  1. That would be absolute shitbaggery from the SPFL. Not to say that isn't exactly what they'd want tbf
  2. Fair enough. In that case it would be exactly as easy as getting back up is right now.
  3. Pretty sure it would be marginally easier to return with three leagues. Firstly, there would be 0.75 promotion places, rather than the 0.5 at the moment. And, a LL East or LL West should be easier to win than a unified LL.
  4. The top 4's a top 5 now IMO. Quite fancy Montrose to take Falkirk next week.
  5. Aye, I'm sure I remember him playing as an attacking mid against us at some point last season. Hilarious mis-management, from I assume Findlay.
  6. Absolute fantasy land stuff from Stevie Farrell there I'm afraid. Most managers will come and give pretty raw interviews in the wake of a defeat but I haven't seen anything as delusional as that this season. The only difference between Stranraer and East Fife is that East fife score goals? Well, apart from the fact that Stranraer have also conceded almost double the number of goals that East Fife have this season.
  7. Always thought Millar was the big loss for us and big gain for you guys when you took him, Page and Wilkie back in 2017. He's a cracking player that probably won't get noticed much by opposition supporters as it's not always obvious just how much he's giving to the team unless you're watching him every week.
  8. Aye, not pretty stuff at all but a really hard fought win. The first half was the worst half of football I've seen this season by some distance. Both teams went 5 in the middle and if was more or less just an over-congested scrap with nobody getting any time on the ball and very few chances created by either team. It very much had the feel of a first goal's the winner type game. Second half wasn't much better but did open up a bit after Ross Davidson scored an excellent goal that snuck in at the keeper's near post. It was a bit more end to end after that, still with neither team creating many clear chances. a moment of comedy sealed the win as a Stranraer defender tried to take the ball round Ryan Wallace as he was lying down in the box. The defender ran straight into him, the ball broke for Dunsmore who just squared it to Agnew for an open goal. Plus points are that we scrapped for the points in an awful game, something we haven't always been able to do this season. The defence looked very solid, Stranraer managed to create very little despite having a decent amount of the ball in our third and launching plenty of balls into the box. I was wondering why Stranraer were so detached in 10th after a decent display at Bayview earlier this season. They're clearly a team who can battle it out but it doesn't look like they've got too much more than that. Seen most teams twice now and Stranraer look like the team with the least football in them. I'd be surprised if they stayed up.
  9. The second goal will definitely appear on a blooper reel somewhere.
  10. Tom Harris is a gammon lunatic. He'd the last labour figure that's switch.
  11. Obviously angling for a move to Queen's Park now that they're going pro.
  12. Just heard Jo Swinson refer to herself as a "radical liberal" in an interview from earlier this year.
  13. On a big red bus. Always makes me laugh when people demand minute intricate details on Ian independent Scotland would be, but will vote for Boris if he plasters a huge obvious lie on a bus and his election campaign revolved around lying about his NHS recruitment and"get Brexit done" zero fucking details but the gammons lap it up Exactly. Stuff like that's a red herring. The people screaming for it have no intention of changing tehir mind, no matter what's put in front of them. We shouldn't get caught up in it.
  14. It's degrees though. You can certainly take a more radical position on any of those things or a less radical one. I think a Labour party that tries to take what's seen as a more radical stance on too wide a range of issues is doomed to fail in England. If Labour had a sensible Brexit position and took strong positions on these three issues, I think they'd have been in with a shout. The drip drip effect of "let's nationalise electricity", "let's offer free internet", "let's do this" just scares off too many people.
  15. This is it. As much as we might all think we're entirely logical decision making machines. Everyone cherry picks data to make their case sound better. The research is clear on stuff like this. People are not convinced to change their minds by a studious run through and rigorous debate of the facts and figures. They have to be moved to a place where they become open to the arguments. And like it or not, that's all down to how they feel.
  16. Those are hardly radical social democratic policies though. Even most Tories would be happy to vote for a manifesto that says it wants to deal with those things. I don't think Labour are as fucked as some people think. Most of their problems are of their own making. They got squeezed by Brexit because they took a position that appealed to nobody. Like it or not, 'get it done' appelas to everyone who voted Leave and a fair chunk of folk who voted remain but have made peace with teh result and want to move on. I don't think yesterday was some ringing endorsement of 'Johnsonism' as much as it was a response to Brexit and a rejection of Corbyn. I don't think Labour will win an election in England by promising to nationalise multiple industries, hand out money to the WASPI women, make internet free and make the UK carbon neutral by 2030. Anecdotally, more than a few potential Labour voters were put of by the ide aof paying more inheretinace tax and stuff like that. Get in a leadership team who understand that you pick your battles without selling out and they can come back. Corbyn's leadership has been one long example in gormless incompetence though.
  17. Very busy at my polling place in Edinburgh South West an hour ago. Not many 'Tory looking' types about.
  18. First time voting in a Scottish constituency in a UK GE today. One shiny new vote for the only show in town coming up.
  19. I heard they've used all the memory in the sky box filling it with repeats of 'Danny Dyer's hardest men'. Sad to see.
  20. Brett Long didn't play at TFS. I'm sure he'll be glad to see he's got you absolutely rattled though.
  21. Watched the Manchester derby. Wasn't as good as the game at Bayview today IMO.
