  1. Re above about Ross Davidson. Last game of last season he was there with leg in a moonboot. He will be still recovering from that so might be a few weeks yet but I’m sure he will be worth the wait.
  2. Yes Sirscottyoung that makes sense now but he did mention being 2-0 down at half time. Senior moment!!!
  3. Couldn’t disagree more, the first half was awful to watch. Buckie capitalised on 2 defensive mistakes and looked like scoring every time they attacked. EF had one very good chance in first half through Millar but keeper stopped it with his foot and it was cleared. Second half was better but in saying that Buckie should have equalised in injury time when no 6 blasted over from inside 18 yd box and yes we could have been out of site by then going by chances made Jude Smith almost lost a goal in the first half by being well out of his goal. Wish he wouldn’t stray so far out at times We seemed to miss a right back in the first half because Buckie were getting a lot of room on that wing and causing problems. Pat Slattery seemed a bit in the way where he was playing caused second goal when he and Steele got in each other’s way. Would say Miller is better sitting in front of defence. Williamson was steady most of the time but gave away first goal with wayward pass. Healy tried to do too much should lay the ball off more, Newton was anonymous, Walls the pick of the bunch. Up front, Shepherd ran until he was subbed, his tireless running got the goal to get us back in the game. 2nd and 3rd goals almost identical from Mercer, long throw from Steele and deft headers low into corner of net. Teams will cotton on to that quickly in the league. All in all first half diabolical, second half much better (Schiavone seemed to push us up a gear), but worrying for the upcoming league challenge especially following the goad Alloa result.
  4. Yes last 20/25 minutes were a non event cos as well as you guys being down to 10 players we were by then playing with a team of 17/18 year olds.
  5. Why is there no info coming through regarding team selection especially from yesterday. There are some of us who just cannot travel to away games due to health reasons. The home game against Civil Service Strollers the whole team bar 2 trialists was changed at half time when the under 20,s were substitutes. I can see that it may be breaking in the first team for the new season so you won’t see any start of a settled team in these circumstances. As for yesterday the only thing I can take from team selection is that Scott Mercer was playing as one of only two tweets on the club website said he scored our goal.
  6. And where can you find 3 or 4 decent players at this stage in the season surely anybody worth their salt will be snapped up by now. I will stand corrected if you can name anyone of note who would come into the available decent player category.
  7. That’s his waste size, he is only 5’6” tall
  8. Was it not Burntisland Shipyard that Nathan Laird played for last season and also he played against East Fife in the 15 x 0 game which was last close season.
  9. You mention 8 players who have experience, Murdoch, McManus and Trouten missed large parts of last season through injury so that makes it 5 experience players if they are not fully injury free yet and any further injuries or suspensions.
  10. The under 20’s were a very young team last year ie 17/18 year olds. Doubt if they would be ready to are the step up.
  11. And were last seasons figures based on last season’s prices????
  12. Jack Healy came back from loan to East Stirling in transfer window and Adam Mansouri replaced him there. Prior to that he was with under20’s.
  13. This is the second week of training on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays!! I think that the under 20’s train at same times ( probably gonna need some of them to bolster the squad!!!!!!! Got to be one of the worst close season for signings in a long time. As for the season ticket prices, so much for donations, “go fund me” page etc as regards to loyalty and so on as we get hit with probably the highest prices in this division and higher than some in the divisions above. The higher ST price is certainly not reflected in the player signings although it probably will be in the attendance figures.??????
  14. I read in one of the previous posts that Wallace is your only out and out striker. Just thought I would say that he did not play as an out and out striker but behind the main striker!
  15. “Lack of information coming out of Bayview” Could it be that there is nothing to report, no new signings, nobody on contract left the club. First friendly game next Tuesday so far there is Shepherd, Fleming and Trouten to add to already contracted players minus Wallace of course. Quite a few under 20’s training with first team I hear. Still never mind might be a rash of big signings by the weekend (not).
  16. Neilly, be honest, would you be happy to pay out for a season ticket and then see a player in your team who looked as though he couldn’t be bothered, that’s when he decided he wanted to be on the park, and also be disruptive with teammates.
  17. The seethe comes from the players attitude all of last season. He fell out with Darren Young and went out of the game due to “work commitments” then missed several weeks of the run in when we were in a desperate situation with injuries with an “injury” and in between times he was noticeably having a go at teammates during games when he was hardly playing at the top of his game himself. A real let down when all said and done. Not someone you would want beside you in the trenches to coin an old saying.
  18. L No doubt Wallace expressed a desire to leave a wee while ago probably as far back as during the run in last season when he allegedly had an injury and was out for weeks!!!!! I am guessing that the board, having paid Arbroath a fee for him were not going to just let him off the hook therefore “a deal was done” recently.
  19. You are correct about the Ballingry move and how long did they last??????
  20. If Wallace was so determined to get away, I would hope that the club would get Wallace himself to buy out his contract and not wait around for some team to buy him. Bin him as soon as possible. I would imagine that teammates will not be bothered as he continually looked like he was having a go at others around him!!!
  21. Now that our numbers are actually reducing with the Wallace scenario, we could do with a shot in the arm and get a few really good signings. At the moment we are relying on a number of young guys from the under 20,s to make a decent squad number. They may be future prospects but we need a bit of quality to be around them and bring them on. Two of our three signings so far are Trouten, mid thirties, Fleming, mid to late thirties and Shepherd. These three need to be added to with a bit of quality for league 2 os I dread to think where we are headed.
  22. Wallace did not play as a striker for us over the last couple of seasons more playing behind the striker as his very low goal tally will show.
  23. Have a look at the East Fife site before you go wishing for that signing???????
