  1. If it was anything like the blatant dive earlier by either 22 or 23 in the middle then no pen. Durnham has a boy wrestle him to the ground in your box and also dived for a header with your player going with him with a grip of his shirt. Both seemed more of a penalty to me. Your boy diving in two footed, studs up and getting a yellow was also far worse than Hendersons challenge on the keeper. Even your first goal was a foul on Big Andy , he was pulled back round neck/shoulder before the pass back catastrophe. We were bad today, no getting away for that but you’ll never get all the refs decisions like that again. Officials were atrocious today. Hi Waspie, So the poster above didn’t want to talk about the referee! He is just complaining about your ex-manager.
  2. Who is getting worked up? It’s Alloa fans who are wearing the blinkers and griping about the officials thinking that all the big decisions went against them. I suppose EF could say that we could have had another penalty when Connell was in a very good scoring position and looked like ha was fouled but we won’t. Like I said in a previous post the only consistent thing about referees in leagues one and two is their inconsistency.
  3. I would also add the reckless swing connecting with the goalkeepers head to the above.
  4. Surely Alloa themselves are the worst team to win at the recs for years. Yes/no?
  5. I get the impression from Jack and Victor on the highlights that they were not impressed with the referee!
  6. I’m afraid to break it to you Alloa guys but when you are in Leagues one and two you are going to come up against shitty referees oftener than not. We have had a large share of them so far this season. So wipe away the tears and get on with it.
  7. Would hope that there would be more than the 200 supporters mentioned above at the game tomorrow to honour Dave Marshall, Vice-Chairman and a lifelong East Fife diehard.
  8. Three weeks ago we were forced to play a 17 year old goalkeeper against Cove because of players isolating, Gallacher was able to return last week against Montrose and so played yesterday. Goalkeeper Smith I assume was still isolating last week and possibly this week as well. I do think he is a better goalkeeper than Gallacher but the defence in front of them doesn’t help either of them.
  9. Lot of fans liked him but for me he definitely wasn’t a penalty box striker and for the size of him I can’t remember a headed goal of note
  10. So will Falkirk who he is on loan from at the moment. Personally I thought he was a bit over-rated and goals to games ratio was poor.
  11. No Smith(gk), Gallacher(gk), Murdoch, D. Higgins, Dunlop, McManus, K Smith, Swanson, Wallace, Connell?…..
  12. Astounded at East Fife’s line up and 3 subs, third choice goalkeeper with no back up on the bench, no out and out striker, 3 subs two of which are from under 20’s. What’s happening.
  13. Let’s wait and see when you guys play Kelly Hearts next season.
  14. Maybe all this negativity around Dowds is down to The club not the player. Remember you took Austin from us, benched him and now he is scoring for fun in Kelly’s colours, 15 so far this season.
  15. That one’s been tried already but you never know some Falkirk fans might fall for it.
  16. “Game we were winning called off” Did nobody tell you it was 3-1 East Fife when it was stopped!!!!!!!
  17. Don’t think the game would be postponed at the moment. It is foggy but I reckon you would be able to see from one end of a pitch to the other!!!!!
  18. If that’s the case I sincerely apologise and hope he makes a speedy recovery.
  19. Right let’s mention the elephant in the room. Nobody seems to be mentioning Ryan Wallace so is he injured or off in a huff puff AGAIN?????
  20. Come on all you guys let’s have some rumours/suggestions for our next manager. We don’t want managing failures such as Naysmith, Peter Grant, Solsjaer etc so come up with credible names.
  21. Thought I would watch the highlights before passing judgement but now I am of the opinion that it was not a yellow. Not totally blaming the referee but I think that considering the amount and point of contact on Easton, for him to jump with both legs together and fall like a sack of spuds was out and there was only one thought in his mind which was to get Millar a caution.
  22. One of the things I can remember Easton for was when he was with Forfar he threw himself to the ground clutching his face when all around except the referee saw that there was absolutely no contact whatsoever, however he succeeded in what he set out to achieve and got his opponent sent off. A very poor example of sportsmanship.
  23. Sorry can’t agree that Alan Newlands is one of the better referees going around the lower leagues, mind you thought that about Andrew Dallas as well and look where he is now. Does he know someone in high places by any chance. Although I would Stress that Airdrie were well worth the three points, as a former referee myself, I thought the ref allowed some obvious fouls to play on ( a new directive from ref bosses not to be picky) and when he blew for fouls he gave them the wrong way. To the guy who got stuck down the front, I am afraid that’s your own young fans to blame for commandeering the back rows. However Airdrie played some nice football at times and have made themselves a hard team to get the better of. Will be right up there at end of season. Hope the Fife are able to play themselves out the mire though.
  24. Agree with above post that both camera work and commentators (although slightly Jack and Victorish)were very good on the QP highlights. Well done guys.
