I was really fearful in the first 20 mins or so, they are a big strong team who can play a bit too. But we built into the game well, and I think Seagal made the difference when he came on. The referee was terrible throughout. and last thing...what chippie do you go to in Stonehaven? -

I don't think I'll ever get over the irony of folk having a moan about stuff and then complaining about snowflakes. -

Can't believe Rico's word is being doubted on this...solidarity to him and hope the club's investigation is swift and conclusive. -

We also usually find a way to lose any important games when we manage to get a crowd in. I am definitely in the camp of not being arsed to go online and buy the tickets. So, atmosphere at game, general atmosphere around the club, failing to follow the shite camera every club had last season so losing some interest, price up, online purchase only. That's my reasons. I'm sure I'll be back sooner rather than later; it's not a "planned" absence or anything. -

Not keen on any of the kits this year, although the 3rd is best of a bad lot. However, who gives a monkeys? Fantastic to see us start with some decent results, hopefully we'll get off to a flying start in the league. -

Well that part's now been answered. Baffling decision unless it's to cut costs by allowing a striker to move on. -

I don't think the squad is anything special, but the system is rotten too. -
65th minute, first real footballing move by Airdrie.

I'd love if deuchar could talk his shite about six inches further away from the mic

Pretty disappointing stuff, all set play, no football, and defence is shaky. Fingers crossed for a half time shake up.

I'm ambivalent about Murray, but you've hit on the issue with him - we have no consistency. I said it a few times last season, we had one 5 game winning streak but apart from that we only won 2 in a row twice. We are capable of beating most teams and that's what makes it frustrating. Having said that, we've definitely improved defensively under him and it will only take a tweak or two to get that balance between goals and clean sheets. Here's hoping we get it right next week. -

Well that was disappointing. 10 players from last season too I think?

Partick Thistle vs Airdrieonians

1-0 Airdrie, possibly 1-1. really can't see more than two goals in the game. -
Much better second half, few nice moves after a first half that was heavy going. The commentary was decent, but found it difficult to get into the game, had the same with the Kelty game too. Can't beat actually being there.

10 points from last 15, finally getting there. not a great game, disjointed at times but the win was the important thing here. -
f**k sake mate play the game, I'm reaching for my noose here.

delighted to see DY winning manager of the month as this is what cursed our good run when IM was given it. Airdrie win 2-0.

My mantra is consistency is key for the rest of the season. Of course, when I say consistency I actually mean putting together another 5 game run like we did in Oct/Nov. The problem is, our actual consistency of performances is mid table form. i.e. if we hadnt won those 5 games and had instead picked up points in the way we have done across the rest of the season, we'd have 7 fewer points and be in 6th place. 1x5 game run 2x2 game run are the only winning runs we've put together all season. So really we need to perform at a level that we've only managed once before, and there's 10 games to do it in. Changes need to be made. Midfield is the clear problem and has been for years. Murray is only the latest manager who has been tasked with sorting it out. I have my views on the strikers but to be fair unless the midfield is firing then it's almost irrelevant. If we lose on Saturday then realistically the best we can hope for is to limp in to 4th place.
