  1. Still don’t agree! Yes our three home defeats have been against other sides in the upper echelon of the league but should we not be looking to win these games. If not then we surely are punching above our weight being in the top half of the league. If you take the time to look at previous games on EFTV and see the chances missed by the opposition then you might change your mind.
  2. Don’t agree at all. We are punching above our weight being in the top half of league two. We have won one out of of four home games and that was an injury time penalty!! We have been extremely fortunate in our away games as Albion Rovers, Elgin, Stranraer and Annan will undoubtedly agree. We have four on loan players all 18 years old or under. Our tactics are such that we are playing with a back three and are continually vulnerable down our right hand side. so all in all I for one am not sad to see Crawford leave.
  3. Any hints as to what the Stevie Crawford rumours are about as mentioned in previous post?
  4. Although Bonnyrigg hit 3 past us without reply and Dumbarton got 1 in our 2 home defeats so far I can’t see anything other than a Dumbarton win.
  5. Wallace doesn’t need someone to provoke him as per the time when he challenged a fan to a square go in the car park after a game.
  6. Yeh agree that our options are limited, and also agree that Schiavone gave us a little bit more dig but really didn’t look like scoring. Could do with a couple more signings but are the right players out there.
  7. I think yesterdays found us out badly. We play the ball along the back line well enough but there is no outlet other to hoist it up the park. We lack a midfielder to take the ball off the back three and burst forward with it to feed forwards. We do not have height up front to be hoisting it up the park from the back although Shepherd tries hard to get underneath it but generally lacks support. Th first goal at Stranraer, the Dumbarton goal and the shot that hit the post soon after all came from the right back position so I would suggest that a back three isn’t working. We really did not look like scoring yesterday after we went behind. All in all yesterdays game was one of the worst I have sat through from a footballing point of view.
  8. In saying wouldn’t really put it past him to be on the scoresheet.
  9. Don’t think Wallace is an out and out/main striker these days. Last 2 seasons with us when he could be bothered playing he seemed content to sit deeper and let Connell do the running upfront hence scored very few goals over his time at Bayview.
  10. Omar is not at East Fife. He did make an appearance in a pre season friendly but never seen again.
  11. Gallacher has had his finger operation and should be back in training soon. I’m in no doubt that we will be going with Fleming as first choice , Gallacher as second choice. The 20’s keeper is only 16/17 so should not be pitched into any league game at his age and experience although we did do it last year with Liam Campbell at Cove but he was let go at end of last season. In response to another post, Sam Dunham is a real find and is doing very well with Aaron Steele in centre of defence. Wouldn’t be surprised if he gets another shot at a higher level.
  12. Still think it’s an unnecessary poke at the board when they are trying to do something positive in the community. Damned if they do, damned if they don’t.
  13. Hi likewise I have followed your example and deleted my post. It too was unnecessary. May the best team win on Saturday.
  14. You guys are lucky that you only might have to pay East Fife entry fee twice at most. EF do have some very loyal supporters who may have to pay the inflated prices 18 times this season.
  15. Surely it makes sense to keep all the community club’s kids together and the only place for this is at the away end where away team support do not require a large section.
  16. Think it might be you that’s got the needle after that response.
  17. Aw do we not have enough fields for your tractors and combine harvesters.
  18. Do we not need a couple of real experienced players who have been round the block a few times rather than yet another youngster. Did we not learn anything from last weeks game when we got badly outmuscled and pushed off the ball.
  19. Although I think that hiking up the entry prices was a bad decision what I would say is that If any of the guys who are saying that there was not a cheep out of the club for the hike, had bothered to go to the club’s open day there was a question and answer firstly with the manager and then the chairman and other members of the board who tried to justify the price hike. I believe that a resume of that q and a session was posted on the website for people who didn’t go.
  20. Totally agree with The Moonster about £18. The true supporters rallied round contributing to a go fund me page during lockdown and are rewarded with an extortionate hike in prices. The chairman tries to justify the hike by reeling off running costs of the the club, well all clubs are in the same boat there, and he also tries to justify the hike by saying that prices haven’t risen for a few seasons and will probably stay at this level for a few seasons to come. Perhaps a minimal increase year on year would have been easier to swallow than a hike of said magnitude.Anyway hope they don’t stay the same in coming seasons to come cos who knows what league we will be in??????
  21. Going by a few posts in the EF v Bonnyrigg thread from other team fans re price of entry to games at Bayview, I think we will be looking at a sparse away end at most league games this season. Why don’t the powers that be at Bayview just come out and admit that they have shot themselves in the foot in this instance. I for one haven’t renewed my season ticket this season.
  22. Anyone know how the u20’s kicked off their league campaign last night?
