He was good enough but he wanted to full time.
But maybe a regular starting place in the Championship not on the left wing would have given him a springboard for a better move.

There is also play offs if we finish second bottom. I don't see Falkirk, Airdire, Edinburgh being favourites to beating us over two legs.
James Craigen's Edinburgh or Liam Henderson's Falkirk? I'm not so sure.

New signings seems a bit of a punt! Fingers crossed it’s a hidden gem
I think a punt is acceptable after our recent strengthening. He seems like a nice cheerful lad.

Simon Murray away to Ross County,
Thankfully won't see him again this season
I’m amazed QP let him go. Are they serious about promotion?

Low staying at Kelty until the end of the season.
Just as well really. No way was he coming back to us and it'd be sad to see him sitting out the rest of this season. I've still not forgiven him, though.

Got told Nicky Low is injured and needs an operation. Also not sure how he could walk back into the team either after everything that’s happened.
Oakley coming back to Scotland but supposedly to QP. I genuinely think I’d rather have Scott Stewart there. He just seems more robust and a bigger physical presence. Oakley will probably do well at QP and it’ll give him a chance to work on a different part of his game.
I’m very disappointed to hear Oakley is coming back to a team in our league. I know QP are at the other end of the table but I can’t see how he’ll develop much better there - unless Birmingham don’t rate our coaching? I’d have expected him to take a step up, E.g. to a top English league 1 team. Maybe living in Glasgow is more attractive

I only count 6 and 6.
In: Dow, Adarkwa, Balde, Olusanda, El Mhanni and Hetherington
Out: Corfe, Hoti, Isiaka, Fosu, Shanks and Oakley
Was it just an error on his part or did he let slip that there’s one more to leave and one more to arrive?
Hancock out too.

In his post match interview Dick said “7 in and 7 out”. I count 6 in. Did I miss one or is this Dick’s usual grasp of numbers?

Interesting to see Arbroath choosing to play their number 2 goalkeeper for the cup. Also got 50 year old Rab Douglas on the Bench.
Which probably means Gaston isn't fit enough to play.

No stream this week. And no audio stream either.
I’ve read what the club say but really? BBC highlights? I don’t get it. Very disappointed there’s no international stream.

Good view here. Doesn’t look like a penalty. Oh well.

These highlights are better quality than the official ones and these are filmed on a phone at the back of the stand.
I’ve seen worse highlights packages. A very soft penalty.

JT was done. He chucked it at the Hamilton game. In first half stopped tracking man with ball in the box and went to cover the front post. Stewart had to bust a gut blocking the cross. He gave Thomson what for
I don’t disagree but what I mean is we can sign great right backs. We had 4 great seasons from JT.

Like Oakley or JT.

He's been out injured for ages. How about some patience eh?
I agree. But even when fit Scott Stewart is not yet a very good right back. He has all the attributes to be one but needs to learn the role. I’d be happier in the short term if we could sign a very good right back. Easier said than done.

Back to the interminable waiting for a new striker. I hear there's one called Godot...

Miko VIrtanen has left Accies.

After a number of years of great success based on a stable squad the start of the inevitable transition has arrived this season. It's quite a change.
Remained at the club from last season -
Gaston, Gold, Hammy, Hilson, Linn, Little, McKenna, O’Brian, Stewart
Left -
Antell, Craigen, Donnelly, Henderson, Low, Swankie, Thompson
Left at end of loan -
Dowds, Chris Hamilton, Jack Hamilton, Wighton
In then out -
Corfe(?), Fosu, Hancock (loan), Isiaka, Oakley (loan),Paterson (loan out), Shanks (loan out)
In -
Adarkwa, Allan, Balde, Bitsindou (loan), Dow, Gill, Hoti, Jacobs, El-Mhanni, Tait (loan), Hetherington (loan)
Of our current squad of 20 -
9 remain from last season
6 arrived earlier this season
5 arrived in January
and we're apparently not finished yet.
It's not surprising that we've become very inconsistent.
This year and next (if we can stay in the Championship) will be tough ones.

Adarkwa was good. A bit raw - needs a bit more control - but powerful, determined, hard working and had a couple of decent efforts from the edge of the box.

Our line up tomorrow will be…
f*** knows.
definitely in
gaston, Oakley, little, TOB, Hammy, Balde, Yasim, Stewart, McKenna. if available.

Hetherington another loan. I can't find the current rules anywhere. How many can we have? (Praying for at least one striker on loan.)

We do love signing midfielders.
I'm a bit baffled by this signing. Is Hoti leaving?

No news on Oakley going or staying. It'll be a big blow if he goes although Gold and Stewart can cover right back. I think we need to keep BItsindou for defensive midfield and CB cover. I doubt Livi want him back yet.
No news of Corfe leaving yet...

It's all academic now as he left. But what I mean is that he was a real prospect for us in defence. Ricky, TOB and Hammy are all over 30 and as we've seen this year their impeccable form every week wasn't going to last. In my view Henderson was at least as good a defensive midfielder as Chris Hamilton - probably better as he can actually pass the ball - and he was OUR player. Wee Chris was always going to be off somewhere. Henderson should also have had some games at left back. But I know suggesting Hammy is ever dropped will get me pilloried on here. In my view the boy has talent and we should have been thinking of the future. That is not Dick's style, I know.
