  1. Fingers crossed for dry weather on Saturday then. Please note KO is 1pm this week as the Ants have another game on after ours.
  2. Not been on for a while so here is the latest news. Maurice George has left the club by mutual consent & Kenney McComish has resigned as coach. A new management team will be in in place early in the New Year, Peter McKenna & Tam Montgomery from Harmony Row U21s. On a sadder note, committee member Jimmy "Flash" McMonagal passed away on 17 December, his funeral will be on 28th December at Dalnottar Crematorium at 3.30pm. Away to Maryhill tomorrow, weather permitting obviously, 1.45pm KO.
  3. Weather permitting, the Whe Ho are away to Glasgow Perthshire tomorrow, 1.45pm KO.
  4. The Whe Ho are at home tomorrow v Royal Albert, 1.45pm KO (weather permitting). I'll be going down to the ground early to check the pitch so keep an eye on the website for a possible postponement.
  5. Greg Cree in dubious circumstances.
  6. Worst league performance of the season thus far. Competed well enough in a strangely lethargic 1st half, I think the Shotts lads had their night-oot heids on LOL Lost two quick goals at the start of the 2nd half & that was that basically. Yet another red card though & two more injuries sustained, Elalial Hadji limped off & Andy Campbell done his hamstring.
  7. Andy Campbell for being fouled & punched on the back of the head on the way down, first game back after a bad concussion at Cambuslang, called the ref an idiot. Greg McBride for simulation (he slipped) 2nd yellow. The work is allegedly starting in January but i'll believe when I see it, possibly sharing with the Ants although I'd prefer somewhere with a bit of cover instead.
  8. A hard-fought 2-2 draw on Saturday for a 9-man Whe Ho with possibly the worst refereeing display I've this season thus far. A card-happy wee arsehole who was unwilling to listen to reason, he even sent off our linesman after he stated the ball was out from a dozen yards away!!!! Needless to say our chap took exception to this, words were said & off he went.
  9. At home to East Kilbride Thistle tomorrow, 1.45pm KO.
  10. Kelly's Heroes Zulu Back to the Future trilogy Battle of Britain Shawshank Redemption Silent Running The Quiet Man Ferris Bueller's Day Off The Dollars Trilogy High Plains Drifter The Outlaw Josey Wales The Dambusters The Cruel Sea Dunkirk (1958 version) All the Carry On films (apart from the really crap ones towards the end) Fort Apache the Bronx The Warriors The Terminator (1 & 2) Wheels of Terror (adapted from the Sven Hassell novel)
  11. Chicken Rogan Josh Chicken Jullunder Special Chicken Bhuna Chicken Achari South Indian Garlic Chilli Chicken
  12. That's James Ross. Hopefully we will, they were lucky to beat us at their own ground earlier in the season, we only had eleven players & no recognised goalie.
  13. We have, Clinton Onutu being the only one I can actually remember. We had a morale boosting victory on Saturday 1-0 v Blantyre Vics & we have some players back from injury, James Ross being the most notable.
  14. Cambuslang Rangers away on Saturday, WofS Cup 1st Round, Orange strips being worn, 14.00 KO.
  15. Shettleston away tomorrow, 2.00pm KO. It's quite possible we will be wearing the orange away strip.
  16. Fine away victory at Maybole (2-3) on Saturday & a vital three points. McBride & Maitland (2) the goalscorers. Confident of winning at Shettleston this Saturday too.
  17. Anaya's Grillhouse in Helensburgh, top class food & service.
  18. We Are Detective - The fu**in Thomson Twins & they were sh*te!!!!
  19. Big Brother/Celebrity Big Brother/I'm a Celebrity (allegedly)/X-Factor/BGT. Basically any reality TV sh*te.
  20. Injuries & holidays mainly. Muirkirk never really troubled us tbh, like I said, legs began to tire & they should have had a man sent off for a blatant second yellow but the ref bottled it.
  21. Hard fought 2-2 draw against Muirkirk in the Cup. We were actually leading at half time but with only eleven players showing up & Andy Campbell in goal again, the guys began to wilt a wee bit & Muirkirk scored their equaliser. We will have 5 or 6 players back for the replay so we will finish the tie off this weekend.
  22. I don't watch BBC news programmes but most of those mentioned so far are guilty of rampant c**tery in the extreme.
  23. Bit of an exaggeration there mate, first sending off this season!!!!
  24. A hard fought 2-2 draw away to Bellshill Athletic on Saturday, a penalty & a 20-yard free kick from Greg Maitland securing a point for the Whe Ho. Finished the game with 10 men as Greg McBride was sent off late on (2nd yellow card).
  25. Gareth Watson was in goal for us on Saturday (he's played for us before), Liam's hip finally gave out. Andy was playing in the back four & was an absolute stand out. Campbell Bissland usually posts the team on Twitter but he was on holiday on Saturday
