  1. All good thanks Done a lot more reading on here in recent years, rather than spouting my nonsense, no point carping from the sidelines. Managed 5 games last season, saw us lose 4 times (how I managed that in a title winning season I’ll never know) and only decided last minute to go to the last game of the season, really glad I did though.
  2. Problem the club has got is attracting lapsed fans back to attending more games, I’m one of them, work for the past 6 years has prevented me from attending games. As someone who attended every home game for 25 years, and a fair few away games too, would I say I’ve missed it every week? No, I wouldn’t. Always still looked out for the scores but apart from the 4 or 5 games a season I’ve managed, that’s as far as my interest has went in recent years. One thing I will say though is there’s a visable increase in people wearing the clubs colours coming into my work in past month or so, and around town, and the clubs done well with the charm offensive in engaging with the public so far since winning the league. Wether this indicates a substantial increase in crowds on match days remains to be seen. Does this mean that I’ll go out of my way to request match days off work? I’ll certainly try make it to a few more games this season, but the club has to do its part, and make the product on the park an attractive product, as the days of me having blind loyalty and following the club week in week out are gone.

  4. Just got back early hours of this morning after the Stereophonics gig in Cardiff at the weekend. Brilliant gig, and really sound people down there. Couldnt have asked for a better weekend Scunnered by the news of Stuart Cable's death this morning though RIP Stuart
  5. Considering grabbing a few beers out the fridge, once ive finished my hangover cure of fry up and irn bru of course
  6. Strongbow again Got some vodka for later on though so i fully expect to have a nice hangover tomorow at the football
  7. Aye pear cider is alright for a few drinks, but gets sickly, just hope that the Strongbow ciderhouse returns next year to the festival, by far the best cider
  8. Im still waiting on mines chilling Actually not that bad this stuff, was expecting it to be worse. Gaymers was the only cider they had at one of the festivals i went to last year, and i found myself drinking a fair bit of the normal stuff aswell as the pear stuff
  9. I always have a steady supply, take one oot the fridge and another goes straight in
  10. That depends if i make it through my firewalk next Friday evening unharmed
  11. I wouldnae touch the stuff until last year. Memories of drinking too much cider in my youth just put me off it, but when its all ye have in the hotel room before a festival, ye suddenly develop a taste for it. Certainly made arriving onsite and pitching a tent rather interesting
  12. been a long long time since ive sat here after watching Ayr win, i think a slip off the wagon is justified in this case
  13. After a few hours of wondering wether or not to take some more pain killers for my back, i opted to not take some and instead get tanned into the Strongbow that was in the fridge. Wise choice cos even though i can still feel the pain, i no longer care
  14. It took them 3 days to come out to mines (and i pay for the Scottish gas Homecare package, which is meant to be 24hr call out) Ours went out on NYD very early in the morning Didnt even have a proper look at it when they did come, just opened up the front panel, looked for about 5 seconds, then closed it and said they would need to order parts, slapped a big "DO NOT USE" sticker on it (aye fuckin good one, like it could be used ) and then pissed off again. Few days later they finally came round and fixed it. Altogether 6 days without heating in this fuckin weather
  15. There is no legal entitlement to extra pay or indeed the day off on christmas day, or any other recognised public holiday. As long as the employer allows the minimum days off then its all legal. My work annoys me with the way holidays are done. I only get 5 floating days to take, all the rest of my holidays are dictated to me.
  16. Got a ticket for Stereophonics on 2nd March at Glasgow for my birthday
  17. Just had a couple of mince n tattie toasties
  18. silly wee lassies who think they are good at running pubs. Was in a pub last night for a mates 30th, one of my friends had something like 3 drinks at this point (but had bought 5 shots for the mate who's bithday it was) he went to sit on a really small bar stool, missed it and fell on his arse, just a daft moment, he got straight back up with his full drink still in his hand, barmaid then came over and asked him to leave Now it was quite clear with the way he got up, with his full drink still in his hand, that he wasnt drunk, and just had a daft moment, but this wee lassie who was barely outta nappies was adamant that he was well pished and had enough If pubs threw everyone out that had a silly moment they would have no customers. The smart thing would have been to keep an eye on him and judge wether or not that he had too much, the fact that we then moved to another pub and got quite heavily pished after this, and then still managed to get into another pub says it all about this daft wee lassies over reaction. Still, should have expected something like that when a pub in town was left with only 2 18 year old lassies behind the bar with no bouncers or senior staff on a friday night.
