Letting Paterson go is a disgrace, I’m hearing that McKinnon barely spoke to him the last few months. If that’s true it says all you need to know about RM. You don’t need to like the people you work with but you do need to be enough of an adult to form a working relationship. Like Bridies Here Bridies There said earlier, Ray is a toddler. If he doesn’t want him in the team right now then allow him a loan spell at the higher club thus helping the lad further his career, standing in his way because you don’t like someone is unprofessional.

I agree, the facilities have improved under his watch, largely down to him. As you also point out, his football decisions haven’t been good. I was against sacking DC, I believed he could and would turn it around. That said, I believed he was heading naturally to a DoF role and SP would’ve been promoted to first team head coach. However, AD had his idea of getting rid of DC completely and bringing in GB. We’ve been up and down, mainly down, since. A brief and exciting resurgence under Weir only prevented us from being where we are earlier.

Maybe he’ll go out in a blaze of glory with a hat trick on Saturday?

Despite Matty Aitken being the last to come through the old youth system at Forfar he simply wasn’t the right fit for us or us for him. As proven by playing in a strong Stenny team he’s showing his strengths, something that was lost to successive managers at SP. As for any arguments that he’s only benefiting from a stronger squad then remember he left us and went to a rank awful Albion Rovers squad and scored loads for them. I wish Matty nothing but success in his career though maybe an extreme off day this Saturday would be appreciated I cannot see anything but a home win on Saturday

We should have been out of sight before the red card and should’ve won overall, two points dropped. From where I was it didn’t look a straight red but look forward to seeing the highlights for confirmation one way or another.

My club, Forfar Athletic, have no money so won’t be signing anyone. We’re short in most positions. The best we can hope for are loan signings who, just for a change, might be interested and be capable but I’m not holding my breathe…. Realistically all we can hope for is to stay in above Elgin and/or Clyde and avoid doom, unrealistically we can hope that RM decides to leave and we get a manager who can do something with the squad. We have some duffers but we have some very decent players in there too.
