did really well in what can be a particularly exposed position, he was also managing an early yellow card. Had some really nice vision at times and excellent passing. Certainly didn’t do a whole lot wrong.

They’re competitive games as far as I’m concerned with the opportunity of a better draw/money spinner if you get through, if some people want to write that off then that’s fine. Two weeks to go until season kicks off proper and the excuses of it’s just pre-season are wearing a little bit thin with me. Get a squad sorted. Some players looked knackered and we couldn’t make a single sub. Counted four for Edinburgh.

Not sure 100% offering deals to players we saw last week fills me with confidence. There was probably only one stand out for me on Sunday (missed Saturday but heard Telfer did well) against a poor colts side, and a pre-season performance doesn’t always translate into a successful signing.

My lasting memory of Kieran is him basically not bothering his arse for a season before leaving for Raith and then playing like a man possessed. So quite happy not to have him back. Agree on terrible communication point. I moan about it every season.

How many do we actually have on board for Saturday if we take Salim out as he’s still injured? I think we’ve all been plenty patient, but I really would expect to have seen a few more by now…
