  1. The more the game continues like this, with Liverpool completely dominating and racking up decent scoring opportunities at 1-0 without scoring, the more clearly I can picture Fernandes' equaliser from the penalty spot followed by Hojlund's last-gasp winner.
  2. I don't think Silva's one is a penalty, but it is exactly the sort of incident where you could essentially justify playing on, awarding a penalty, or issuing a booking for simulation without any of those on-field decisions being considered a clear and obvious error. The bar for intervention in Scotland seems too low for me, just as a personal preference, and has been since VAR was introduced.
  3. If Liverpool win the title with a team of ten year olds in Klopp's last season then it is the best underdog story in football history.
  4. It's a GAFTSG (Great Advert For The Scottish Game).
  5. Idah is such an odd player. Sometimes looks really handy, like at that goal, but other times looks like he has never seen a football before.
  6. I'm not going to lie, I went full Celtic conspiracist for about two seconds when Beaton looked like he was pointing at the centre spot after checking the disallowed goal.
  7. That's a really embarrassing decision. Walsh is one of the better officials and I'm surprised he's decided to intervene there.
  8. There is an opportunity for Southgate to do something very funny and recall Hart for the Euros as third choice.
  9. Increasingly convinced with every passing game that Arsenal, if anything, underpaid for Declan Rice.
  10. The last three games have confirmed to me that there isn't much at all between us and any team from about Motherwell downwards, even Livingston although they are obviously a bit adrift points-wise. We are a very bad team, unbalanced and poorly coached, but thankfully have a little bit more individual quality that we have fleetingly been able to utilise at least the two games before today. Our laughable off-field incompetence and the ridiculous managerial circus obviously hasn't helped matters, but there can be no doubt at all now that the league position is a fair reflection of this group. What a mess Dave is making of this.
  11. The pitch and conditions are undoubtedly not helping matters, but that is right up there with the worst halves of football I have ever seen in the Scottish top flight. I suspect that our recent run (two games) of good results has had more to do with variance than anything else, but just have to hope we can find a way to somehow scrape a win in the second half.
  12. I will renew mine shortly. I was waiting for today to pass so I can't accidentally win the five-year season ticket competition.
  13. That's me working from home, except I would usually substitute the trousers for a comfy pair of joggers. It's a great look!
  14. Did we ever put on sale B1-B8? I can see that they are greyed out, but assuming they have not been sold and are possibly being held back? Still loads of availability in the South Stand for us. It wouldn't surprise me if we struggle to hit 10k.
  15. I’m afraid Pochettino wouldn’t win a raffle even if you gave him the winning ticket.
  16. Playing out from the back is woke.
  17. Newcastle need Jose in the summer. My word, they love their football up there - and they will fall in love with Jose when he brings home the Carabao Cup.
  18. I don't think McCoist was joking, but I don't think he was nodding and winking to sectarianism either; I think it is most likely that he was just being a standard issue, sixty-something, British bloke who genuinely believes that you can't say anything nowadays without being arrested.
  19. TOP TIP: If you find yourself struggling to join in with football chat in the pub tonight, just drop this in. Stamp your authority on the conversation.
  20. Just thinking about the overwhelming temptation that Cormack must have had to tweet out an April Fool's this morning about appointing himself as manager or something (probably accompanied by a bad Photoshop), followed by a Lampardian transition to: "Seriously, fellow Dandies, Alan and I are working very hard - final stages now!"
  21. I don't mind it, but I don't partake unless I have run a full background check on the person beforehand and been satisfied with the outcome.
  22. Just something to cheer you all up after that.
  23. The referee has essentially chosen not to book Rice for that obviously bookable challenge on Haaland because it is Man City v Arsenal and not Brighton v Sheffield United or something.
  24. Southgate is currently sitting in his living room wondering if that will be enough to justify giving Mount a seat on the plane.
