IIRC there was a big deflection from a free kick at the fifth (I think) goal and instead of at least trying to ssve it, no matter how impossible, he just watched it sail in and he just accepted that it was going in, rather than trying even a little. I believe that Ewings would have at least threw a hand out to try and catch that one, no matter how impossible.
