  1. Have a greenie to compensate for the reddie I just gave you above. IPads are fucking shite for typing etc
  2. Fair comments, WRK (ok to abbreviate?). I've followed this from the beginning, and if I'm honest, a lot of what you have said over the piece has been very good. You have, unfortunately, let your standards slip by the tetes-a-tete with the three Amigos. Which you've 'fessed to - fair enough. We've hit a period of slow news so I guess we could all easily be sidetracked as a result. If you feel like ripping them a new one - fair comment as well. They deserve it. Although, I think Tedi is actually ok on occasions. The two Ben.....'s really are fair game, IMO. Lastly, just to be clear - I'm a Dumbarton fan, have been since I was 5 - that was 45 years ago. So I try not to be too active in threads like this because I support a diddy club and whilst I could contribute lots, I prefer to stick to the diddy club forums as I can't be bothered with put-down retorts such as "Team - Dumbarton" which I've suffered from in the past. Not looking for sympathy but that's why I rarely post here, I prefer to enjoy the intrigue. Oh, and cheers for the greenie.
  3. Well said. Several alleged Yorkshire-based Kilmarnock/The Rangers fans are spoiling this wonderful thread with their constant, non-topic whingeing and tit-for-tat point scoring. I reckon that we would be at page 2000 if it wasn't for their "contributions". Having read every page since Pozbaird opened up the best thread on here ever, the three Amigos and the White Rose Killie guy have ruined what was once a masterpiece of non-professional journalism, great debate, massive intrigue, and generally just enjoying the chess-like moves of the various shysters involved in the plot. It has almost been turned into a personal battlefield for these four characters. Dhenboy isn't much better either IMHO. It's becoming as bad as the Celtic v Rangers, Rangers v Celtic Sub-section, ie, a pile of keech.
  4. I read it, and rather enjoyed it. You should try it sometime instead of just deflecting and havering pish all the time.
  5. Christ, if a simple guy like me can read between the lines, why can't and alleged 40,000 ST purchasers not see it coming? Sevco are doomed.
  6. Ach I like to see our Scottish teams doing well in European matches, so I wish them all well. Don't care too much how they all get on domestically, though.
  7. Despite the result, you can hold your head high. You were abused - wrongly, IMO, from what you tell us - and you stood your ground with an obvious *** c**t. As a fan of one of the diddy Division Teams, rightlly proud in general about how things went this Summer, I was/am delighted to see the Well/Saints/DUFC (great former Sons player managing there!!) all in Europe. I'm proud that you all got there instead of the usual two. It matters not how far you get in the competitions, although I wish you all well.....it's the fact that you're in the CL at all that makes this season unique. All the best to you all. Including Celtic.
  8. Giving the Super Sons another chance at staying in Div 1. Thanks, Airdrie. We thought we'd be straight back down. You have given us some hope!
  9. From our website: THE Dumbarton FC Board joined other clubs this afternoon in voting to admit the Rangers Newco into the SFL Third Division, the lowest tier of Scottish professional football. After listening carefully to supporters and stakeholders, considering the available evidence, and taking an active part in recent detailed negotiations, the Board felt with the 24 other clubs who voted the same way that the Third Division option was the best one in the circumstances. Now - shut up and do one, you irritant.
  10. Please see update on post #68101. Undecided yet - no surprise, I suppose, knowing the people involved but no guarantee of a yes vote from us as yet.
  11. Er, no, not quite. Please see an extract from the SonsTrust web page yesterday: MEMBERS of the Scottish Football League are meeting tomorrow, for the second time this week, to discuss further details of evolving proposals about resolving the Newco situation at Friday’s extra general meeting. Despite a number of reports, condemnations and claims to the contrary, Dumbarton FC’s board have not publicly declared a voting position yet – though they have acknowledged the result of the poll at the recent DFC stakeholders’ meeting, and understand the depth of feeling of those who take a different view. On Sunday 8th July a statement on the official Club website confirmed that “Dumbarton’s directors aim to stay closely in touch with developments that may yet effect the final outcome.” What was shared at Saturday’s consultation was the information presented to all SFL representatives by the governing authorities last week – not a ‘Club position’. The aim was to ensure that Trust members, season ticket holders and shareholders could receive the same basic information about what has been on the table as SFL Club reps, and to have the chance to express an opinion as to which of available options would be better (or “least worst”, as most see it) in terms of consequences for Dumbarton FC and others. However, we understand that SFL negotiations remain ongoing, and important questions that have been raised about financial figures (including the settlement agreement between the SPL and the SFL, contingent on commercial agreements) are being investigated closely. The Sonstrust also understands that a further DFC Board statement will be made before the SFL meeting. Meantime, the Club’s directors are wanting to ensure that the proposals that will finally be considered at Friday’s SFL meeting, and the determinable “facts on the ground”, are as clear as possible before making their full position known. Happy to help. Can post a link if you don't believe it. Looks like we're undecided as yet, despite a "reluctant ballot in favour" by those present at last Saturday's meeting.
  12. No, they shouldn't. I have expressed my anger and disappointment on here and in Div 1 boards over what 50-odd fools bought into on Saturday at the Rock. I have also expressed similar but more vociferous commentary towards the Club this week, and have made my anger and disgust very clear to the BoDs. You can say what you like about them - their pre-planned sales pitch on Saturday was misleading, as my like-minded colleague on here will probably agree. We shouldn't hide or hang our heads in shame. We should be loud and clear in telling our Club that they have got it very, very wrong.
  13. Not lied to, but misled. The topic of the settlement money being contractual was not brought up. I think they told us that the money wouldn't forthcoming henceforth if we didn't lube up and accept Sevco 2012 into Div 1. The whole thing appears to be scaremongering tactics to suit the pre-planned decision of the Dumbarton Board to try and dupe us into voting yes. They suceeded in cajoling 50+ fools into believing their horseshit. I was, and remain, one of the 28 unconvinced with their sales pitch and am staunchly in the "vote Sevco 2012 into Div 3, or eject them for evermore" camp. They got a last-minute plea from me to vote no, but I doubt that they could understand the underlying passion - and some of the phrases I used - when I emailed them. (Cheating, lying, bullying etc)
  14. None needed. Someone said earlier that I should call you a tit for your blooper. I refused. Wouldn't call one of our fans a tit. Mind you, we both support a "diddy" club
  15. Nah, couldn't do that to one of our own.... (S)he's obviously missed the point that I was at the meeting, and so was (S)he. We're too few in number to completely fall out!!!
  16. Are you at it? Look at my pseudonym. Look at my club. Where do you think I was between 1055 and 1245 on Saturday!! Jaysus.....
  17. Not quite how it panned out.....it was a ballot box, similar to what you get at elections. To be crystal clear - there was no show of hands.
