  1. EoS Conference A chat 2018-19

I'm sure that is what the committee will be seeking to achieve! As we move forward to this new set up, hopefully, lots of positives will out, both on the park and behind the scenes! MTB! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Pie and Bovril mobile app

Apart from Linlithgow, I would have said conf C is weakest league, but it's just an opinion! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Pie and Bovril mobile app

Supporters man of the match award at last night’s match went to the Manager Calvin Shand! A tad innovative here and why not! Musselburgh have won 24 out of 29 league games They have scored more goals and conceded less goals than any other team in the league. They have the best home and away records in the league at this time! Huge contribution to this has to be Calvin who picks the team each week, and tactics are generally spot on! Well done Calvin, and award richly deserved!

For second week there was more than one winner of the Supporters man of match award. Last Saturday, the team collectively won the award for winning the league title. Yesterday Bradley Whyte was joint man of match alongside Mathu King. As usual, Bradley did an immense amount of running, mainly to support the front duo, but he also scored his first goal for the team. Mathu King scored four goals and on a good day could have doubled that as there were clear chances in front of him. Both worthy winners. Fauldhouse were not at their best in the first half, but there was a big improvement from the start of the second half. Thought Darren Gribben was their best player until he was subbed, with David O’Donnell and Jamie MacLeod (sub) the best of the rest.

Being the Hoose manager of course he is going to agree with you! [emoji38]

Thanks you JC1. It's fitting that the teams meet on our last home match of season. Both teams got relegated. Both teams had new management team last year but committees had the confidence to see what would happen this time around & it has worked. Had we been staying in the Juniors it looks as if both teams would have made a straight return to Super League, which doesn't usually happen. I and am sure all your friends at Musselburgh, including Calvin, Allan and Mathu wish you all best next year. Given recent results including the one against Bo'ness you should be looking at a top half finish!

After the jubilation of Saturday the players return to Olivebank for the final home match of the season. Fauldhouse are the opponents and still lots to play for. Musselburgh looking for point(s) to set a new premier league record and to remain undefeated at home this season. Fauldhouse look to secure 2nd place in the league ahead of Haddington. Must be one of the most important matches this season so hope a good crowd comes along to watch.

Still matches of importance to look forward to as we head towards season end. On Saturday, top 2 teams in the league meet at Olivebank. If Musselburgh win/draw they will have gone through this year’s campaign unbeaten at home! Fauldhouse look to finish runners up in the league, and a win will help this process. First match this season, was 6 months ago, with the score 1-1 at Park View.

P1st as a [email protected]! Never drink on an empty stomach! Hope he enjoyed the match and his celebrations as much as he is going to hate tomorrow!

The guy that does the report for the Musselburgh matches, is a bit under the weather following the excitement of the match. So, the report will not be written until tomorrow afternoon. Not surprisingly, there was no individual who won the supporters club man of the match award today. As the 3-0 win against Dalkeith, secured the league title, the award was shared amongst all of the Burgh players and coaching staff. Well done guys and thank you for a great and enjoyable season.
  13. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Thank you my good friend. It has been a great season for us after the huge disappointment we had last season! Ultimate aim for Musselburgh was to be in the top 2 come end of season and get a straight return to the Super League! The next aim was then to be promoted as champions. Had we stayed in the current set-up, job done! Fact that we are going onto new venture, didn’t detract the team from these two aims. I have no doubt that our first aim is exactly the same as Jon and his Fauldhouse players were aiming for as well! That scenario is still in your own hands, and with The Hoose still in a cup quarter final, the boys of Park View should be proud of its achievements this year!
  14. Musselburgh Athletic 2017/18

Will this be the week that was (or is)? Musselburgh will win the Premier League title if they avoid defeat tomorrow at home against Dalkeith! Lets hope it’s done in style with a win!
  15. Fauldhouse United 2017/18

Come on fup! Lads should and will be up for it tomorrow and if not questions will be asked for 3 reasons! 1. Great result last night so The Hoose boys should be in buoyant mood for tomorrow! 2. Genuinely think that either the Hoose or the Hihis will finish 2nd. You are in the driving seat to do so & have a home match to boot! 3. The Hoose still have a slim chance of winning the title. Whilst that is there your players shouldn't need anyone's help for keeping on going! I know, if it was that simple, Musselburgh would have got the 1 point needed from the last 3 matches to avoid relegation last season. But you don't want to come away thinking, if only! JC should be able to have his feet up in the dug out wearing in his slippers! Teamtalk shouldn't be required! All best to the Hoose tomorrow!
