Saw this - also saw they’re in the stadium for a bucket collection at Arbroath game. Not sure what the story behind the match, but it appears the club is supporting them. Whatever the rationale, this isn’t the most professional way to go about things.

This team doesn’t have it in them for a relegation fight. Worst I’ve seen in years - I appreciate this is Findlay’s squad but Murray has done nothing to improve it or make them more organised in my opinion. It’s been the same dross since the Raith defeat early on. Absolutely raging at players that appear to have put a shift in for the cup tie and now vanished (with a couple of exceptions) and his loan signings have f*cking baffled me. Years of shite managerial appointments and boardroom chaos finally coming home to roost.

I’ll be there every Saturday I can as I have done for over 20 years. I do support the team. This team, past teams and the ones we don’t know about yet. They’d do better than to mouth off in front of everyone. If you have that opinion, share it in the car or at home.

Exactly. When they pay £16 to watch probably the worst game of football I've seen all season then I might listen to what they have to say. Otherwise they can clamp it.

I’m sure when the beat us earlier in the season it was the first away win in 40 odd games or something

Interesting to hear Murray saying he might look to fix the issues up front by the end of February. Really hope there’s some budget to do something, either that or all the loans were an attempt to bring the wage budget down rather than for spending elsewhere?

I’m not in the trust and don’t buy into anything - including this new ownership at the moment - but still respect what they’ve done and wouldn’t come on here to trash them or the committee. Same goes for the new owners, but doesn’t appear from your post that they have any problems with that as you seem to have some knowledge of the issues - they’ll lose more fans than they’ll gain if that’s their attitude.

Thanks for clarification. The only thing that leaves a sour taste for me is the suggestion the £10K would for shares would be taken if the KidAid money wasn’t paid. That’s poor if true.

Aye that does strike me as odd. That no one seemed to know or disclose that the KitAid money wasn’t coming in. Let’s try and get it sorted and give this new ownership a bit more time. I’m not interested in personalities or politics anymore, just a sustainable club that maybe does well again some day!

I’m not sure how it works at other clubs. Do they all have a seat at the top table or is the role just a link between fans and board?

I don’t know. I don’t know how exactly it was envisaged the role would work and why it’s not working out. I appreciate it probably wasn’t easy though. I guess tomorrow might bring some answers, although not for me as I’m not in the Trust.

It always struck me as a difficult tightrope to walk. I always thought of a fan rep on the board as someone who stands on the middle ground, independently, between the two.

I took to boycotting this cup when this format was introduced. It’s the only way to get it changed back to what it should be. A fantastic wee tournament that our fans valued. If you want to increase participation then expand it to the lowland leagues and highland leagues or juniors. Not often I’ll say this - but I’ll be rooting for you if they decide to replay this game.

As much I don’t want to throw my own club under a bus here. It’s the fans group that has come out against it at Airdrie. Club itself is a potential good guy.

I don't think ever I've ever read such a united thread on here - bar one or two who are in favour (fair play, but absolutely disagree). I'm pretty sure a 16-year-old sports science student could have written a better proposal paper than the one I've read, which so many have excellently taken apart. The idea of having Old Firm funded golden carrots dangled in from of L2 chairman to tempt them to go against the potential wishes of their fans has me f******g raging and quite frankly is one example of why I don't want them anywhere near our leagues.
