  1. Seems the new American is no stranger to these shores https://nonleague.pitchero.com/uncategorized/exciting-times-ahead-for-alfreton-36386/ https://bpafc.com/jonathan-collura-on-his-involvement-with-bradford-park-avenue/
  2. Second thoughts at Shielfield possibly. Sadly I am not a member of any of those any longer, but fair dos to them for doing this https://berwickrangers.com/colts-proposal-call-confirmed/
  3. Supporters Trust never even asked members for their views. So that's another few quid a month saved.
  4. There's going to be some moaning when a key player suffers a serious injury against the Colts teams and is ruled out for a large chunk of the season. So even if the points don't count there's still huge potential for the games to have a major impact on the season. Still, it will all be worth it when we win the World Cup thanks to the experience some 18 year old had at Innerleithen one January day pumping a team that conceded on average eight goals a game.
  5. Ah well it won't make much difference but they'll need nine extra fans at each of the colts games as there is 18 games I won't be at
  6. Looks like being tight. I suspect my club may support it.
  7. It was driven by a Braves fan so two consultations in one
  8. To a certain degree he has a point. Other clubs, including my own, are 'consulting ' with fans which isn't the same a letting them make decisions. I have worked in jobs where we have 'consulted' with customers but the decisions have long been made. It's easy enough to say 'we consulted but we have the full facts at our finger tips and taking all things into consideration we appreciate the input of our fan base, however..........'. My experience also tells me that when you ask people to get in touch with their views they very rarely do and then complain afterwards when the decision isn't the one they like or want (guilty as charged), which is very different from holding public meetings, polls etc (I appreciate the time constraints on this). I suspect many of us voicing our outrage on the forums won't get in touch with the club to say no and it's interesting to note that many of the social media posters closest to the top are silent or neutral on the matter on the forums. It could be argued that the statement explaining the proposal issued by Berwick is geared very much to supporting it particularly because of the financial side. There is very little about costs or potential disadvantages. The Old Firm are smart enough to realise clubs are struggling post-COVID and the appeal of extra money may be enough to swing them behind the proposal.
  9. Spot on. No doubt some Lowland and Highland chairmen will be bought off with the promise of two places for each league in the bottom tier - some because they think they'll be one of the two and others because they think it will give them a better chance in the future of getting into the league. Not even sure it will make that much difference to crowds as they don't exactly flock through the gates for the Colts' cup games
  10. Doubling down in my admiration of your faith in them
  11. Rearranged home game against BSC for next Saturday (brought forward from March) and Gala away for a week on Tuesday. Not hard to see the nosedive to the bottom four continuing after those games
  12. Our management team appreciate your input
  13. Doubt one of the Gala games will happen as 26th December is the next round of cup and I would imagine at least one of us will get through. Describing those two games as winnable is also a potential stretch given they sit five points and two places above us.
  14. Right I'm going out on a limb here and given my lack of engagement in recent years for various reasons both personal and utter disillusion I'm probably the last person who should be doing this but hey ho. Virtually every club seems to have a supporters Facebook group but we don't outwith the official club one, and the Supporters Club and Trust ones. To that end I have created an independent group which obviously it would be good if people could contribute to it (there's also an affiliated Twitter). The idea will be to move away from just discussing where we are now and where we are going, clearly PnB provides a forum for that, but also to give fans a chance to share memories - good and bad, updates on ex-players, and anything else of interest to the Berwick fan. As we enter a new era with no idea what lies ahead it will also be a chance to look at very unfamiliar opposition and to share experience and dare I say it adventure of the next season. Anyway, give it a go or don't, it can be found https://www.facebook.com/groups/428696671241007/ Yeah, not the greatest name, but it made sense to me
  15. Nothing like a sense of perspective and that's nothing like a sense of a perspective. Get a fucking grip
  16. If only that were true, sadly the town of Berwick has very little interest in the football club except for the very big games. Large portions of the regular home crowd come from outside Berwick and have for many years.
  17. Bottom of East Of Scotland Conference A - played 24, won 1, drew 1, lost 22, scored 20 conceded 115 That's exactly the sort of progression we are making already
  18. I'd forgotten about them - makes it easy then, back to the right size league. Though the HL will have to find a new team or shrink
  19. Will someone get booted from Lowland League to another league to keep it at 15 or will they extend it to 16? Serious question - in England it can be a nightmare. This year all four teams relegated from the conference should go to the southern premier so there will be juggling around. I'm pretty sure some midlands clubs end up moving leagues frequently (I have not done extensive research into this)
