  1. They have one already - it's called a Presidential Election.
  2. Much as it's been a terrible season for you guys, being patronised by a St Mirren fan must be a new low.
  3. About as much relevance as him being Scottish and a footballer - just done to get as many views as possible.
  4. I wouldn't beat myself up over it - I'm certain she will have realised exactly what happened. Best wait a while before going back, though!
  5. When we bought our 1st place we had an endowment mortgage and life assurance was built into the premium - I think as a requirement. We also bought redundancy/illness insurance which was a waste of money in retrospect but isn't most insurance? As our salaries began to grow and the mortgage stayed static we stopped paying the insurances/assurances that were not obligatory. Long story short - if your mortgage is 'high' relative to income then maybe get some cover for peace of mind.
  6. We get that where I am as well, and on an industrial scale; one of the pair joins the queue with a half-full trolley and the other finishes the shopping - and not just a couple of things either. While I'm at it - it's a thing where I am amongst young 'uns to join 2 queues and then one of the pair will jump across to the queue which is about to be served 1st at the last minute. C***S! OK - a last one as it happened this morning. I was turning into a busy car park where there was a fountain which served as a roundabout (or circles as we call them in the civilised world ). The guy in the truck behind actually took the roundabout in the wrong direction to cut in front of me to grab the last parking spot (last laugh on him though as the security guard moved a few cones to let me park so a bit of a minter for truck man).
  7. Shouldn't this be posted in the "Things You Made Up Thread"?
  8. Genuinely never considered that to be arsehole behaviour. Me, the wife and son always do that. Strange if all 3 of us queued up to order and then looked for a table IMO.
  9. Aye, I remember those days - the strands of wool glued on for hair and the felt from the pen seeping through into the egg. Happy days!
  10. Ach, you'll catch on eventually. Now I think of it, when we were wee we often got a gift instead of an egg from close relatives such as grannies or aunts. Not as expensive as a birthday or Christmas present though.
  11. Yet again the Dees are looking to bounce back from a poor result - we've done it thus far so fingers crossed. After last night, a draw wouldn't seem such a bad outcome.
  12. I doubt even an optimistic Raith fan would put their chances at 50/50.
