  1. The men and women who do have Rossvale at heart have done an amazing job in such a short space of time. I hope their model is sustainable as they have been a breath of fresh air.
  2. That’s your opinion mate and you call it as you see it. The tackle was a bit late and no more in mine. Yellow was a good call from the ref.
  3. Just shows the confusion the ref caused as we can’t agree on how many penalties were taken.
  4. Looks like you have turned a wee corner. Well done !
  5. Hurlford looked a really good outfit last night despite being a bit rusty at times. You can see why they compete for all the trophies. One thing I noticed about last night was the lack of bad tackles. A few mistimed ones but nothing really horrendous Thought the ref managed the game well except for his inability to count the number of penalties.
  6. Never mind the refs needing to learn the rules. They need to learn to count. The ref tried to stop the penalty shoot out after 4 pens despite the fact that Darvel could still draw level at that point. Cue the Hurlford goalie celebrating and many people leaving the ground. The ref didn’t look to chuffed when it was quite vigorously pointed out to him Min saying that the keeper did have right to celebrate when he saved the 4th penalty.
  7. Thought the back four were superb.
  8. I will stand corrected on the attendance.
  9. A decent game between two well matched teams. I’d estimate a crowd of over 400 tonight with the bar and pie stall doing a roaring trade. DL sure delivers when it comes to promotion of the game.
  10. Just arrived at Recreation Park and I must say it’s looking magnificent. The playing surface looks like a bowling green and the new shed is the business. Well done to all involved.
  11. So how did it go for the last 5 years.
  12. Was it for players with hearing difficulties
  13. Advantage should not be applied in situations involving serious foul play, violent conduct or a second cautionable offence unless there is a clear opportunity to score a goal. The referee must send off the player when the ball is next out of play, but if the player plays the ball or challenges/interferes with an opponent, the referee will stop play, send off the player and restart with an indirect free kick, unless the player committed a more serious offence. Good luck with the making an instant decision on the second Cautionable offence bit. I’ve been at games with upwards of 8 or 9 yellow cards and the referees can hardly keep track using their notebook never mind making an instant decision.
  14. Wait till they start winning and the vitriol will be spilling out of some people on here.
  15. Guy standing on one leg at an ATM outside the bank looking a bit agitated. Asked him if he was ok. Said he was just checking his balance.
