  1. Getting pretty bored of all this winning tbh. Miss the arguments in here, and the tinfoil hats on twitter.
  2. Fantasy talk, but if RT came in, I'd not be adverse to playing a back three of Dick, O'Riordan, and Millen. It doesn't solve any issues though, it's a lack of quality in the final third that's hurting us.
  3. Say what you want about McGlynn, he put us on the map. [emoji22]
  4. How about Brown Ferguson? I thought he did a pretty decent job at Stenny, a "modern manager" might shake things up.
  5. I don't know how we're still 5th, I managed to have a word with the Raith manager, who was there to see McKay I guess, but other than that the Kelty game was a tough watch in the second half. For me Tappings inability to win second balls in the midfield is starting to show more and more, he's a tidy wee player when we're on the ball and trying to play football on the deck, but the last two home games we've struggled to hold possession.
  6. That showing last night was honking, as above but I'd add that Tapping made an impact when he came on, he at least spread the play for a while, but for the most part we look so directionless. Our only attacking play comes from forcing the ball down the wing, either by long ball or attritionally dribbling forward, at yin point city had 3 players stood on the left touch line within 5 meters of each other, you'd think from the Hearts B coach screaming 'keep your shape' consistently that we'd venture to do the same, but our shape is nothing like I've seen in football. A verticle flailing tenticle from one flank to the next. I believe Edinburgh City have decent enough players, but this coaching situation needs sorted.
  7. Zanatta has been good the day. Glad he's going to lift the championship trophy with us this season. X
  8. He's consistently hiding from the ball as we struggle to find men in midfield to break their press. We need folk busting guts to make space.
  9. I dinnae kin if this clears things up but I'll tweet the club and let yous all know if they get back to me
  10. We signed him on loan last season, but I struggle to remember him playing. Big drop from the championship, hopefully he offers you something.
  11. Will the wee bar in the ground be open before kick off? Or will I be drinking warm cans off the shelf outside morrisons?
  12. I kin its a sore one, but how was the game? Did Broomhill actually play well or were yous just a bit shite?
  13. More of a tambourine kind of guy to be homest
  14. Totally get that. What's the usual amount of season ticket holders you'd expect to get? I was number 508, so seems the team has sold a fair few.
  15. From what I've seen of the Citizens so far this year is there's massive gaps in the Midfield. It was massively noticeable during the Forfar game where they'd either consistently hit us on the break, or if we were sat in defending they had so much space to pass between the lines. Still time to get players in of course and I'd like to see the team try and get somebody in to shield the back four. Guess Andy Black is sorely missed.
  16. I just bought a season ticket with 4 of my pals, we do all support other clubs, but the Friday night football meant we could all go together, with other pals saying they'd come along when they could. I'm still buzzing for the season but I do think that Edinburgh City really could be using the 'Friday Night Football' angle to grab a few more neutrals to the games.
  17. Aye, me as well. I'm a Raith man but I live in the capital. Due to work I cannae get away to games on Saturday at 3, but Friday night football I can manage. So I got myself a season ticket for the Citizens. I cannae wait for the game both teams hardly set the heather alight so far, so it should be a good contest
  18. Alright troops, any of you able to spread some info on our new loanee signing Nathan Cooney? x
  19. Thanks very much neeber. Some game the day, the tensest I've been watching a match for sometime. The rest of the table being so tight is really not helping my nerves. To add to what yous are all saying, Bene and Frankie are immense, considering how slow we are at trying to carve out attacks, having that pair in the back (and J. Mac) is undoubtedly the reason why we're still second imo. x
  20. Alright troops, I wrote something about the team, https://bbqlou.medium.com/adam-king-my-failed-defense-of-a-struggling-midfielder-143adb4ba53c If you're interested in some of the stats behind our midfield you might like to read it. xx
  21. Nice one mate, shame, the fridge was full of cans enaw.
  22. How Dan Armstrong was able to get the pass off, which eventually leads to a shot on goal from this position? wowee
