He flitted between both really but mainly RB IIRC. Was our Player of the Season too, surprised to hear he didn't kick on with you. Would happily take him back. No Oakley tonight.....oh dear. Wilson starting is a positive at least.

Grimshaw has been a big loss this season. The defender merry-go-round earlier in the season didn't help either (Harkness being a case in point). This season has been much worse for injuries. The first third we had a threadbare squad, rolling with 3 subs only at times. Strapp re-signing was a catalyst to that tremendous run, plus actually having consistency in the roster too. Final third, Oakley and Wilson have been huge misses and no coincidence that our midfield and defence became as water tight as our nets as a result of Wilson being out. Would be nice to finish the last 4 on a high with everyone back now.....unless Strapp is still out. Dougie - bench Broadfoot please.

A positive part I took was the recognition of the lack of progress on the commercial side of things. The land next to the cowshed amongst that. that lack of resource being a major factor but, that this is an area they want to remain in pursuit of. With the increase of the money from the investors and hopefully the improved League standing and prize money from that, could help to progress that further...for longer term sustainability. It would be interesting to see what those ideas are that the mentioned.

We played well, I'm proud of that. First 10-15 mins of the first half, was like watching us Vs Motherwell. After that, could tell we were missing Oakley and Wilson's pressing. That being said, we closed Hearts down well. Second half was more like it, and it was only when we got leggy with no subs we lost out. The bench was like the start of the season and scarily light. Gordon pulled off some great saves, especially from Strapp. Mullen didn't have to much to do til nearer the end but looked like his view was blocked for the goal from what I could tell on the TV. Strapp, Power and Blues ran their socks off and the back line held strong. Ref imho wasn't actually that bad for a change. But seeing and hearing Cappielow rocking all night was tremendous. Time to secure the playoffs. Looking forward to hospitality for the last game v Raith. Mon eh Ton.

Agreed. The replays are a great touch. Commentary, pretty fair on decisions. When we do any match streams we miss it. Or at least I do. Overall no complaints. Good price too.

Yeah I read that as the award was the curse itself, not the aftermath.... But yeah, I agree with what's been said somewhere before, about the team under having good/bad streaks and hopefully this isn't the end. Can't deny though the sum of our parts has been tremendous.

You mean this one? Like others have said, the run is expected to end. But I think we'll still be fired up and looking to build a solid cushion. Queens have had better weeks recently though and last week will have given much needed confidence. Expecting a slight drop off in our performance though, but hopefully the extra day helps that. Can see this being a draw. 2-2

Could split hairs and say that this could have been mentioned sooner/or worded the original post different but.....that's academic. Yeah, but there is always the potential for a sudden downpour, it is Greenock. The fact they are considering it is different, I barely recall that corner ever really being used. When we beat Peterhead to win League One I think was last time I saw it. I've been reading on our forum about multiple gantries potentially being used too, which would reduce capacity also, and possibly the reason for the ticket office not being open too but this is a bit hearsay at the moment. Also maybe staff are being pulled to operate hand scanners. Dales post does little to clarify fully, which although to be fair to him, he's done more than the club have done in recent years. I think the clubs post could have added more detail, a few lines to explain more. We don't need a step by step plan.

My post above from Dale would imply it's mainly due to the potential of fans moving around from the WDE to the corner/end of the Cowshed and the associated segregation. I remember seeing somewhere (I could be wrong) that they agreed a smaller gantry which would impact less. Edit to add: I do agree though that the mention of the ticket office not being open today could have been voiced sooner though.

Off topic but the newest Terrace Podcast largely about the Championship has a decent bit about Morton and Imrie. First 20 mins or so. Was pretty fair I thought, talks about their thoughts on the "big bad physical" take on things.

I'd argue "The Saints/Saintees" is lazier and unimaginative etc. There's plenty of more examples.

It's a banana skin for Motherwell, they aren't doing too well.....We're on decent form and at home, has that novelty. Is it more exciting than Partick v Livi, possibly....Livi are dire, but as above, the same could be said about Partick...in terms good form and at home, they disposed of Ross County. Caley were mince the other Friday on TV so, Vs Hibs....nah. Asides from Killie at home to Brora or Cove (if it ever goes ahead) the rest are meh, in my opinion. Regardless, I'm happy with it on the TV being Outwith Greenock. I reckon it'll be close, but 2-1 us... Kettlewell to have a meltdown. Edit: Hibs playing on the Wednesday before so that makes sense.

One or two changes as expected but still putting a strong side out, good to see. Good to see Quitongo starting. I expect if we can get a good lead, some changes to get minutes in the legs( O'Boy, Bearne etc) later on. 3-1 'Ton

From the Tele' MORTON boss Dougie Imrie is laying foundations for the future after securing the signatures of two midfielders ahead of this week's Scottish Cup tie against Montrose. The Cappielow boss has agreed terms with loanee Iain Wilson to stay at the club for the next 18 months, while also thrashing out a deal to secure promising academy graduate Logan O'Boy until May 2025. Wilson has been in fine form of late after coming back to Cappielow for a second spell, on loan from League One outfit Queen of the South. Imrie and his ex-Livingston colleague Marvin Bartley, who is now in charge at Dumfries, have come to an agreement which will see Wilson join Ton permanently. After a slow start to his loan, building up his fitness after an ankle injury picked up in pre-season, the big midfielder has established himself as one of the first names on Imrie's team sheet. Meanwhile O'Boy has put pen to paper on first professional contract. His current apprenticeship had been due to come to a close at the end of this season. The youngster made his first team debut against Bo'ness United in the Scottish Cup third round at the end of November, scoring a stunning goal to round off a 4-0 victory over the Lowland League side. The 18-year-old was then kept in and around the first team environment and given another chance to prove his worth in the closing stages of the 3-0 victory over Ayr United on January 2.

Great win, very deserving. Glad to see Robbie with the Hat trick, 2nd and 3rd goals were peaches... Solid back play and should have maybe been 2 up within first 15-20 mins. Apart from a 10-15 spell in the first half, Ayr didn't threaten much and got Very frustrated towards the end of the 2nd half. Very happy with yet another clean sheet. Glad to see a positive cameo from Jai. Speaking of cameo's, special mention to McGeady.... Airdrie winning the only damp patch on the results elsewhere. Next two matches will be a solid test of where we've come.

Yeah I swapped over then cast to tv. Glad I did, quality has dropped in the last few months but still managed to catch most of it.
