  1. Ok now I'm pissed but Arthurlie deserved that in. No complaints. Just looking forward to promotion looking Great game. Great crowd, great organisation
  2. Congratulations to Arthurlie. Better team in second half. Well done Burgh for the organisation. Thanks to the supporters of both teams. It was a great occasion
  3. Still 2-1 To Arthurlie. 10 mins to go. Open ended game.
  4. Beith number 6 the man of the match for me. Great midfield battle between two well organised teams. Talbot's number 6 and 8 had good games until they came off. Beith number 11 also did well carrying ball forward. Good goals by both players. Both defences probably not the best I've seen but the covering midfielders did very well, especially Beith number 6. Is he under contract next season?Asking for a friend.... Talbot's ground very impressive and sets a standard most Clubs should emulate. Steak Pies well worth £3
  5. Obsessed more with Johnstone Burgh than your own Club. Obsessed with another Club spending more money than yours. Obsessed with the anxiety of Burgh getting promoted. I've come down to see Auchinleck v Beith and I'll watch both teams before commenting on the Premier thread. It's thanks to Burgh for rekindling my interest in Lower League football that I'm here and spending money travelling to away grounds.
  6. Can we please put this crap to rest. Neither Johnstone Burgh Football Club or it's supporters have demonstrated any sectarianism this season. We do not have Loyal Flags or are called Johnstone Burgh Rangers. Supporters of other teams have come together to Keanie Park and supported the Burgh and enjoyed seeing entertaining games although recent results may have been unfavorable. Religion and bigotry does not come into it at all. If you're upset by dates then go see a doctor. Our supporters have travelled in good numbers to away games and been well received. Never heard anything about sectarianism directed towards us. St Roch's were very friendly. This drivel of who said what and when and any hidden messages is created by people who don't go to matches and are besotted by the Old Firm. As for the jealousy of a team that was really struggling now being supported by money men... get over it or see a doctor about what's occupying your mind. Junior football is dead and buried. Committees of every Club do fantastic jobs but their way of working will no doubt change in future as more money men pump money into WOSFL and EOSFL Clubs. Ambition and planning is what drives Clubs forward. Successful Clubs carry the supporters with them. Who doesn't want their football Club to be the best they can be and reach a higher level. Some Clubs like Kilwinning prefer to do it gradually and bring on the under 20s. Other Clubs will make a profit from selling players and feeding the money back into the Club. Many Clubs have an established system of working. Johnstone Burgh didn't. It needed investment both on and off the pitch. Over the last six years they gradually improved and started to get Community support and then got huge investment last year to give them a bigger push. If Auchinleck, Darvel, Pollock and Clydebank want to move up the Leagues, then why not Johnstone Burgh, Drumchapel or Shotts? Bigotry does not come into it. End of.
  7. Surface anything but glorious today. Burgh lost midfield battle today in terms of being second to every loose ball. Wingers not helping central midfielders out enough. Rossiter didn't see enough of the ball. Darren Christie came on at half time but didn't influence game in any way. Opposition getting wise now to Burgh style and Burgh need to mix up their gameplay a bit more. Burgh didn't do enough to win the game for me. Well done Kilbirnie for sticking at it. Cracking free kick for first goal.
  8. St Cadoc's showed today they are a good side going forward. Took their goals well and dominated midfield early on. Their defence however opened gaps for Burgh. Going from a 4 at back to 3 at back several times. Hard fought game that showed Burgh what to expect if hopefully they get promoted
  9. Burgh win on penalties after 3-3 draw
  10. This is a link to 2023 Champion Aim Here's far superior spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yfhdssUxqb8bZfMcgZKdPigZNqp83pJHRVdMR23MnyY
  11. Re Matthew Perry dying from Ketamine....I saw somewhere else it was listed as an accident. It's also stated that Ketamine was a known treatment for Depression but Perry had coronary disease also. So I'd maybe be debating the extra points if it affected the final ranking. But if it doesn't then sod it, I'm sure he knew what risks he was taking and was almost inevitable. Reminds me of some current pop stars
  12. Just tried to buy my ticket and it's saying sold out. Colin Weir Stand capacity is 1,825. Interesting to see if it's truly sold out or for what reason you can't purchase a ticket on match day.
  13. I've come across a free teamsheet from Forfar v Montrose on 11/1/86. It was issued in place of the Programme as the game wasn't expected to go ahead because of bad weather. Secretary David McGregor said it was only the second time since 1975 that there was no programme issued. Lots of familiar na

Secretary David McGregor said it was only the second time since 1975 that there was no programme issued. Lots of familiar names on the sheet. Craig Brewster being probably being one of the most unlucky not to get a Scotland call up after he left Forfar.
  15. I was there. Would-be professionals against has-been fatties and the fatties won. Looked like Burgh players had been on the bevvy last night. Midfield distribution was awful. Maybole keeper didn't have much to do. But credit to Maybole. They got men behind the ball and counterattacked well.
  16. The young lads have developed really well under Goodwin. Glass was excellent yesterday and Fotheringham showed he could also hold his own if called upon. Mochrie, Meekison and McLeod continue getting game time and in this Division I'd have no problems with them starting if another player was injured. Great to see young Owen Stirton bench and being involved in warm up and fan appreciation at end. Although I did notice that at the end of the warm up he had responsibility of collecting the balls and putting them in the big holdall.
  17. Honestly yes he is a good player. He's not a striker but an attacking midfielder that wins the ball and sets up play for another player. His playing minutes has mostly been as a sub for United in last 15 minutes of games. Been difficult for United's young midfielders last couple of seasons. We've had Glass, Fotheringham, Meekison and Mochrie all competing for similar positions with established players
