The Diddyship League Title
Hawkeye the Gnu replied to johnnydun's topic in Scottish Premiership General Chatter
Hearts are just too big for this league and the real diddies are holding them back. A move to the English leagues should be next. -

Gadz is definitely only an Ayrshire saying but a lovely beautifully descriptive one. I have never heard of Haneck so would assume it’s known in the south of the county only. , -
Shocking if the final’s in Airdrie if two East Ayrshire teams are playing each other.

Richey, that’s a terrific post. Just emphasised the importance of having football in our lives and supporting your local team. -

Kilmarnock v Hibernian

Hibs number 20, ? Emiliano, looks like he could be some player. He was all over the park dragging opponents, then when in space calling for the ball only to be seemingly ignored by his teammates in the first half. Involved much more second half. Once his teammates catch up with his style of play and actually pass to him, he will be a real asset. As for the red card…………..clearly got the ball first, then his opponent. It wasn’t malicious or dangerous play but I’d accept the yellow, but NEVER a red. I could almost understand it if the ref gave the red at first, but having had the chance to watch it again….Jeezus wept. VAR not to blame here. Incompetent referees. -

Just to further stink your manky wee place oot……for some reason my last post went missing. Thanks Ryanair 1987 for making me aware and repost. Killiefan getting blasted as a hunn just because he feels the same as most of the country outwith the east end of Glasgow, and now South Ayrshire, is quite a stretch. Broon was always a controversial character as a player but I fully believe he will now put all that nonsense behind him and go on to be a decent manager. Good luck to him. On Sanders, I believe you have signed a real gem. Unfortunately for him we are very strong in the centre of defence at the minute. Hope he does really well for our wee county cousins -

From his posts on here, I’d suggest he lacks capacity and should have a full time carer. -

He’s from Tarbolton FFS. There’s NEVER been a Tory coming from there. -
The leg room at most of RP is absolutely shocking. when the new stands went up I spent the first year in the East Stand but quickly moved across to the FB where the leg room is absolutely fine. Pillars are a nightmare tho. Bobby Fleeting did so much good for our club but this was not his finest decision.

All of the above are correct IMO but it’s the last one that stands out for me. Referees used to have it drummed into them from the start (I assume it still is) that you don’t make impulsive decisions, rather you take a few seconds to consider what has happened, and what the correct decision should be before blowing your whistle or waving cards around. Collum, unfortunately has never managed to do this.

What’s the point tho. Every time we play Dundee it’s always the same patter, junkies, circles, Marvin and Dayna. Surprised there’s been no mention of Liz McColgan yet tho. -

News just in. Sevcos now unused penalty has apparently just been donated to St Mirren. -
Mighty QP v The streets of Raith
Hawkeye the Gnu replied to spiders4ever's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Don’t know about nowadays, but I would be surprised if they aren’t encouraged to act as a team but I suspect it’s down to egos. Wee men with big whistles etc. As Wardy posted earlier, it’s down to the ref to give pre match instructions to the assistants, either help me out if I miss something or simply stick to offsides and throw ins, I’m in charge. Rarely, unless there’s something obvious and serious like an off the ball incident, are they asked to put their flag up. This was the case when I was actively involved, don’t know if anything’s changed over the past 20 years. -

As an ex ref myself, I fully agree with you. We were always told we were the third team on the pitch and if the ref chooses to ignore his assistants as many do, they are just making their job harder and reducing the quality of decision making. The added advantage for the ref in this case is that if the decision is wrong he can always blame his assistant…….. -
Kilmarnock v Motherwell

Kettlebell did some power of moaning. In the 4th officials face throughout the 90 minutes constantly complaining about nothing. Greetin faced Cnut.
